Boz The Barn -|- With Wonder (Light ) and (OPEN) Boz was happy to notice her quickly cheering up, his ears straightening with the emotion. He does pause some at how she responds to him, about.. Adventuring and being really out today. He curls his tail a bit hesitant, and follows her instead, following her eyes as best he can, squinting to get a look at what it might be. Ah, a good looking nest, piquing his cold furred interest. He pads closer, before chattering quietly at the tilt of her head. “Well- I’d been thinking maybe.. Less scouting, and perhaps seeing how everyone’s doing?” He suggests, trying to think of a good way to voice his means. “More literally, I suppose, asking them about their day?” Boz adds, for better understanding and context. He flicks his tail to uncurl it from it’s hesitant position he only now noticed, bounding a quiet, cloud-soft landed step, to head for the warm nest.
(Apologies for it's short length ^^ Boz said no today to a long response, lol)

Also, I've been a bit curious about Solomon's character? Story/future stuff? Feathertalon So he’s part of Cotton’s first litter alongside Quinn and Quiver. He was content to stay with Cotton and didn’t want to leave, so he was one of the kits that Cotton chased off herself. Solomon, then Thorn as that was his birth name, ventured down to the barn and stayed for a while. There he watched other mothers with their kits and how they treated their litters. He longed for that with Cotton, that she had allowed him to stay despite being grown and capable of caring for himself. This turned to bitterness and anger as he eventually convinced himself that Cotton had never loved him and that she had been a terrible mother to him Eventually he changed his name to Solomon while still at the barn, and after a while he left and went to live in the woodlands despite longing for the moors, but he refuses to go back so long as he thinks Cotton is still alive He’ll want to join EtherClan but his anger toward Cotton will keep him away Overall, he’s just a bitter little boy with a lot of open potential and plots that could be made for his character arc!

He definitely sounds like a Cotton kit, ironically, his past name seems to fit him pretty well now ^^' oo, open for plot you say? I'm possibly tempted. He seems really interesting!
edit: Also! Forgot to ask, would you like me to write up a starter for Edwina and Puma?

For all his resentment toward Cotton he ended up acting a lot like her and definitely fits his birth name xD
Sure! I’m planning on having replies up later tonight but it may not be until tomorrow - I spent most of the day helping my sister move into her apartment she’s renting for college

Exactly! Pfft. But yeah, I'm happy to offer some characters for him to interact with later, or have some plot points with ^^ Him and Zee would be interesting, Lada would.. probably be a bit scared of him, ngl, Canna might be a good fit! She's a motherly character who can sniff parental neglection (well, in a sense..? Roughly raised child, lol) a mile away.
And oh, I had to do the same thing last year ^^ With dorms though for my sister. Take your time! Moving can be a whole other level of activity, for me anywho, so I can work on the starter

I would love for him to have any and all relations! Him and Zee may already know one another since Solomon did stay with the barn cats for a good little while before he left Him and Canna would be interesting! I can see him either reacting like an attention starved idiot toward a motherly character or reacting harshly, he’s a 50/50 there xD
Luckily she didn’t have a lot but it was still a process to get everything!

Ohh, true! Though, depending on how... inviting Solomon might've been, Zee might not have spoken with him too much. But he's bound to end up in the forest again eventually. And Spackle, I could see approaching him (I have so many parents in this, lol), Spackle could chill with him! Canna I can already very much see giving him love and affection anyway, even with his 50/50 xD And maybe even him and Edwina could meet! She's a bit of a wishy washy, level headed, smart sweetheart, who could get along interestingly with him ^^ Maybe meeting if she's ever on the scout for herbs in the meantime while they (her clan) is on the search for territory?
And that's good! But yeah, always a process, even if it's not all that much

He had just been chased from his home and mother and those bitter feelings had yet to really rear their head. He was probably mopey for a while and then slowly began to grow more and more bitter when he realized that a lot of mothers never chased away their kits. I absolutely need him and Canna to meet at some point now, I feel like that would be a really fun scene! Him and Edwina meeting would be fun too! I’m sure there would be a few run ins between them during the clan’s formations

I don’t think he’d tattle on Quinn right away when she first started sneaking around, but maybe after a few times of her doing that he might have let it slip that she was leaving and whatnot I think Solomon would be a bit distant at first when meeting any of his littermates/siblings, but would quickly yearn for any sort of familial bond and end up being a nicer version of himself

And eee I am very up for Canna and him meeting xD I'm very adoring of the idea tbh! Also also, Puma(Pumaheart?) Is at the mountains, right?

Solomon »
with white rapid & stony pool - asrise
So it was a fight these cats wanted. This wouldn’t be Solomon’s first aggressive run in with others, and it most definitely wouldn’t be his last.
Solomon arched his back, fur bristling, tail lashing back and forth in a warning. He was not a large tom, his features slender and meant for the life of a swift-footed moor hunter, but with his fur bristled he appeared twice his size, an intimidating sight for any cat at the other end of his claws.
He stared down the odd molly, not daring to take his narrowed gaze off of her. He saw no reason to fight, not when there wasn’t a scrap of prey around to even fight over, but if this cat wanted a tussle then Solomon would give her just that. His feelings toward his mother weren’t positive, but he had to admit she at least taught him how to fight well.
Despite his battle ready stance Solomon was acutely aware of the presence of a second cat. If he were to get into a fight with this molly he wouldn’t just be fighting with her, he’d be fighting with whatever companion was at her side. Solomon shifted his gaze slightly, still keeping the molly in his peripheral. Did she have a kit with her? No, she didn’t smell as if she were nursing a litter, but perhaps this kit was older, still allowed to travel alongside their mother. Perhaps this molly was a better mother than some certain moor dwelling huntress. Though this second cat could also have a mate hidden under the rocky outcrop, or perhaps even a littermate. No matter the relation this molly had a companion. It was two against one, and the odds were not in Solomon’s favor.
Back still arched and fur still bristled, Solomon took a tentative step back. ”I know there’s another cat with you,” he admitted slowly, words level yet laced with hostility. The ticked tabby wanted this molly to know he would fight if it came down to it, but he was aware of his disadvantage here. ”I won’t raise my claws at you unless you make the first move.” He could just leave, he knew that, but the last thing he wanted was to turn his back on this hostile cat.
Trust no cat.
It was a mantra his mother had echoed over and over again until he and his littermates could recite the phrase even in their dreams. It was one of the lessons he had kept even after she had disowned him.
Trust no cat.
Solomon knew better than to turn his back on any cat, especially one with unsheathed claws.
Percy »
The ringing of the twoleg bin echoed in Percy’s mind over and over, drumming against his brain like an overeager woodpecker. He groaned as he lay in the snow, no longer worried about the cold. He swiped his front paws over his eyes, shutting them tightly. He felt the groan more than he heard it, his mind echoing with the loud thump.
Maybe using his head to knock down the twoleg bin hadn’t been the best idea.
He lay there in the snow even as the cat he rescued galloped toward him, a laughing, joyful creature full of merriment and mirth. At any other time Percy would have gotten to his paws and celebrated with the other cat, but right now all he could do was lay there, as broken as a bird with an injured wing.
Another groan slipped off his tongue, the ringing in his head calming down enough for him to pitifully roll over onto his back and slowly ease his eyes open. Percy had yet to have the time to imagine what the trapped cat looked like, but he was surprised to see a cream and white coated tomcat staring down at him with wide eyes bright with amazement.
Oh, how he wished he could prance about in celebration with this tom.
Pain slowly easing away from his head, Percy managed to roll back over onto her paws and push himself up into a sitting position. ”Well, if you had your hopes up on seeing a star in the sky, you’ll have to look elsewhere. This star has unfortunately fallen.” Percy remained sitting there. He didn’t plan on moving until the ringing had completely stopped. Hopefully it would completely end soon, he had too much to do today. Smoke was relying on him. Poppy was relying on him. He had to get enough food for them all and return back to the den before it got too late, and with the current season nightfall happened early. Sometimes too early.
Percy felt like today was going to be one of those days where nightfall happened much too early.
Needing a little more time before completely standing, Percy decided to fill the silence. Plus, he was curious about this cat he had just rescued. ”So, mind telling me what all happened? Or I guess I should know your name first. I’m Percy, by the way, but you’re more than welcome to keep calling me Star,” he teased, a snippet of his playful personality beginning to shine through.
[ side note: but i have already decided that percy will eventually see poppy as his daughter and will adopt her, no negotiations ]

Creamsicle »
The healer’s words tugged at Creamsicle’s heart, sympathy for this sick cat swamping her. Blue eyes looked to Cotton in a silent plea. This healer needed to search the moor for herbs. The life of a young cat was at stake. Surely Cotton wouldn’t deny the tom the chance to look for the herb he needed. Even if the ticked tabby was showing a tougher exterior than she had last moon, she still had a heart. Creamsicle knew there was a gentleness about Cotton underneath it all.
But what if there was a chance Cotton denied the tom? What if she chased the healer off, forbidding him to search for the herb he needed? Creamsicle shifted on her paws. She had noticed the stern look Cotton had given her moments before - that was the look that meant they had to talk later. It was a look that Creamsicle was starting to get more and more as of late. She knew she wasn’t progressing like she should, but she was trying, couldn’t Cotton see that? Surely she did. The old molly obviously cared enough to keep Creamsicle around and teach her, but the old molly had changed in demeanor ever so slightly since their first few days together.
Creamsicle drew in a deep breath of the cold air around her. A decision made, she met Cotton’s brief gaze with one steely in determination.
Even if Cotton didn’t agree to help this healer, Creamsicle would. If Cotton planned on talking to her later about her behavior, then she might as well give Cotton something to talk about.
Fortunately it didn’t have to come to that.
Tension released from her shoulders as Cotton agreed to help the healer, even if under a condition. She rose from her position, shaking the snow that had gathered on her fur off. Standing beside Cotton she turned a curious gaze over to the gray tom. She could see the stiffness in his shoulders, how his gait was quick but he held back, not wanting to overtake Cotton right after her rash kindness.
Testing the water she mewed, ”I’m Creamsicle.” Cotton had already said her name aloud so she saw no reason to hide what her name was. ”What’s yours?”
Wila »
Flame’s description of the snow and the moor eased some of her initial worries. Snow gathered in deep clumps here and there around the twolegplace, but Wila had watched from the window as a group of twolegs had gathered together and began pushing back the snow with odd tools and equipment. Clearly they had not been able to rid the land of all the snow, but they had cleared their usual walking paths so that they could continue to travel back and forth on their own patrols. The woods and moor would surely lack twolegs clearing their trails of the snow, meaning the precipitation had fallen thick and remained there, but if Flame had heard from Shadow that the snow wasn’t as bad as it seemed, then Wila believed him.
A newfound determination alighting in her heart, the brown coated molly made toward the fence and leaped up in one fluid motion. She waited there for a moment, giving Flame enough time to join her up on the fence. Once he had arrived, Wila gave a joyful hop, following the fence toward the forest where Flame had mentioned.
She was glad to see Flame today. They had been spending more and more time together, and now if a day went by without seeing the orange tom Wila felt a little disappointed. Obviously he had his own life to tend to and didn’t have to spend time with Wila every single day, but the days they got to spend together were quickly becoming her favorite. Her twolegs didn’t seem to mind her being outside more often. It was Chai who would get his fur ruffled when he smelled Flame on Wila’s pelt. She was getting good at avoiding the tomcat she shared a nest with, and he was starting to leave her alone, but she could feel the tension he gave off. She could tell he wasn’t happy with her hanging around Flame. Wila wanted to roll her eyes at his behavior. Did Chai not realize that the sulkier he became the more she wanted to leave the house and spend time with a tom who actually made Wila happy? Hopefully he’d realize that soon and finally get out of her fur about it all.
Not wanting to spend her time with Flame thinking about Chai, Wila focused back in on this whole situation between Shadow and a forest molly. Her whiskers twitched teasingly. ”So he’s found a mate then, eh?” Wila had yet to meet Shadow, but she knew from Flame that Shadow was an older tom. Regardless on his age, Wila believed that every cat deserved to have somebody to love. ”Should we expect kits once the snow melts?” She was teasing for the most part, but she did have to wonder if anything would come from this pairing - if they were even mates. Flame had yet to confirm Wila’s assumption, but until otherwise was spoken she would go on to believe that this Shadow character had found a molly to settle down with and that he would have kits to tend to come greenleaf. If that really were the case and Shadow had found a mate, Wila knew she had to finally meet the tom and visit any of his future kits.

Milo -- Twoleg Place | With Zinnia - soot With them both on the ground the size difference between them became even more apparent. He himself was not a large cat by any means. Rather, it seemed this new comer was truly just that small. Huh, interesting. What a cat his size was doing out here he wasn’t sure – what he was sure of was that Fran would love him dearly. If he allowed, that was. Zinnia didn’t seem… particularly keen on company, at least, not from strangers. The flatness of his voice told him as much.
Still, he did respond, so that had to be worth something, right? After all, it wasn’t like Milo was holding him here – he could walk away at any time. “The forest,” the tom echoed, green eyes shifting to the trees. To head out there in this cold was certainly something. Then again, he supposed there were cats that lived out there, right? After all, Fran had encountered one some years ago. “What’s out there anyway? Doesn’t seem… hospitable in the cold moons. Seems out of the way – 'specially if you’re from the other side of town.” It was a selfish question – he just wanted to know. Stars, he’d go out there with him just to get his fill if it really came down to it.
Well, he would only if Zinnia would tolerate him doing so. No level of curiosity was worth another’s discomfort.
(it's so tempting to lean into a southern access and write his speech exactly how it would sound)
Kuta -- Base of the Mountains | With Gray Sky - whispering Amber eyes widened a bit at the large tom damn near chocked on his water, and he managed a quick, “Sorry!” as he recovered. Scaring the other hadn't been his intention in the slightest, though this wouldn't be the first time he'd managed to do such a thing. Not many could ever really adjust to his sudden and energy-filled appearances. Despite this, he'd never really taken up changing the way he made his appearance known, his excitable nature always getting the best of him.
As soon as he recovered and echoed his name, Kuta gave a quick little nod, unaware of the confusion being had over it. Instead, he focused on the way his head was tilted, then the way his tail lashed when he introduced himself, the irritation lost on him. Gray Sky - "That's a fitting name," he mewed in reply. Though, before he could ponder on it long a question was being thrown his way, and now it was his turn to tilt his head. "Is it weird? Haven't other cats been happy to see you before?"
The questions were innocent, the first things to come to mind. Though, it did immediately dawn on him that he didn't answer the question. "Honestly I've never met a cat my size, so I was hoping to see you again." It was mostly selfish in intent, though he also wanted to bring up the Clan again. The more cats the better, right? It would just be a little bonus that he'd already taken a one-sided liking to this one. A on-sided liking that he was still quite sure would lead to a glorious friendship. For once, though, he had the insight to leave the topic be, at least for now. "Actually, I don't think I've ever met a cat like you at all - I'm still new to the moors, but you don't seem like you're from around here?" At this point his curiosity was taking the reigns, and any question he would likely get asked, granted that his presence continued to be tolerated.

Honey -- The Forest | With Shadow - runningsky123 With her headbut returned the molly couldn't help the purr that rumbled in her throat. "Well since you're here, I figure they're doing better now, right? If not, you'll have to show me your garden. Gotta make sure I get my Shadow-time, but I know how much your twolegs mean to you - can't have you worried and trekking out here in the cold. That would just be cruel," she mused. She'd come to terms rather quickly with the fact that he had twolegs. Coming from him, honestly the lifestyle intrigued her. Though, that probably because they both respected how the other lived and didn't try to forced a life on the other. Also, she just respected him as a cat, and that certainly contributed.
Hearing that he'd eaten warmed her - Honey couldn't have her friend not taking care of himself. Good. "Not yet - I was about ready to trek to the edge of the forest looking for you." Of course, it hadn't come to that, thankfully, as both of them were in good spirits and health. "C'mon then - I've been waiting to tell you this.
With that, the flame-point molly turned and started up a light pace through the underbrush. She was following her own scent markers, intending to do a round of her territory to ensure all was right with her world. "It started a moon ago, I think. Well, maybe less, but about then," Honey started, taking a pause to draw in the scents around her. When it was found all smelled right, she continued. "Apparently there's been three cats going around and talking to other about... mm, what was it... Oh, right! Something along the lines of a 'Clan'?" The word was foreign on her tongue, tripping her up just a bit as she spoke. "Not really sure what that is - I personally haven't been approached, if this is even actually happening. I think it might be like a group of cats living together? That's just a guess based on whispers I've heard, though. Doesn't that sound odd?" Dew -- The River, Moorland Side | With Tracker - ivypool4life Had the distinct sound of a growling belly reached her ears, her friend surely would've gotten the jump on her. But alas, morning hunger had outed him. Lifting her head away from the river she turned, grinning at the oncoming tom. "Tracker~ It's been a couple days, how've you been?" She'd taken to making wide trips around the moor when hunting, never really settling down in the same spot for more than a few days in a row. Rather than claim an area for herself, she'd revisit the same areas in cycles, ensuring not to get caught in somebody else's land. Save for the barn - the barn was welcome to all who came.
His response, though, had her eyes narrowing just a little and her head tilting in concern. "Yeah, it's chilly but we've seen worse days," Dew meowed. Looking him over, though, she decided there had to be more. "You usually love the mornings - what's wrong? And don't tell me it's just hunger - I know you better than that." The tom was like her in many ways, and she'd taken quite the liking to him. While not the motherly sort, she looked at him more like an older sibling. "C'mon - out with it." She'd get to the bottom of it whether he liked it or not.

Edwina
The Barn-To the Mountains -|- With Pumaheart ( Feathertalon )
Edwina’s dreams had been very lingering lately. Not really those ones you had, woke up from, and kind of forgot not long after. Too busy trying to wake up in the morning, and leave your nest, throat maybe parched, or maybe cold from the recent weather. Not much time to.. Really think of a far away, and wispy dream that doesn’t make sense. But she’s been plagued with them recently-.. Given, maybe?
It was always starting the same, the first couple times. A growl, rising to a peak of a hiss, before it settled, when its eyes landed on her. A soft voice calling a name- not her name? Well- maybe? It was for Edwina.. But the name, she couldn’t ever remember hearing her name. Edwina. She heard something else, but the seal-point could never remember it. But its eyes.
It ended the same though, flashes of the mountains she always sees in the distance, though Edwina’s never actually- ah, been there herself. Not like she is in the dream. The same one every time, maybe small differences. Different feelings. The first was odd recognition. Then it was urging.
Now it was to go. To go towards the mountains.
The thing is, any sane cat would ignore it, maybe thinking they ate something odd- or ate something that also ate something that also- well. Whatever can give you funky, odd dreams. But.. her dreams have always steered her right. The herbs- the names they have, sometimes an odd inkling of what they might help do, and it was all true.
The animal- The Puma’s eyes, so oddly steady, and true like the mountain it was rested at.. And the sound- the sound of water.
Edwina’s paws urged her to go- to.. Find where it- The Puma was. But she.. Was hesitant. Her dreams have always led her right- but this is too much. Too much to bet on. She- well Edwina has cats here to help. Sure the Farmers can help, and it’s not like they’re helpless here.. But theres kits here- and sick cats. Frail. It’s why they’re here, kittypet twoleg’s don’t want them, or too much to care for- or..
It’s a lot to trust her dreams to carry her from home, on a long journey to the mountains. By herself nonetheless. Couldn’t her dreams have- say, maybe suggest someone who might be willing to go with her?
But as she wakes up fully, stretching her front legs, and arching her back, tail curling, and clawing at the cold ground of The Barn.. she can’t help but keep her gaze on the mountains. A hiss and rushing water keeping in her ears.
Edwina stares for days before she finally gets the guts to do it. Her ears flat. If she just- if she just goes, it’ll stop hanging over her mind, and then she can go see the mountains, then return to The Barn. And call herself a mousebrain once she gets back, but she won’t be plagued by this. It won’t hang over her head.
The weather certainly makes terrible timing though. But Edwina knows she can make it if she’s careful. It might take a while though. She’s had some experience being out there. She’s been stuck a few times but.. Even with the more tame weather, it’s dangerous in the cold.
Edwina gives a goodbye with little explanation, insisting she’d be back soon.
Edwina prepares. And.. travels when she thinks it’s viable. Warmer. Her paws still freeze, and the wind makes her want to simply curl up and shiver in the snow just for more warmth. It almost gets worse- and better, as she gets closer to the mountains though.
It took days- of just walking.. Occasional attempts at hunting. Shecarefully crossed the river, to stay near the forest for that reason. But even then she didn’t get a chance to eat much. And Edwina- damnit, she doesn’t know why she’s going- why she’s putting this effort for a cursed dream that her heart keeps on yelling at her-
That it’s true.
It was when she finally made it to the mountains that she felt her legs well, and truly wanting to give up.
Edwina couldn't help the audible gasp that left her, at the sight. Such tall, imposing.. But steadying mountains. It brought her the same feeling the eyes of The Puma did. Blazing.
Edwina shivered, her fur bristling, and looked almost hopeful, when she found frozen water, the sound of trickling under the thick surface.
She followed it.

Stony Pool - At the foot of the mountain with White Rapid and Solomon ( Feathertalon) “I wouldn’t raise my claws in any case, friend.” Stony Pool meowed firmly, planting his paws in the ground and taking a defensive stance behind the ticked tabby. He’d woken up not long after White Rapid, and after hearing her hiss nearby, he’d tried to sneak up on the situation just in case he was needed. White Rapid was quite fierce enough to send most opponents running, but he couldn’t help but worry that she’d bite off more than she could chew someday. White Rapid - At the foot of the mountain with Stony Pool and Solomon. Despite herself, White Rapid couldn’t help but swell with pride at the arrival of her brother. Yeah, what’s your response to that, bird-brain? She smirked at the strange tom as her fur lay down on her back, her position assured. “Now, just turn around and tell me your name.” Stony Pool continued. “I’ve caught a burrow of mice. We can share.” “What!?” White Rapid squawked. “Why should I share my prey with this-” Stony Pool shot her a look. Oh, boy. Looks like another of his ideas is in session. Still, she swallowed her insult, easing herself down onto the rock into a sitting position. “Fine. We can share, but we get more! And then you can go on your merry little way, how about that? I guess you do look hungry or something.”

Zinnia
Twoleg Place -|- With Milo ( Myst ) ---------------------------------------- Zinnia watched as green eyes, like the forest during the warmest seasons, shifted at Zinnia’s response. He followed them towards where he’d gestured moments before, and then looked back to the larger tom- not even large by normal standards from Zinnia’s past experience. Andy is just small. His mother always seemed endeared by it so.. He’s not really too bothered by it. It doesn’t help when it comes to nasty situations though. The fur on his spine bristles a bit, tall ears flickering. Just be polite, is all he reminds himself, when the tom asks a follow up question. Zinnia doesn’t want trouble. He flicks his tail, “Uh. It’s cold now yeah, desolate, hard to find prey- food. But I think it’s nice.” Andy responded, “Ah- freeing.” He adds.“Really beautiful in the warm seasons, still is now, but it’s hard to find it pretty when you’re freezin- when you’re chilly.” Zinnia explains. It is nice, really, he enjoys it, his mother always dreamed of it. She loved her kittypet life, and Andy was an honest enjoyer of it as well.. But his father certainly made it less appealing. Being out there is something special though, the wilderness. Just seeing all that life go on, and go through its cycles. It’s beautiful. Just like what his mom always spoke about. He’s happy he can enjoy it on her behalf. Go by the name she gave Zinnia, not his father. “I- love it though. Something being a kittypet doesn’t have. Not that I like one over the other.” He offers, not wanting to seem biased. Thankfully, he didn’t have to lie with that set of words.

Flame Location: Twolegplace With: Wila ( Feathertalon) Flame laughed slightly at that. “I don’t think it’s like that. He’s definitely fond of her, but I haven’t got that impression when he’s talked about her.”, he said. He followed Wila along the fenceline, glancing down in a garden or two on the way. Some were bare grass, others overflowing with flowers and bushes. Still others had barking dogs that ran up when they walked along, but they were never close to the two of them. Besides, they were more than used to dogs like that. More bark than bite. Flame glanced out at the forest, still covered in snow, though the trees had lost their coating of snow, the wind ruffling leaves now. He would be glad when spring came and things got warm again. Part of him wanted to breach the topics of future mates again with Wila, but he refrained. Too much talk of that and she might get weirded out. Just because she liked spending time with him didn’t mean she returned his feelings. He wasn’t sure if he’d survive that thought being confirmed. It hadn’t been long, but he’d fallen deep in love with Wila, but he didn’t want to scare her off. He’d heard her talk and complain about Chai and his pushiness enough that he wasn’t about to be the same. He wanted to be an escape for her, not another tom chasing after her. Shadow Location: The Forest With: Honey ( Myst) Shadow followed along beside Honey, listening to her tale as they walked. ‘Clans’, eh? He’d never heard the word before, but he supposed it didn’t sound too odd. He knew of cats that didn’t have housefolk in town ganging up and living together to help each other survive. Why wouldn’t cats out here do the same? “Mm, not too odd. There’s group that live in the alleys, stick together to help hunt and fight off rivals.”, Shadow said. “Not sure how I feel about that though.” He supposed it wouldn’t be horrible. Depended on the cats. He was curious about it though. Maybe he’d have to try and find one of these three cats talking about it so he could ask questions. At least so he could learn more about it.

WonderLocation: Barn With: Boz and (OPEN) ( soot ) Wonder’s ears perked as he continued to explain, her whiskers twitching. She was curious and a little nervous as to why he seemed so hesitant. When he finally came out with it, she lowered her head thoughtfully, her green eyes growing distant as Boz hopped onward to the nest. She was always happy to keep an eye on the cats of the barn, to marvel at their successes and to sympathize with their struggles. There had been countless times she had imagined walking up to any one of them and striking a conversation~ but there were just too many factors at play. What would she say? What if she came off as annoying? When was the best time to approach? What if she froze up, or said something mousebrained? By the end of most days, Wonder had chickened out; and after a while, watching from the sidelines had become a habit. But… with Boz, maybe it would be different. She already felt like she was a different cat around him. Being around him got her doing things she never would have even dreamed of before. If they were together, talking to another cat wouldn’t seem nearly as scary. Wonder took a deep breath. “Sure,” Wonder lifted her head and meowed lightly out of the blue~ as it had been a while since Boz had finished explaining. Her eyes sparkled with a mixture of anxiety and excitement. Currently the excitement outweighed the former. There was a hop to her step as she came up to the nest Boz must have surely arrived at by now. And yet she said no more on her decision, leaving it at a simple one word answer. (No worries, haha. Sometimes that’s how it is.) (I’m thinking maybe they drift off, then the barn door bangs again, waking them up. Then Wolf falling down a bale catches their attention. XD Or something along those lines.) — FrazzleLocation: Alleyway near edge of Twolegplace With: Percy ( Feathertalon ) Frazzle paused in his looking around to peer a little closer at the grounded tom as he rolled about, kinda sluggish-like. Was he okay? Did he need any help? Before Frazzle could offer, the tom at last made it to a seated position. The other orange and white tom didn’t look all THAT old, so why did he seem to be moving like he was some ancient decrepit cat? Had the cold made him stiff? Not only that but the tom went on to say some mysterious mumbo jumbo. Frazzle’s face scrunched in thought and he kneaded his paws in the shallow patch of alleysnow in which he stood. He looked up at the grey-blue sky above, and back down at the cat sitting in the snow. “Sooo….” he tilted his head to the side as his brain raced to find some plausible interpretation to the cat’s mysterious words. To his relief, the cat went on after a short while. “Percy. Star- oh. Oh! Ohhhhhhh! You were the star! And it was you who had fallen. Ha! Haha! Aw yeah, that’s great!” Frazzle had come even closer in his excitement, and was practically meowing away right into his saviour’s face. However, he paused upon noticing what he had just said. “I mean, not that it’s great that you fell, but… Wait- about that, how did you end up falling? Did you like- come flying from the sky all like ~insert dramatic sound effects~ ‘I’m gonna save you!!!’ and smash into the twoleg stash over there? How would a star even know I was in there?” The young tom seemed to have begun another tangent, plowing on from one question to the next with his eyes alight and his entire body seeming to emphasize each word. He left little to no room for reply between each question. But his rapid-fire words all suddenly came to a stop with a loud gasp. “Oh riiiight! Introductions!” Frazzle hopped back a couple steps onto the alley path and spun a couple tight circles, pulling his best suave act as he finished the last circle. His fluffy, grimy tail rose elegantly and he bowed his greasy head low. When he spoke, it was with a deeper tone, smooth and silky. “Ah-hem! I offer my humble greetings dear Percy the star. I am deeply indebted to you, since you have saved me from a life of eternity trapped in piles of discarded twoleg things. You may call me Frazzle.” The young tom arose from his bow, looking over in the direction of the tipped bin. “Are you absolutely certain you wish to hear the story?” He returned his gaze to Percy, his expression ghostly and his eyes wide and glimmering. “It’s a frightening story full of terror and woe…! There are great foes and many a close call.”
