Muse A is the daughter of the king's former mistress, who mysteriously disappeared after giving birth to their only child. Due to her strange colored eyes, many in the superstitious kingdom believed her to have been born a witch, except her one and only friend, Muse B. But when she is 10 years old, her childhood friend is sent off to be an apprentice of one of the kingdom's finest captains, but ten days after setting sail, the ship is attacked by pirates who left no survivors. Ten years later, Muse A runs into her childhood best friend by chance, and is surprised to learn that he was taken in by the pirates who had attacked his ship, and she contemplates joining the crew in order to escape her life as a shunned princess. Little does she know that the ocean holds more secrets than she could ever imagine.
Here we go! Do you want to be muse a or b?
We have a friend coming over tonight in about an hour so I've got to go get ready, then will be gone most of the night, but I can't wait to do this one! I'll make my character soon x

That is perfectly fine, enjoy your time with your friend! I was kind of thinking we could each play a siren, one the younger who saved the pirate boy or takes him under their wing, and then an older siren who doesnt know but is suspicous?
Then I wouldnt mind being the pirate muse B if you are okay with being the princess? Or vise verse on that.

Ooh I like that idea! So we each play a pirate and a siren, but two different plot lines?

so like, that same plot, but it just adds a few extra characters in there for some depth. Like, the princess and Muse B are obviosly the two main ones, and then there is the siren and the Pirate.
I just figured we could each have a siren and a pirate.
The siren could take the boy and choose not to hurt him, Siren A, but they have to hide it from Siren B, who could either be a simbling or a parent or the ruler of the sires?
The pirates could be like a mother and Muse B, or priate father or pirate brother who they also have to hide the siren world from?
Or is that too much?
because I guess we could also have people from the Princess' kingdom trying to find her and they can get cought up in stuff? Idk if any of that makes sense LOL

Yeah, I like the idea of adding in extra characters! We could also each have a few small characters we play as needed in the stories (like the king, the queen, another sailor or captain, etc) Do you want the two plot lines to be in the same story or two different stories?

I like them in the same story line, I think they flow together

yeah, let’s go with it!
So as main characters we have: The Shunned Princess - Me The Childhood Best friend - you The Pirate who took in the childhood best friend - me The siren who saved the pirate - you
Then as side characters we have: The siren Queen / older sister of the siren who saved the pirate The king The Queen (who hates the princess because she’s illegitimate) And anyone else who comes up!
Does that sound right?

Princess is like 20, so childhood best friend would probably be in the 18-24 range? I don’t have a gender preference, you can do what you like!

Siren >> Maribelle >> Maribelle is a siren that resides in the great sea of Celebes. She has recently grown into the age of song, the age where sirens earn their songs and can begin training to lure men to their deaths. Although she has reached the age where she can now begin her duties, she has an unusually soft heart for people who travel the sea and often struggles with the values her family so strongly believe in. It took her a lot longer than the sirens her age to find her song, and happened upon it one day while her family was under attack. She is overly curious of the human world that lives above, and often dreams of walking among them as a human herself one day, a difficult feat since her family is aware of her struggles as a siren and try to watch her every move so she wont disgrace them. Maribelle is going to be faced with lots of life changing decisions and will have to choose between her own family, or losing her family song or the unknown human world where preils lie around every corner.
Charles >> Best friend >> Charles grew up in the kingdom of Adagio from birth and was set to be one of the next high guards who protected the kingdom and its royal family, until one unfortunate day the ship he set out on was attacked by pirates. As ayoung boy who could not swim very well, and still cannot to this day, he was saved by a mother on the ship who had recently lost her son. They had decided to nurse him back to health and raised him as their own. Charles memory of his previous life is very spotty, but can recall one person, his best friend, but does not remember that she is a princess. He is a very kind soul, but will die protecting the ones who saved his life, and will not stand for disrespect to the pirate world. He is very free-willed and finds it really hard to stay in one place for a long time. He has little time for relationships and vowed as a young man to never fall in love, but maybe that would change if the right person came along. He strives for adventure as he knows there are many secrets the sea waters hold.

The Princess >> Amara
Born the bastard daughter of the King of Adagio, Amara de Leguas has never been welcome in her father's kingdom. Despite the king wishing his only daughter to have a place in court, she has always been shunned by her half-brother and the Queen, who never miss an opportunity to make her life a living hell. But her reputation as an outsider extends far past her lineage...The young woman's unnaturally red eyes strike fear into all who make eye-contact with her, and from a young age, she began wearing a thin veil over her face to give her a greater chance at normalcy. But to her dismay, her hesitancy to show her face only added to the rumors that she was a sorceress or a witch--or worse. By the age of 15, she had resigned herself to her fate as an outcast, and did her best to keep out of the public eye, sneaking out of the castle whenever possible to explore the city beyond the castle grounds. She has made a handful of local friends and acquaintances over the years, but the people she trusts are few and far between. The Pirate >> Tristan
Captain of The Bloody Rose, Tristan McBride is a ruthless pirate bent on avenging his father's death. When Tristan was just a boy, his father's ship was overtaken by blood thirsty sirens who left none of the crew alive. Despite his best efforts, he has been unable to track down the pod of sirens who plague the Sea of Celebes due to their unpredictable migratory patterns, but he is determined to hunt down every last one. Though he may be ruthless in his dealings with his enemies, Tristan is fiercely loyal to his crew, and would lay down his life for any one of them. Most of the sailors have been with him since the beginning, so they are always wary of outsiders. But when his ship attacked one of the Royal Navy's smaller vessels, his first mate, Katherine, begged him to spare the life of one of the ship's deckhands, who was similar in age and stature to her recently deceased son. Reluctantly, Tristan had allowed the boy to live, taking him under his wing and teaching him everything he knew as they sailed from port to port, searching for the sirens who had taken his father's life.

Amara
Amara could hear lively music from the ballroom floating up to her quarters in the East wing of the castle, accompanied by raucous laughter and the sounds of merriment that accompanied the Harvest Festival Ball. Hearing the clocktower ring the tenth hour, she got up from of her dressing table and walked to her window that overlooked the city below, as well as the Sea of Celebes even further beyond. The townspeople were also celebrating the festival that only came once a year, and she longed to be a part of it. The queen had worked hard to ensure that Amara stay far away from the royal festivities, as her presence made the courtesans feel uncomfortable or awkward. But that didn’t mean that she couldn’t enjoy the evening. With an excited smile, she quickly walked to the floor length mirror and studied her reflection.
The young woman had donned a simple blue dress that fell just above her ankles, a pair of sturdy boots, and a dark brown cloak with an oversized hood that would shadow her eyes and help her blend in amongst the people. Checking that her dagger and coin purse were securely strapped to her waist, she gave herself a nod of approval, then slipped out of her room. Her step was light and quick as she made her way through the East Wing, which was largely abandoned now due to the festival. But, not wanting to take any chances of running into someone, she opted to descend the servant's staircase and leave through a small backdoor.
As Amara briskly walked the path from the castle into town, she kept her eyes on a swivel, always alert for potential danger. Luckily, she made it into town without any issues, though the throngs of people slowed her pace significantly. Her heart was beating swiftly in both excitement and anxiety as she took in the myriad of sounds, smells, and sights of the Harvest Festival. This was the first one she had attended, and she was not used to being around such massive crowds of people. Drunken laughter rang out, as men and women danced to the jolly music that filled the air, and she desperately wished she could dance too. But she knew that joining in the fun was too great of a risk. Amara had simply come to be a curious bystander.
Spotting a shadowy corner where the crowd seemed a bit thinner, the young woman made her way to the secluded retreat. But when a sudden outburst of yelling to her right caught her attention, she had failed to watch where she was going, and collided into a man who had been crossing her path.
"Oh dear!" Amara exclaimed, eyes wide as she quickly went to adjust her cloak. It had fallen back slightly in the impact, and she didn't want to risk eye contact with this stranger. But when the young man met her gaze, she froze, mouth agape as she stared at him, bewildered.
"...Charles?"

Best Friend >> Charles with Amara "Charles! Take a swig of this!" A voice called, today was the first day of the Harvest Fall Ball, and even though it was a Ball, the first part of the day would be spent in a drunken stupor of fellowship between the royals and the town-folk. It was the one day a year that the common people were able to see and a celebrate freely with the Royal family, apart from his best friend who had been banished from leaving the castle due to superstitions of the Queen. The Queen was known for having a short temper and heavily relied on the witches, oracles and visionaries of the town to dictate most of her actions. The seers were rarely accurate, but to each their own. Charles was off work today, seeing he had followed the path of his now deceased father and was an apprentice of one of the kingdom's finest captains. He was still here to keep an eye out for crime and danger, especially since the Royal family would be coming out to mingle shortly. Drinking had never been a past time he enjoyed, he fully enjoyed the soberness and the peace it provided. He did learn the hard way once after last Harvest Fall that drinking held many messy thoughts and even worse behaviors for him. Thankfully he was not yet appointed to be an apprentice, or he would have lost his position. Waving off his friend, Charles turned down the pathway, wanting to find some sort of solace in a more quiet area. The throng of people coming and going was excessive. Between the roaring laughter, people bringing in gifts for the kind and queen, and others bring things to win favor of the kingdom, people dancing, children playing, he was being pushed and shoved everywhere. After a long minute, Charles found a shaded area near the bridge that connected the Castle to the town where he could breathe. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and began to kick a rather large stone while his mind raced of the upcoming sail he would have to take to finalize his apprenticeship. "Oof!" Charles gasped, the air from his lungs being knocked out briefly from impact with another person crossing his path. He held out his hands to help steady the woman, not wanting her to fall into the river. "I'm sorry- Princess?" Charles whispered, his voice shocked. "What are you doing out here?" He asked urgently. It had been months if not longer since they had seen each other, but the brief glimpse of her eyes confirmed her identity. "This is dangerous! You shouldn't be out here of all day, what are you thinking!" he grabbed her shoulders and pulled her under the bridge, away from the eye of the public. "You need to go back, at once." He demanded, looking over his shoulder to make sure no one was watching or had seen their encounter.
