What do you all think is in store for the future of ShadowClan?
They've had a bad track record since...well, Into the Wild and beyond. With Raggedstar, Brokenstar, Nightstar and the Sickness, Tigerstar and TigerClan, they had a bit of a reprieve under Blackstar but they did have to deal with Sol for a bit and that majorly shook things up, but Blackstar came to his senses soon, and now it's almost complete anarchy under Rowanstar who seems to not be able to keep his Clan under control, though I'm not sure how much of that is his fault entirely.
But we have apprentices who are rude and break the code all the time and honestly don't even deserve to ever be warriors at this point, we have warriors themselves who are allowing the apprentices to run wild by either enabling them with their own words and bias or just not being able to control them even if they try. Now that Darktail's rogues have taken over and most of ShadowClan has sided with them....
Do ShadowClan even deserve to still be a Clan after all this has happened? They're struck with disaster in their own ranks so often that there's always something going on inner-clan that makes them dysfunctional and unable to work correctly. If most of the cats let Darktail take over and agreed with the rogues...is it even worth trying to save them or bring them back into the fold of the clans?
What happens when the next thing comes along? Will they fracture again?
Either way, the future of ShadowClan looks grim.

I haven't read the book nor do I intend to any time soon, but from I getting from what everyone is saying, ShadowClan is out of control. And from it, I have a couple of questions to ask. Are ShadowClan warrior/queens/parents too incompetent to have kits? Do they not know how to raise them? Are they kind of like Raggedstar in which they spoil their kits? Also, are the Erins/Harper Collins trying to tell us that none of the parents raise their kits right? Or could it be mob mentality taking control?
As for ShadowClan not being a Clan, that's something I'll get into a little later. Anyway, ShadowClan is like the Syltherin house in Harry Potter, where it's like every student there is needlessly evil. In their beginnings, they were a respected Clan with tons of control. Tall Shadow/Shadowstar seemed like a good leader. Even in Yellowfnag's Secret they seemed like a good Clan. True, I think things started to go downhill with Raggedstar, but up until that point, they seemed like a well organized Clan. They had, to our knowledge at least, good leaders and seemed to stick to the code well. During Blackstar's time as leader, there were a few bumps i the road for them, but over all they seemed to be a good Clan. And even when Rowanstar stepped up, he didn't seem too bad. Perhaps he was a little territorial but other than that I thought he'd be a fairly good leader of ShadowClan.
As for if they deserve to be a Clan I'm torn on this. On the one hand, I say yes, they do. Not only were they one of the original five, but they were also founded by a leader who seemed like a good one. I mean, Tall Shadow/Shadowstar seemed to have everything under control and she seemed like an honest and fair leader. If she were in ShadowClan then, I can see her being appalled on how it has become and disciplining the cats thoroughly, making sure they never do something like that again. One the other hand, however, after everything's that happened with them, from attracting evil to the current anarchy, it does make me wonder why they are still there. You'd think that they'd be exiled much like SkyClan was as a way to protect the other Clans.
At this point, it'll take the cold, hard reality to realize what they have done. If they have to be forced to see a few of their Clanmates killed because they no longer want to be with the rouges, then so be it. As someone else mentioned, if they were transported back to Brokenstar's ShadowClan, they wouldn't be acting the way they were.

I don't know what to think of ShadowClan at this point. The future seems bleak, but who knows what will happen. I think the only true way for their problems to go away is to kill Darktail and his followers, even the former ShadowClan cats. They cannot be trusted, and they are the reason for the Clans downfall. If Rowanstar were to let them back in, who knows if they could ever be trusted again. And if they were to breed, they would just pass on their lack of morals to their kits. ShadowClan would be doomed at that point, and it would just be a group of lawless rogues at that point.

They certainly do not deserve Violetpaw. Considering they don't have any ties to StarClan anymore, they should no longer be "special." I hope they get raided a lot or something terrible so karma can kick in.

I am not that fond of ShadowClan at the moment and I hope they get punished.

Much as it makes the story interesting, I really hope ShadowClan suffers badly for their decision since it seems like it's going to be the only way they'll ever realize their mistake.
