Into the Wild { ≘ ☽ ⸙͎ 🗲 ༄ }

    The Clans had dealt with storms and floods before, but it was during one horrible leaf-fall season that led to the Great Disaster. Constant thunderstorms battered the Clans, destroying territory and claiming many lives. There were a few days of peace, with the hope of recovery, before the Great Disaster came.

    The cats were completely unprepared as their lands flooded increasingly, and they had to scramble to the edge of their territory just for shelter. Prey, that had not drowned or was killed in the storm, scampered away. Herbs were lost, leading to losses from infections and sickness.

    Several seasons after the Great Disaster, the hope of remaining at the lake dwindled. The Clans were starving and suffered casualties from the remaining predators. Twolegs came more and more, scaring away what prey was left. The land they lived in never seemed to recover, even as the Clans expanded their borders outwards.

    StarClan, seeing their descendants suffer, guided them to a new home. Here, the Clans are still facing the effects of their journey and finally adjusting comfortably to their new lands. Of course, with new opportunities, new issues can arise.

     I think I will replicate the gorge but have it purposely connect to the river. So WindClan is North, given the hilly nature, RiverClan would border WindClan, ThunderClan, and partially SkyClan.

ShadowClan would border SkyClan, WindClan, and a Twolegplace. I may stretch them to Thunder, but I would have to curve around SkyClan... Unless SkyClan gave up a more.. "marshy" area to ShadowClan.

I think WindClan's "basic" territory on the map is done for now. I must decide on the best location for their camp and add landmarks.

RiverClan seems disconnected from the others, and I'm unsure how to approach that unless I sacrifice the river between then and ThunderClan. Also made their territory look like a bean. Oops.

     The moonplace is going to be a tree but in no way am I naming it Moontree. The idea is to have the cats sleep in the somewhat exposed roots. There are "nests" underneath them that are protected by brambles, thistles, and just a bunch of plants and rocks. It's also under a cliff and between two small falls. A rock path leads to it for cats to travel there safely. At the same, I want to honor the moon thing for being in the name.

     Meanwhile, the gathering place is between SkyClan, WindClan, and RiverClan territory. I want it to be canon that WindClan always arrives last because they are closest to it. It's a clearing with trees and rocks, like Four Trees. I don't know if they will address the Clans from a rock, tree, or stump.

     riverclan
     Whistling Chasm - a deep gorge that borders with WindClan, north of the gorge is a lavender field that marks the start of WindClan territory; RiverClan hunts around the banks in the stream
     Clear Water Bank - south of the gorge is a small pond that swirls back into the river, the pond connects to a stream that runs from their camp; this is an ideal spot for apprentices still adjusting to waters
     Slickstones - on the edge of their territory rests a collection of stones that form a nice hunting spot for land, and the stones are also prime for the cats the sunbathe; when theses stones are not flooded, ThunderClan and SkyClan try to grab them for themselves
     Pebble-skip Stream - deeper in RiverClan territory, there is a shallow stream that forks and twists; the water levels vary, and fresh apprentices are taken here first to learn how to swim against currents; the furthest stream acts as a border with SkyClan
     Shadepaw's Pine - a lone pine tree stands on the cliff and serves as a reminder of the edge nearby; after an apprentice foolishly fell off the edge all apprentices were banned from hunting here unattended

     Shale Pass - a tunnel that runs under ThunderClan territory toward the river and Twolegplace; ShadowClan takes this route to gatherings but also wishes to unlock the secrets of the tunnels hidden in the stone and undergrowth
     Lake Hawkeye - a small lake that feeds Hawkeye Creek and provides a hunting area for more amphibians. The soil is muddy and slick around the lake and river, so caution is advised. Hawks are known to nest in the trees and cliffs above.
     The Grand Redwood - an ancient tree that remains sturdy even through the strongest storm; the tree gives a home to many small creatures and gives ShadowClan a prime hunting location.
     Hawkeye Creek & Falls - connected to the lake, the creek flows through ShadowClan territory and cuts it in half. The stream then filters through a large, fallen, hollowed redwood tree into small falls.
     Little Frog Meadow - the original camp that ShadowClan settled in, it was left in favor of the more secure spot that foxes once lived in. Now the place is utilized as a training location for apprentices.

     could use the idea of set assessments, so:

-hunting - always at a hunting location, duh
-fighting - perhaps normal training location
-tracking - misc
-special skills - this depends on the clan, honestly

we know that:
riverclan would focus extremely hard on swimming, so they could have to swim the length of a part of the river
thunderclan has good undergrowth stalking, so they could have to track either a specific prey or the leader/deputy
shadowclan could have a mock battle at night for their tactics - could introduce a secret, more unofficial role of "Nightstalker"
skyclan would require climbing, I think using both the cliffs and trees would be nice
windclan could race for moor runners, and tunnelers would have to navigate to another clan's territory, track a warrior, or go to a specific tunnel

     This is going to be developed at a slower rate, I don't want to cut corners and reuse ideas here. I also don't want to push something out I will dislike within a week of it opening.
