(Well thanks, I appreciate it. ^_^)
"Maybe you should go back again and try to have a bit less of a good time then." Kaz laughed softly again, only teasing his fellow mage. He was a good spirit most of the time about it, his comments weren't borne of maliciousness but rather of fondness. "Also see if their music's gotten better." Truth be told he wouldn't mind going to a party like that if he was awake, but that was a pretty rare occurrence. All of the night and most of the morning was spent in a state of slumber that took a dedicated effort to rouse from. He gave Farrell a friendly smile when he picked the design and complimented it. "Thanks, I appreciate it. Been working on a bunch of new ones. As far as getting another one? I dunno. Happy with what I've got, but also like these. Just can't decide." He leaned back on the bench a bit, stretching his arms and showing off his mostly bare torso along with the tattoos on it.

She wasn't and, as frank as ever, made this known, "Well, no. But if you want to get something to eat, I'll come with and we can keep talking." She stood up, tall form looming over the chairs. It was strange, she never noticed how far down she was until she was up again, "I'm not really a big eater."
Farrell's eyes danced down briefly to Kaz's bare torso and he smirked slightly in appreciation, and then met his gaze once more, "Why not get a temporary one and see what you think?" He picked up another and compared the two he now held. He didn't know much about tattoos, but he knew a nice one when he saw one, as most people could boast. "Worst comes to worst, you'll have to get a shower and wash it off." He teased, knowing that Kaz was fairly stationary, and little things could become a much larger deal. "Would you be getting it in green?" He asked, setting down the first one and picking up a third, trying to imagine them in colour.

"Huh, that's not a bad idea. Might go ahead and try it out, see if I like having any more of if I'm set with what I'm got." Kaz actually hadn't considered the idea of a temporary tattoo before, probably a combination of him being so serious about the art and that mocking up a design only to have to wash it out and having to do the whole thing again would be rather effortful for him. A good natured smirk crossed his face when Farrell teased him about showering. "Hey, sleeping and bathing are the things I do regularly I'll have you know." He wasn't by any means offended about the comments, he found them pretty funny himself. "Like you and shopping or trying out a new bar. There are certain things I don't miss out on, even with my life goal of becoming a sloth." His eyes darted up to meet Farrell's again. "Yeah. It'd look weird to have all my other ones in green and have this one blue or something."

"Don't you ever get bored of green?" He asked, resting his face on his hand, elbow on the table. "Like, no offense baby, you suit it. But, that's a lot of green." Maybe it was a personal thing, because he loved purple so much, and purple and green did not go together. "What makes you so nuts on it?" He ran his over hand through the fluffy hair along the top of his head, pushing his weight to his left foot so the chair balanced on one leg, leaning towards Kaz. He knew what made him like purple and black - they were elegant, and sophisticated, and they made him feel sexy. He just didn't get that with green, of all colours.
Dorian followed, like a tall shadow wearing a big hat. She moved pretty quietly, maybe she should get a bell or something, she had the unintentional habit of scaring people by just appearing behind them. A bell might be a bit much, compared with the cloak. She was never one for a fashion radar.

"None taken, it is a lotta green I know. Probably not your style." Kaz's smile went from a teasing one to a more genuine one, an introspective look that spoke of a person remembering fond memories of years past. "But I like it. I think it's a pretty color." He looked down at the drawings before him, eyes becoming unfocused as he stared past them. "You probably knew I grew up in a desert tribe, basically a buncha idiots wandering around in the least hospitable place in the country. Don't get me wrong, just kidding there, I love my family." Though his teasing could sometimes go way too far, he didn't usually try to speak bad of people. "Green was just... really important to us. There could be times where things got rough, had no idea where water was gonna come from, all of a sudden see a cactus and know we'd be fine. Me being born with green hair and eyes was like a good luck charm to my parents, figured I'd carry on the tradition ya know?" He laughed, coming back to reality as he shook his head. "Ah, man, hate it when I get all nostalgic. Shouldn't be, nothing all that great about gettin' sand everywhere."

"Awwwww, you're a family man, huh?" He laughed, smiling at the image of a tiny Kaz trudging about the desert, green hair like a tiny wandering cactus. "Look at you, getting all soppy, and maudlin." He'd lived in cities for his whole life, a traveler too, but one of metropolitan forests and rivers. His father still lived here in this city, but they weren't as close as they used to be. For generations, the Alates had been a family of hard, serious men, and Farrell didn't fit that box, he never had, and the older he got, the more apparent it became. It stung, to be somewhat of a disappointment, and knowing it, but never hearing it out loud, especially when you considered that it was only the two of them. Hearing about Kaz's family had made him think of his own, and he quickly pressed on, "Was it tough, desert living?"

"I thought you were broke," She teased lightly "But no, I'm fine." In truth, maybe she would've eaten something, but she wasn't a fan of eating in front of others, undoing her cloak made her unnecessarily anxious, even around people she knew well. "You should try and save your jewels, unless another great job comes wandering in."

The image Farrell had was all too accurate, especially with Kaz's tendency to meander about at times, following whatever interested him. That habit had long since been replaced by laziness. "I guess you could say I'm a family man, but I'm not quite that sappy. Just got talking and didn't stop. I ain't planning on throwing a pity party anytime soon." It was with a genial and amicable tone that Kaz said that, willing to make fun of himself for a bit. He dished it out enough that he could take it. "Probably harder than going to the markets around here to grab some bread, yeah. Sometimes we'd stay in the same place for a bit, but most of the time I was busy helpin' my parents pack our 'house' up and we'd be on the move, lookin' for water and food. It's why I look the way I do." While he was being facetious, it probably did have something to do with his pretty well-defined build. Gone were his thoughts about tattoos now, replaced with memories of hot, sandy winds and freezing nights, days at a time spent wandering through the bleakest environment most could come up with. He missed it sometimes, but going back for a few weeks cured him of that illness. "How about you Farrell? I mean, you've gotta have a family past your wardrobe, yeah?"

She turned and leaned with her back against the bar, crossing her legs at the ankles, "I hope so. As much as it's good to be home, I'm getting antsy." She turned her gaze to the board and saw one that made her laugh a little, "'Help the mistress find love', that's one I've heard heard before."
He too had vivid memories of packing up often and being on the move again, leaving on a train in the dead of night, going wherever there was work, only owning as much as you could carry: honestly, he hadn't been a fan. Maybe that's why he owned so many clothes now, he supposed, to make up for the lack of them earlier on. He considered shrugging the question off with a flippant remark, but decided Kaz was nice enough, no need to be rude, or lie, "My father lives on the far side of town, Dante. Used to be a carpenter, but I think he retired a few years ago. I don't know, we don't talk much." Was all he offered. As if the tattoos were suddenly the most interesting thing he'd ever seen, his turned his eyes back to them, leafing through the top ones breezily.

Kaz didn't push the issue further, thankfully not dense to the point of not realizing it was an uncomfortable subject. Instead he too let his gaze fall back on the papers containing a variety of tattoo designs, as if he was contemplating them deeply. "Ah. Yeah, I'm lucky to have good parents, I just don't get to see 'em too often because of the whole 'wandering the desert' deal." He might have been pushing it a bit, but honestly was just trying his best to sympathize. "Hey, you know if you want I'd be happy to give you one of these tattoos free of charge. I'm pretty good at it if you can't tell." He grinned rather broadly, turning to face Farrell to show off the ones on his abs. It was his best attempt at changing the subject to something that was easier for the both of them. "Probly' a lot cheaper than going to somebody else if you're lookin' for one."

He raised one eyebrow when Kaz showed off his ab, not complaining by any sense, and took his time dragging his gaze back up to the other mage's face, "Hmm, tempting. I do love a bargain." He was glad of the easy segway into a new conversation and was grateful to have been supplied with one. "Maybe. I don't know. Do you think I'd suit one?" He asked. Farrell was aware he was feminine and showy, and if he were to get a tattoo, it'd have to match that, of course. Some of these designs were very nice, now that he was properly looking at them. "How cheap are we talking here?" He couldn't remember much of last night, but he was fairly certain he'd been generous with his jewels, he always was with a few drinks in him.

Kaz was either oblivious to the other mage staring at his abs or didn't care, both were equally likely given his personality. His grin didn't fade as he kept looking at Farrell, glad that he'd managed to steer the conversation back somewhere friendly and casual. "I ain't much of a judge, I can think up stuff that looks good on just about everyone, but for what it's worth yeah. I mean, I can do any design and any color, not just these ones in green." He waved a hand over the papers as if to emphasize his point. "So if you want something done in purple we can do that." He had a variety of stuff back at his place, so he wouldn't even have to get anything new. "As for price..." He struck a mock contemplative look, "Well, how about just consider it a favor for a friend. Plus I like doing it, so it's not like you're bothering me any."

Theos shook his hand, then waved him off. He sipped from his mug. "Good luck." He pushed himself off the bar and started to head back upstairs. No one needed him for anything else, at least as far as he knew, so he had no reason to hang around. He glanced back as he walked, watching the two mages from Sea Lion carefully. He wasn't going to let them see though. Skylar bowed to Theos, before turning and started to head towards the door. "Glad we've got that. We can worry a little less about some of our less patient mages." She smiled up at the fake Shalba, meaning them of course. She didn't like waiting when there was a possible danger like this. She understood why the master would be cautious, but doing nothing wasn't like him. The guild masters knew more than they were letting on.

" Ice Bolt!" Dale screamed as he shot a frozen orb of magic at the dark mage's iron fist, freezing it and completely knocking it off focus. "Don't worry, Mako, I got your back!" The young, tan stud shouted before a smug smirk curled the edge of his lips. "Oh what happened to all that talk I was hearing? By the way, why are you even here and why attack us? Got nothing better to do?" Dale did find it a bit odd to be under attack by another mage in their own city that the Sea Lion guild called home. Maybe the guild name was getting around? They are one of the top ranking guilds, but not number one, at least for the moment.

Hey Scorch, is it okay if once my lone mage joins the guild, that he could try to learn Night magic? He won't be very good at it at all, but he'll try and eventually turn to a different magic.)

Nate waved at the Paradise Bird guild members before walking out, the doors shutting behind him. "Well, that was unusually easy." He whispered to Skylar. "Do you think it is too soon for me to transform back?"
Ryker cursed as he froze his hand, making him miss the punch, but he didn't stop the lances though. The earth wizard should be lucky if he can stand up after that! With a smirk, Ryker turned around. "You can't harm this suit, watch." And with that, he stun around, slamming the frozen hand into the back of Mako's head, shattering the ice, leaving the iron fist unharmed. "Now it's my turn to attack you, good luck blocking all of these." He said and a dark dangerous look appeared in his eyes. "IRON SHARDS!" Suddenly, a thousand 1inch iron shards floated in the air, all pointing at Dale before launching at him at a very fast speed.

I'm okay with it. Since it's a combination of multiple magics, it will be very difficult to learn. Even when taught by the creator. It would make sense if after quite a bit of frustration he would turn to something else.))
