I just got my bundle of the Series 5 Minis in the mail (and did my usual photoshoot review of them like I did with all of the other minis except for the Series 1 ones).
So far, I can already say that the box containing Leafpool & Crowfeather stayed the most intact while the other two are looking a tad rough. Also, the box containing Cloudtail & Longtail is bigger than the other two boxes (and the previous mini boxes as well) thus proving once again that Cloudtail is indeed a fluffy boi even as his mini version. Frostpaw & Spottedleaf might be my favorite out of the six character designs though.
My package of minis (which included that pair of yellow ThunderClan socks for ten bucks, a total impulse buy because I was feeling brave while ordering everything and for some reason thought today would be a good day to finally order something to wear in a color that never suited me and that has never had a place in my wardrobe before lmao)
First look at them all trapped in their boxes
Box size comparison (and damage)
Back of the box (only pic with my cat kinda being in it since she took one look at Crowfeather and just ran)
Frostpaw & Spottedleaf (aka local cinnamon roll and best-smelling cat ever)
Cloudtail & Longtail (aka annoying but lovable fluffball and reformed longboi)
Special mention to how little space Longtail has in his shared box with Cloudtail (worst boxmate for him ever but now I cannot get a Human AU of them out of my head where they are indeed roommates)
Leafpool & Crowfeather (aka local bi mess and sadboi)
For anyone wondering why the lighting is colder in the last three pictures (featuring Leafpool and Crowfeather), that's because it was getting rather dusky outside (it was half past 7PM where I lived at that point). Or should I rather say like twilight...I'll see myself out (but it was really fitting considering how theunnecessary LeafCrow rushed romance happened in Twilight and I happened to take pics of their minis at that time of day lol). Also love how Leafpool's expression can lowkey be read as "help me".
As a for the review: The boxes most likely got damaged like that during transport (highly doubt they would send me damaged ones). All of the figurines seem well (enough) made with only my Cloudtail and my Leafpool having a few dents and blemishes on them (which is funny considering that they are both from the same family/cousins in the series). Crowfeather is a bit dusty (what else is new) and Spottedleaf seems to have a slightly botched coloration job done on one part of her tail. My Frostpaw and my Longtail seemingly had nothing wrong with them. All in all, I like them all and would say this was a good batch overall (although Longtail does not really look like I imagined him or even much like his GN self). I think the most book accurate set is Leafpool & Crowfeather while the Frostpaw & Spottedleaf box is my personal favorite.
By the way, I voted for Frostpaw (because the star-shaped leaf detail is just *chef's kiss*) but honestly think that they all look great in terms of design (even if Longtail looks different than I thought) and love that they have different expressions and details on them that make them seem more unique as characters than previous batches (even though most of the poses got reused as usual except for Cloudtail and Frostpaw).
