When I say it doesn't make sense to me, I mean, I always find it strange when people just ship medicine cats with other medicine cats in general. Especially ones from different clans. Even if you change the medicine cat rule, about having a mate or not, you'd still be breaking the rule about being unloyal to your clan. So one of the medicine cats would still have to basically give up their position to be with the other. And in this case for example, it would be odd if Alder, or Puddle, gave up their position to be in another clan with the other.
The only way I can even see Alder x Puddle even remotely working out is if they had actual development out side of them just doing their jobs, and if only one of them, or neither were medicine cats. Because at that point it would just be a Alder x Velvet scenario, which isn't as bad. The case of Alder leaving his clan to be with another cat due to the pressure of his duty, and because they already had Jay and Leaf at the time, etc. (Wouldn't have taken anything from the story narratively either since Twig and Violet pretty much stole the spotlight later anyways)
Also I've watched GA's video, but I disagree with her points, a lot of them are flawed in my opinion.
