Plotting & OOC thread for Mutiny On The High Seas, where two rival crews are after the same treasure on waters that may be cursed... and the first mate cannot be trusted.
After the basic stuff is done, this is the thread that can be used for sharing songs that relate to characters/the rp, pictures, reacting to posts, just chatting, etc.!

Here is a basic character sheet you can start filling out if you want, but you can add more categories to it if you feel the need for them!
There is no character limit as long as you can handle them/remember their storyline. I'd say just make what you feel like making now, and we can always add more on a whim later. (As we get deep into the RP and are used to each-other's styles, character apps won't be needed anymore unless you plan to do something potentially lore-changing with them!)
Pirate / Human App.
Copy-and-Paste Version:
Ghosts, Sirens, and Other Tall Tales App.
(I'm not planning on making any sea-haunt characters right away, but there's an app just in case you wanted to.)

My Characters
Eagen "Dead-Eye" Murchadh
Name: Eagen "Dead-Eye" Murchadh
Age: 51
Gender: Male
Station: Captain of the Lazy Harriet (he claims he named it after his ex-wife, though whether or not he was ever actually married is something known to only him)
Loyalty: Himself, his treasure, and his crew.
Appearance: Standing at a firm 5'10", Eagen Murchadh is a man of brawny, stocky stature... with a brazen look in his eye, which never burns out! That's right-- his eye. Singular! The red-brown one on his left is the real eye, and its ever changing partner on the right is painted glass, no more than that! It's never of consistent color, but Dead-Eye Murchadh is never of consistent temper. He picks whatever he feels will intimidate his target the most that day, as well as compliment his thick, curly black beard and his hair, which is usually tied in a short ponytail. To boot, Eagen Murchadh has dark, unruly eyebrows and a chin that could hammer a nail in place. (He's got the scars to prove it, albeit not from hammering a nail. Such is a dramatization he tells to anyone foolish enough to listen.) He has multiple missing or gold teeth, and his once-fair skin is now tanned and rough from years of sun and sea, but he would have it no other way. Eagen Murchadh fancies himself a true pirate captain, always a step above the rest. His outfits reflect this. Although not flamboyant or extravagantly dressed, he can never be caught without proper regalia, including his scarlet jacket, dark blue waistcoat, and purple sash. His boots are leather and reach almost to his knees, while adding a bit of height. He owns a tricorn hat, which he only wears when he means serious business, but none of this is as important as the swords and pistols he has strapped about him! A good pirate is never caught unarmed... and the Dead-Eye claims to be the best pirate of all!
Weapon: Flintlock pistols and swords
Personality: Cap'n Murchadh just can't seem to control himself. If you go to port, the seamen there will tell you that if there was ever a living stereotype of a pirate, it was good old Dead-Eye Murchadh, who abides by the pirate code of honor only when it suits him, and is a nuisance only because he finds it fun! Eagen Murchadh is every bit a man of the sea. He never went to school, but he can read the stars like the back of his own hand. He loves nothing more than the feeling of the seaspray on his face, and the wind in his hair, and he cares about very few people-- but those he does care for, he cares for deeply. Such passion, however, is a double-edged sword. The same man who will pat you on the back with an adventurous glint in his eye, rum in hand, and a smile upon his face, and relay to you the tales of far off lands... is the very same man who will not hesitate to rob ye blind and gut ye like a fish, and sail away laughing! At his core, Murchadh is a very competitive man, who must come out on top, no matter what. His idea of fun is a healthy rivalry and a blatant disregard for others in exchange for his own amusement, and this has lead to some people flocking to join his crew, seeing him as some kind of legend... and to others wanting nothing more than his head on a plate. Such is the reason Eagen Murchadh lost his eye.
History: Little is known about Eagen Murchadh, except that his grandparents hailed from Ireland, and that the only education he has to his name is what he could pick up during his romps around the docks as a child. Other than that, it's up to what he tells you-- and he doesn't tell you much! According to him, Eagen Murchadh was married once, to a woman named Harriet. According to him, Eagen Murchadh was also eaten alive by a sea serpent, and wrestled his way out with nothing but his bare hands, so take that with a grain of salt. It is known that he lost his eye to a now-deceased pirate captain, and it is known that he began targeting a specific Wyn-inhabited merchant ship many years ago. Not personal at first, he will say, but he began to find the humor in it when he realized it was her ship every time, and then he made a point of specifically robbing her, or blasting her ship with his cannons, even if there were better targets around. Some accredit him as "The Father of Captain Bloodbeard." He claims she would've risen to piracy had he been there or not.
Other: Due to the nature of having a glass eye, Captain Murchadh is, well, blind on his right side. Because of this, he went full in on the pirate thing and got himself a blue parrot, which he keeps on his right shoulder. That way, if there's something he needs to see, the parrot will react, and he'll know. Plus, she's the only person who can tolerate being around him for 24 hours at a time. Her name is also Harriet.
