Hi!
You can call me Haven or Ven.
I accept any pronouns, but she/they are usually what people use for me.
I'm old to rp and the fandom. Warrior Cats was one of the first rp's I ever tried back when I was 13/14. That was 17ish years ago and I've been roleplaying ever since.
Most of my roleplay have been fantasy/humanoid based and largely one-on-ones for about the last decade. I have a good bit of social phobia and at some point forum roleplays stopped being a thing I could do without a lot of anxiety. I'd like to try group roleplays again to get out of my shell a bit more, and Warrior Cats was always a fandom I thought I grew out of but was always interested in returning to. I mostly stopped because none of my roleplay partners were interested and it's a lot harder to do large scale roleplays involving clans from the jump without someone getting a little overwhelmed.
I used to be the type of person who would run 10 characters at once, but eventually that bit me in the butt and my writing suffered trying to juggle so much.
Let's see...
I like to worldbuild and characterbuild quite a lot. Although I haven't been able to play in a bit, I DM for ttrpg's regularly. D&D, COC, Pathfinder, a few homebrew systems, etc. I like trying out new things and I like playing with mechanics to make interesting stories.
I have three cats (Dont tell my landlord), a 3 year old tortie/tabby (idk she's got the tortie colors but also stripes) named Babadook, a 3 month old black cat named Binx, and a 3 month old mini maine coon looking girlie named Gizmo.
Now... a moment to tell you about my beloved children.
Babadook is a bit of a wild card. As a kitten my coworkers called her the crack cat because she was insane and brave as heck. Bab's has always had an independent streak but she loves to play. She especially enjoys fetch. Unfortunately there was an incident with a former roommate that I think messed with her confidence, because she went from being a very social kitty to a cat very fearful of strangers. She's still playful and will sometimes find either a toy or a piece of trash to bring to me to throw. When I picked Babadook out of her litter, I did it because she started wrestling with her siblings one by one until they were all wrestling... and then she jumped out of the chair and watched them from above. Gotta love a bringer of chaos. If ever there was a cat that was my familiar it's probably her.
Then there are the new kitties. They came from the same place but two different litters of farm cats. I didn't know what I was getting going in, but the person who was giving me them told me there was one she knew I would want and I, personally, had been feeling a strong sense about getting a black cat.
Low and behold, one of the litters were black cats. They were all entirely identical but the moment Binx was placed in my arms I knew I wanted to bring him home. It wasn't until later that the guy told me that he was a troublemaker, which suited me just fine. I figured his energy matched Babadook's and they could be playmates, which would hopefully help boost Bab's confidence. I came to find out that Binx is such a lover. He gets jealous if I talk to anyone else before him when I wake up and comes running. At night he'll follow me to and from bed and will fall asleep on my feet if I have to go to the bathroom. He is still really playful and reminds me a lot of Babadook in that way. And yes, he is a troublemaker.
Finally there is Gizmo. Gizmo is the kitten that I was told I would want. Where Binx was raised in the house, Gizmo was raised in the barn. She looked like none of her siblings who were either orange or tabby cats and she was so, so very small. Binx is the same age and her is currently double her size at the very least. You could tell right away she was kind of a sick runt and it was hard to say no. Even though I had only wanted one cat, I couldn't pass her down and took her as well. She needed a bit of extra TLC and for the first week or so suffered from what I call Little Sister syndrome.
I would have to take her to and from the litterbox because she commonly got lost and would start crying. And by lost I mean she would go from the living room to the dining room, sit down, and cry until someone got her. For a while it was me, but then Binx would start escorting her, which was really cute. Eventually I would take her to the litterbox and tell her she had to sink or swim on finding her way back. It took a bit, but she got it.
Everyone who has met her asks if she's a maine coon, she just has that build and fur type I suppose, but she's way too small. Gizzy is the first fluffy cat I've ever had and she's so gentle. Every movement is careful and soft... until food is involved. When food is involved all bets are off. I name all of my cats after some kind of monster, ghost, mythical creatures, etc. Gizmo is obviously named after the Mogwai from Gremlins, because her ears are huge. Although I didn't know it at the time, she fits the gremlin portion of that namesake just as well as the mogwai. Of course she's also the one who gets all of the nicknames. Gizzy, Gizzard, Grimbo, Gizmodo Dragon, Gruffio, pretty much anything that pops into my head.
Babadook is still getting used to them. She wants to play, but only if they don't look at her. The moment there is eye contact she hisses and runs, but if they don't look at her she'll lay next to them, follow them, share food, etc.
Sorry for all that, I think I'm becoming a crazy cat lady between the agoraphobia and kittens.
Feel free to ask me any questions. I'll hopefully be able to answer, and I hope I can enjoy some good rp here!
