Shadecreek - returning from crimes
The journey back home was longer than expected and as he had hoped, wore him out decently enough. As unexpectedly exciting as his walk ended up, he was grateful that there was a good distance between him and his new companion, he didn’t have to worry about WillowClan’s scent rubbing off on him. At least, not yet. It was fortunate that he was a water elemental, making it easy to wash away the scent. He would, however, need to plan on how he can explain why he was coming home soaking wet. He can worry about that later, for now he had to return to the utter chaos that was IvyClan. He let out a sigh and pushed his way through the enterance.

When turning away, her gaze landed on her brother, who was making his way into camp. She padded over to him with a "Where did you go when you should still be resting, furball?" Her tone held a playful manner to it.

What’s going to stop her from training Mistsplash’s coming kits early? Maybe she’ll start even earlier than four moons…” he was rambling, he knew, but that didn’t stop him from releasing his frustrations that Thistlestar was destroying the clan.

"Maybe we can bury her under a pile of mud."

Shadecreek - In Camp with Mossyleap - DarkShadecreek purred with laughter, “Thistlestar better watch out then!” He playfully battered at his sister’s head like he used to when they were kits. It felt good to have fun again instead of constantly having to worry about the future Thistlestar was driving them towards.

(If I was even decent at making art-- I am a performance art type of person-- then I would definitely create some for the clans, though ahem I suggest someone should draw Shadecreek and Silverdawn's first meetup hehe) *adds to my drawing list* I'm off Wednesday and Thursday so expect me to ve drawing when I'm not replying, hoping to get at least two of my drawings done, maybe even three since mintpaws is already on the way to be completed) |

Mintpaw-Medicine Cat Den-Frecklecloud, Stoatpaw, Hollyfeather
Mintpaw relaxed at everyone's words and even more so when his littermate joined his side. Pressing as close as he could to Stoatpaw. "I'd like that if we could do either option," he said, looking to Frecklecloud, hoping that the she cat would keep to her word to see about joining to at least make the change easier. He still was upset that he was having to get a new mentor. Part of him hoped that it was just a cruel trick Thistlestar was doing and in the morning tomorrow that it would get changed back.

Mossyleap w/ Shadecreek- Junospower Mossyleap ducked out of the way, just barely missing Shadecreek's outstretched paw. "You'll have to be faster than that to catch me," she teased, whiskers twitching in amusement. Obviously, she didn't expect her brother to chase her around, considering he should be resting, as well as knowing Thistlestar could be watching them. She paused for a moment. "With all the fights Thistlestar has brought to Willowclan, do you think she'll try to completely take them over?" The molly shuddered a little.

Mistsplash left quickly once the meeting ended, heading to the nursery. Each word from Thistlestar just made her more angry. She laid in her nest, glaring at the wall of the den
Greenthorn stood there in shock, claws digging into the ground. He was confused why Thistlestar was pushing the blame on everyone around her. He glanced over at Waspfang, curious as to what he thought.
Heatherseed sighed a bit, tail flicking as she went back to her position. She sat guard, trying to go over in her head what exactly had happened at the meeting, finding it hard to concentrate on one specific thing due to the chaos that had happened.

StarClan wouldn’t stand for it!” he whispered so that Thistlestar’s ever burning ears don’t pick up what the siblings were saying. “Then again, StarClan has allowed her to go at this for this long…”

"Dapplesky is a kind warrior, and I believe she'll make sure you're comfortable. I bet she's as worried about this as you are, Mintpaw," she meowed gently. Mossyleap w/ Shadecreek- JunospowerMossyleap rested her tail tip on her brother's shoulder. "I hope she doesn't, either. It would prove how much of a fox-heart she really is," she hissed under her breath.

"Yeah, she'll be a good mentor. She's not gonna be mean, I promise. And she's just as surprised as the rest of us," she meowed. "She looked a bit frightened, actually."
Weaselflare - Camp - Open
Weaselflare snorted in disbelief when Thistlestar reassigned Mintpaw and Pebblepaw. Especially the latter almost made her speak out against the leader again who only cared about the warrior code when it came to the clan's respect and loyalty to her but ignored it completely when it actually mattered. Not wanting to anger Thistlestar further though she kept quiet. When the meeting was finally over Weaselflare made her way over to the camp's entrance but then stopped. She could hunt a bit for the clan but she felt like she wouldn't get much done right now, too angry to properly focus on stalking prey. But she didn't want to sit around doing nothing either.
Brightmist - Camp - with Dapplesky (bluewonder )He sighed and glanced over at Dapplesky, Mintpaw's new mentor. She looked shocked and Brightmist couldn't blame her. He slowly walked over to her and sat down a tail-length away from his fellow warrior. "Are you alright?" he meowed gently. "That was quite unexpected." Wolfpaw - Camp - OpenWolfpaw padded away from the speaking stone and after walking for a bit found somewhere to sit down and think about what just had happened. He felt sorry for Pebblepaw, Mintpaw and their mentors but as much as he wanted to, he couldn't focus on Thistlestar's unjust decision concerning them. No, his thoughts kept going back to what she had said about StarClan not disagreeing with her making four moon old kits apprentices. If she was right, why did they allow this? And why had they chosen Tinypaw as a medicine cat apprentice despite being too young? He couldn't think of any good reason and that worried him. Was Thistlestar actually doing the right thing or did StarClan just not have their best interest at heart? Wolfpaw let out a soft mewl of dismay at that thought. They had always guided the tow clans so how could he even consider such a thing? Darkwhisper - Camp - with Sootpaw (Sand )Darkwhisper sadly shook his head at Thistlestar's announcement. Mintpaw and Pebblepaw wouldn't be happy about that and neither would be Frecklecloud and Shadecreek. He had no doubt their leader was only doing this to punish the two warriors for speaking out against her in public, which only made him feel even more bad for the two apprentices. They got along well with their mentors and none of these four cats should have to be punished because of Thistlestar's pride. And even if her given reasons were true, he doubted that the new mentors were the best options. Or at least Dapplesky. She was a good warrior, no denying that, but she wasn't too fond of battle. Frecklecloud had been the better option for Mintpaw. So yes, it was too obvious that Thistlestar was only doing this because she didn't want anyone who spoke out against her to train the future warriors. Remembering that Thistlestar had also said that all mentors should now daily review battle moves with their apprentices Darkwhisper got up to his paws and briefly looked around until he spotted Sootpaw. He padded over to his apprentice and meowed a greeting. "Ready to work on your battle moves?" he asked her. (I'm having him go to his apprentice but don't worry about replies, Sand, we're not in any hurry. Enjoying your vacation comes first!)

Brambletalon - In Camp About to do a Possible Stupid Himself; bluewonder Brambletalon's eyes grew wide as Thistlestar went on to change the mentors of the early apprenticed kits. His heart sank as well when she finished off by saying she already had plans to attack Willowclan once again. A clan that they were supposed to be allies with. He knew just because clans were allies though that they didn't necessarily have to get along, but why bother the peace that's there if it doesn't need to be bothered. What was the sense in taking territory they don't even need. As far as he could tell, the clan was well fed and aside from the last battle, their relationship with Willowclan at least didn't seem to be that bad. As his thoughts ended and he came back to reality he glanced down at his Doe totem which he held in his front right paw. Empathy and gentleness... He glanced back up to where Thistlestar was as the other cats began to leave from the meeting while his totem dropped back down to dangle from his neck. I hate fate so much right now. "Starclan protect me..." He whispered under his breath and then glanced to his son Swiftclaw. "Take your sister and go play or something. Keep her occupied and try to take her mind off things." His gaze once again glanced back up to the clan leader. "I'm gonna go try and speak with Thistlestar." Kit, next to the cats she called out, you are probably the last cat she'd care to speak with!Swiftclaw - In Camp w/Icepaw - OPEN"Are you mad?!" Swiftclaw snapped back into reality as soon as the words dripped from his father's lips. Before he could say anything else though, Brambletalon looked back at him with a stern look in his eyes showing how serious he was. Swiftclaw swallowed whatever spit he had in his mouth almost choking and nodded before padding over to his sister's side. "How about we go over to the river. The water always helps you to relax, hmm?" He tried to give his best smile hiding the concern and worry his father just bestowed upon him. Icepaw - In Camp w/Swiftclaw - OPENIcepaw glanced up at her father and then to Swiftclaw as he came to her side wrapping his tail around her. What is he doing? Speaking to her after... After that? I trust him, but what if he makes things worse for us? For you? For me? What if he says just one wrong word to Thistlestar and she takes all her current frustration out on him? "Do you have to?" She meowed standing up glancing back at her father with worry. Brambletalon simply responded, "I have to. Even if things don't get better, I need to know I at least tried." After that he padded off towards Thistlestar. Icepaw watched in worry as her father padded off, but broke her concentration as her brother rubbed his tail across her back and simply said, "Follow me. He'll be fine, I promise." |

 Lizardeye couldn't hide her dismay at her mate's agreement. The clan was headed for dark times, unlike most any thing she had seen before. She felt so helpless- advice was almost all she and Oatstream had to offer, and what good was the advice of elders if no cat cared to heed them? She sighed. "I think I'm going to go out on a walk. I need to... be out of camp for a little while. Maybe I'll visit the flower fields. Would you care to join me, Oatstream?"
 Patchpaw soaked in his mother's touch. Though he often felt a tad bit grown for public affection from his mom, these were difficult and confusing times, and it was comforting to have the familiarity of family. He turned to Mintpaw, who was so obviously distressed. "Nothing is your fault. You and Stoatpaw were braver than Pebblepaw and I combined out there! Thistlestar is just..." He trailed off, not sure what to say that would comfort the kit but wouldn't be a lie. "Anyway. Maybe we can all go out and do group training! Me and you and Dapplesky and Frecklecloud and Shadecreek! Thistlestar couldn't be mad at us all training at the same time, it's what she wants!"
 "Well this has certainly shaped up to be an interesting day, hasn't it?" Waspfang mewed, his voice curling in amusement. He flicked his tail before turning to face his former apprentice Greenthorn, who he was speaking with. "We held our own, despite what Thistlestar says. I was proud to have battled with you today." Waspfang was in a particularly complimentary mood, perhaps because of how critical his sister had been. The younger warrior had always been a favorite of his- and Waspfang was proud that a bit of his fighting skills had rubbed off on him through all those moons of training. "Pity about your sister though. She should know better than to try to speak out against Thistlestar."
(maybe it's not because you mentored him Waspfang maybe because its your literal child lol)  "Ensure the ex-mentors who left early understand the new arrangements." Thistlestar growled to Shatterfrost, jumping off the Speaking Stone. Her eyes caught Brambletalon's, who appeared to be looking at her expectantly, and she narrowed her eyes, her paranoia once more assuming that he wanted nothing but to antagonize her as well. She had known Brambletalon since he was kitted while she was deputy. If it had been up to her then, she would have cast him out for not appearing to have been born with any powers, as an obvious rejection from Starclan. But the warrior had gotten his powers in time, and she had no immediate complaints with his skills nor his personality, as he wasn't one who had ever spoken out against her publicly. She couldn't help but feel like that might be about to change, though.

"Ah, of course, I'm never one to dismiss a nice walk with my beloved mate," he purred affectionately. "Maybe it could get our minds off of things." Shatterfrost w/ Thistlestar- bluewonderShatterfrost gave the leader a small nod and flicked his tail as he turned away, obeying Thistlestar's orders. He scanned the camp, noting the cats who were conversing with each other. He was somewhat satisfied with what he saw, but continued on.

Mintpaw's eyes light up at Patchpaw's suggestion. "I'd love that," the young kit exclaimed, springing back to his paws only to collapse once more as pain shot up his leg. "Hopefully I heal fast, I want to get better so I can make everyone proud!" Everyone being Thiatlestar, still for some reason no matter how much she did to him the young kit still wanted to impress the tyrant they called a leader, his mother and Frecklecloud.

The walk almost felt like a mile and once he stopped he almost choked over how he wanted to even start the conversation. "If I may... I was hoping to maybe just speak with you for a moment?" His voice stayed as calm as it could as he shut down his feelings for everything that had just happened. His eyes kept contact with the leader's and he could tell that she was more than likely expecting him to just start spitting out his own complaints like everyone else. "Look, I don't want to tear you a new tail like everyone else just did, but I do have a question on my mind." Brambletalon swallowed whatever saliva was in his mouth before he spoke his next sentence. He knew Thistlestar would probably take it as some kind of insult, but stood his ground and asked anyways. "Have you been doing alright these last few moons? And I'm not talking about stuff like the defiance from the meeting we just had or even our recent fight with Willowclan. I mean you personally? Because I know that what's going on has been a lot to deal with and that stress... Thats a lot." After he finished speaking Brambletalon did his best to brace himself for whatever Thistlestar had in response. |

She scoffed and pushed a small amount of dirt gently into the air with a claw. "Listen to yourself, Brambletalon. Do you really think me such a fragile molly that you think this small dispute ruffled my fur?" She sat back on her haunches, her eyes glittering. She was more amused by his concern than upset, however. She knew he hadn't asked specifically about the dispute, but she didn't see why else he would choose now to ask.

Waspfang shrugged, feeling very nonchalant about the whole ordeal. "Who knows why Thistlestar does what she does. She could barely be told what to do when we were young. Father was constantly having to punish her for acting out, and when I needed to, I did as well. But now.... she can't really be tamed quite as easily as she could when she was younger." He looked to Greenthorn. "I believe she thinks that Starclan will give her special approval, and while I see the advantage of having the kits train early, I don't know if our ancestors agree as much as she thinks they do." He chuckled darkly. "I suppose we will see one day. Right now, her reign is powerful and successful. So it certainly appears that Starclan is on her side."
