This is my attempt at a debate thread, besides the 2020 Moor Running vs. Tunneling one, that will not die as fast as the thread from 2021 (Who does Sunningrocks belong to? RiverClan vs. ThunderClan) or the 2022 version (Forest territories vs. Lake territories).
My version is bound to either get no longer posted on or be locked eventually (we'll see which one) but I still just wanted to try and have a debate thread for 2023 since this is also a special year for the series (20th Anniversary).
Did I write the Clans down in order of my own ranking of them? Yes, I did! My vote should be very obvious lol. Also, I specifically wrote "includes SkyClan" because they got treated badly in universe (losing their home/going into exile/later on getting wrecked by Darktail/briefly being antagonized by Tigerstar) and irl (still not enough merch).
Please keep in mind that this is just for fun/a friendly debate thing and be respectful of each other(s opinions). I'll try bumping this thread up if/whenever I can remember to do so so that it hopefully lives a little longer.
Also, I'm already proposing for the 2024 debate thread to be about which arc is the best one!
Forgot to include my reasoning for voting on ThunderClan: most of the characters I love/like (but not all of them) are from this Clan, their protagonist Clan status just makes them iconic (although the other Clans deserve focus as well) and I'm a fan of their approach to usually try and talk things out before fighting (though this sometimes shifts throughout the books). But yeah, I just think they are the best <3

While I'm biased toward RiverClan I really love SkyClan, specifically before they joined the other clans. I love the idea of a Clan being rebuilt in live time, Firestar's Quest had such a charm to it that the other clans just- didn't give to me in my opinion? SkyClan was unique, a new view on a new clan at the time. So I picked SkyClan!
