We're bound to get Riverstar's Home cover & blurb very soon. My guess is before the month is over. If not then in the Feb. catalog. Do you think RH will have some kind of journey/quest that River Ripple takes? I've added a poll, comment below if you want.

Presuming/hoping his early life with the cats of the park will be included. There will undoubtedly be some traveling after he leaves the park.

Maybe. RH could be about anything yet, I’m dying to know more about it! We may see Riverstar journey to the old park to see if any Cats of the Park are left, bringing them back to RiverClan to strengthen their numbers. I’m truly so excited for this book:)

I’m thinking his kithood will be included, given the nature of Leopardstar’s Honor…but this is just speculation. I’m definitely hoping they included it. I’d love to meet his father/mother. I’d love to see more about the Cats of the Park. I want to see more of his relationship with Arc (which would make his separation from him hit much harder this time). I hope we see Arc giving him a life too (assuming he died and assuming we see Riverstar’s leader ceremony). I’m sure we’ll see some form of travel once Riverstar (Ripple/River Ripple, technically) leaves his old home and arrives at his new one. I mean if a more significant journey is included in the story.

I’m truly so excited for this book:) Maybe is a valid vote…as you said, RH could be about literally anything at this point. I think this is quite likely too, given the title of the book. Maybe this is a huge quest for him. I’m hoping it’s not, but we’ll see. I’d prefer a short quest if anything but a quest to retrieve his old kin/group is a totally realistic possibility and something I think the Erins would do. Regardless, I am very, very excited for this book too and am glad someone else feels that way.

I was just thinking…I really, really hope they remember River Ripple/Riverstar’s name at birth was simply Ripple. They did remember Tree’s original name was Earth for his novella, so I suppose it can’t hurt to be cautiously optimistic.

I’m vouching for his journey from leaving the Park, until he arrives at the park being a significant portion of the book. Since I found his brief backstory during his bonus scene then the rest of DOTC. Personally I’m hoping for the book to span with the beginning being some time during his kithood, with it ending as he’s meeting Gray wing & Clear Sky and the others for the first time. As that would make it completely deprived of clan culture, and everything else were familiar with, which would hopefully leave room for fresh content as opposed to rehashing old content. However, while I’m optimistically hoping for that to happen. My actual expectations are pretty neutral, as I don’t particularly care for Riverstar that much as a character. And while the first half of DOTC was pretty good. I’m indifferent, pushing towards dislike regarding the latter half. So I’m keen on reading a bunch of replayed scenes just from his perspective. But who knows, maybe I’ll be surprised.

I hope you'll end up enjoying it.
