Sorry for being away for so long.)
The door to Master Shalba's office opened to show the master himself. He then walked over to his chair and sat down, a troubled, stern look etched on his face. "We'll wait for Roxy to get here before I explain. I'm grateful that you all are understanding about this and don't seem to mind."

Su frowned, since she didn't really know what might happen with the confrontation between her and her sister. Still, it was something she had to do and it wasn't like she could avoid Roxy all the time. She gently knocked a pale fist on Roxy's door and she could hear her older sister groan as if she were waking from a nap. "Roxy?" Susanna asked in a small quite voice. "The master wants to see you..."
As Roxy opened the door, she knew that Susanna was going to be on the other side; probably ready to cry in front of her again. She remembered when she use to be like that. When she use to be weak and fragile... But due to her parents being dead and her own older sister leaving her and her other siblings, she had to toughen up for her family. She figured this would be the best way for Susanna to do the same without ditching her. When her purple gaze met her younger sister's, Roxy glared, almost sticking her nose up at her. In a way, she felt sad for her sister and frustrated, very frustrated. "Thank you." She said in a characterless tone before she shut the door behind her and moved around Susanna. "I hope you've been practicing against other mages. Now where does the Master want to meet at?"
"I have... He wants you to go to his office."
"Good." And with that, Roxy left Susanna and headed for Shalba's office. After a minute, she walked through the door and glanced around the room to see that the other S-class mages were here too. "It seems you've caught me at a bad time Master." Roxy smiled with kindness to Shalba.

Skylar moved into the office, crossing her arms. "This isn't like you, master." She wanted to say that now, with all of them there. At least now that they were alone. "Why call the four of us up here? What's so important that you can only tell us?" She was getting straight to the point. The the worry was obvious in her voice and the look on her face. She glanced back at the others. "It's not often that we're all around the guild at the same time, so it must be bigger than just the financial future of the guild." No. He could discuss that with her alone, or some of the other mages in the guild. Just the S-Class? Not normal at all.

Mako leaned against one of the chairs and placed his hands on his thighs. "Is there a job you need us to do?"? He asked wondering if that was it. Though why pull them just to give them a mission?

Shalba sighed. "It seems no time is a good time for you, Roxy. As for Nate, I hope you know that I'm still young enough to read you're thoughts. I'm not sending you out on a job just yet." He then casted his dull golden eyes at Skylar, studying her look of worry and wondered how she could get so work up over things that she didn't know the answer to. She should know by now that patience is the key to everything in life, well almost everything. "If you'd give me a moment to explain.... I have been informed of some evidence found by Paradise Birds. Clues were left behind by a dark guild that moved from their territory a week ago. They didn't attack them or anyone living in the jungle, but no one knows where they've gone to. The Magic Council has been notified of the dark guild's presence, but will likely do nothing about it. So I want all four of you to keep a look out around Serafall and do not, I repeat, do not tell anyone else in the guild or the people in Serafall. Most of our mages would either be too frightened to go out and work, or want to find this dark guild that we know nothing about."

Skylar listened carefully, her frown growing as he spoke. "A dark guild that no one knows anything about? That's unusual. Even the lowliest of dark guilds are known, and so are the most powerful." She shook her head, sighing softly. "We could all take jobs in that area and then work together to find out what we can. And once we find them, we could all attack them and take them out." She wasn't okay with a dark guild being in existence that no one knew anything about. She doubted Shalba would actually approve of them going to take out this guild, but she was bringing it up. They were still S-Class mages. They could handle it.

"Consider it done." Mako said giving a thumbs up. He would make sure to keep a eye out for any suspicious activity going on. Glancing over at Nate, he wondered if the dragon slayer would be able to keep his mouth shut about everything.

Roxy was on the same page as Mako, thinking the same thing about Nate. "I don't mind keeping an eye out, after all, they might be close to Serafall..... though that is kind of doubtful."
"They did leave behind some paperwork, but nothing of themselves or what they're after. They also left behind a god portion of the trees in that area to be dead, which would also explain why they moved out so quickly. No one in Paradise Bird has seen them other than their last hide out. I will not allow you four brats to go out that far, but you all can patrol the port city and the outskirts of the port. Is that okay with you two, Nate and Skylar?" Shalba crossed his arms over his bare chest.

Skylar sighed softly. Yeah, she figured as much. "We'll keep an eye out for anything suspicious." She glanced around at the others. "Keep an eye on new mages in the area. If you can see their guild mark, check if it's one you recognize. If not, it's worth reporting. Though don't jump to conclusions, you might just not recognize one we already know about. I would ignore those without marks. There are so many of those, we'll never keep track of them all." She rubbed the back of her head. "If there's one thing we know, even the most mysterious and powerful of the dark guilds have a guild mark. So we'll hopefully get somewhere with that." She looked at Nate, giving him a look to let her know if she did actually go there. She wanted to go with him.

"Nate, as you're Master and as a dear friend, I advise you not to do that. It's not that I don't have faith in you or any of you, but we don't know who these people are and better to be back up by a whole guild then to go out by yourself." Shalba's tone was serious, way too serious. He was trying to get his message through to Nate that these mysterious mages were not to be taken lightly.

Roxy rolled her eyes at Skylar's input. It wasn't like they didn't already know how to spot out any unfamiliar mages. Why did she have to 'tell' them what to do when Master Shalba was there and perfectly capable of doing so himself? Some people just really ticked her off at times... especially when she was tired. "If you don't mind, Master, I need to go."
Master Shalba gave Roxy a curious look with his eyes as he heard her thoughts about Skylar. I guess they'll sort it out on their own....
Roxy then teleported to the port city, Serafall and scanned her eyes though the local crowd. Nothing seemed out of place.

"Skylar is right, so if you see a guild emblem that's unfamiliar. Inform me about it." Shalba nodded to his mages.

Skylar watched Roxy go, shaking her head. So much for going on a mission together. She glanced at Nate, then looked at the master. "He does have a point. Sitting around waiting for something to happen will only make it worse when something does happen. At least allow Nate and I to go see this old hideout. We won't go anywhere else, we won't track them, we'll just see where they've been. If we can't find anything, then there was no harm done. We'll return and proceed with the original plan of patrolling the area." She was trying to compromise.

"And what happens if they happen to kill you, Nate? What happens if they come after the guild after taking out our top mages? Do not except me to bare that! The whole idea of you and the other three mages going out and looking through the city for them is so they don't cause any trouble. This guild is calculated, they wont launch an attack until they are sure of it." Master Shalba's voice began to raise in volume as an agitated, rock-hard look took over his once calm face.

Guys, your characters can break Shalba's order and secretly check out the old hideout.)

Well Shalba can put his foot down now and they agree to go while they're out patrolling. Like Nate can find Skylar and they agree to leave.))

"I SAID NO!!! NO MEANS NO! GRRRRAAAAA!" Shalba's roar could be heard clearly though out the guild hall and even at the Inn. His eyes started to glow now with aggravation as a bright aura outlined his body. For a moment, only for a moment, he wanted to beat the living crap out of Nate for pestering him about this. A second later, the master regained his cool and toned down the bright fury that engulfed his body. "Why can't you kids just be like Mako and Roxy and listen to me?" He sighed as he placed his hand over his eyes.

Skylar took one step back, but nothing more. 'Maybe because we've been doing this long enough to know better,' she thought. She knew Shalba would probably hear these thoughts, but she didn't want to say it out loud. She then bowed slightly. "Very well master. We'll stick to the patrol around the port. We're sorry for arguing with you." She turned and started to leave, glancing back at Nate and shooting him a look to drop it. They weren't going to get permission for this. Shalba had made up his mind.
(So I had an idea. So maybe since Nate and Skylar promised to help Susanna, she follows them into town, then ends up following them all the way to the hideout? Kit could be with her.)
