So, I do remember this since I've got the book getting advertised below the zodiac chart. It's a Warrior Cats diary (Tagebuch).
Funnily enough, these names (on the chart) aren't actually supposed to be any of the canon Warriors names except for one. Steinfell which is Stonefur (upper left in the December/Dezember part of the chart). Edit for that specifically: I just saw that Steinfell/Stonefur is supposed to be the zodiac name here while the canon character for this sign is stated to be Bluestar in the diary lol. The drawings/art are supposedly specific cats though (some of which are inspired from the official German Warriors drawing book (How to draw Warrior Cats).
Although they might have sorted one of each canon character for the zodiacs in the book, not sure because I'm unable to remember due to me just skimming through the book when getting it a while ago.
Will look through the book soon and then get back to this thread to either expand on it or confirm there's no actual characters.
Update: I checked the diary and there are indeed actual characters sorted for each zodiac sign which they came up with in there. Will take pics of these and put those up on this thread as soon as my phone is fully charged and I'm able to settle down (still have some stuff like chores to do and such).

Yeah true, I also think Runningnose doesn't really fit with Smokesting/Rauchstachel (Scorpio). I'm aware that there are some headcanons around the fandom about him being (more) villainous. But those aren't canon and he's never been shown as someone you could call "mysterious" or "resentful" except if one applies these traits to him in fanon. Which honestly, makes him really interesting as a character even though I prefer him as he is/was canonically. |

I will take a look around on the German wiki discussion boards as well as on the German Warrior Cats side of Youtube in order to find out wether or not Runningnose is even popular there. Or perhaps one of the other German forum members on this site will know more about that and post on here in the meantime. Who knows. We shall see. |

Katanaheart So uh, as far as I can see, Squirrelflight, Leafpool, Spottedleaf, Cinderpelt, Jayfeather and Ravenpaw seem to be quite popular in the German WaCa fandom. But I truly have no idea why Runnningnose was chosen for as a character in this book. All of the others make sense because they do have varying types of popularity in the fandom (even Runningwind who is moreso an underdog but still has some fans including the ones in the English fandom). Of course, this info came from just a quick look on the German wiki, watching a few character popularity survey/poll videos on YT and just typing in "Favorite Warrior Cats list accoridng to fans" (in German) into my search engine. So maybe I'm just missing something.

I am not Runningnose (Scorpio) and none of those traits fit me either. I feel like Scorpio usually tends to be the zodiac sign which gets most sterotyped in terms of traits and behaviour(s). This was also the case here (the mysterious and resentful part especially). Like, I'm sure it's true for some (have only met two irl and one was not just not great while the other is) but not really for others (or every Scorpio in general). It also depends on the moon and rising sign of each individual. And yeah, Runningnose was a seemingly random choice to represent this sign imo. I checked on the German fandom and could not find him being popular enough to get a place in this book (all of the other characters are, including Runningwind, who has his fans just like in the English fandom). It kind of feels like a missed opportunity for them to include Cinderpelt instead (who is quite popular in both fandoms, as far as I can see). |

I know several Scorpios (my dad, my maternal grandpa, a cousin, and one of my friends) and the only one who kind of fits the description from that book is maybe my grandpa. He seems sort of mysterious, but he's not resentful or any of the other traits.
I agree that their moon and rising sign for any individual that's a Scorpio matters. My moon and rising signs definitely don't fit the traits there.
It feels like they picked him at random which is strange. Cinderpelt sounds like she'd be a better option due to her popularity and the focus she got in the books.
