Jaime gave a nod to her. "Well if I see anything outt here that might work for you I'll be sure to grab it. Do you know if my father needs anything by any chance?"

"True, it's still crazy how this is the new normal." Tyson remembered how he could barely sleep the first six months. A part of him hoped that the zombies would eventually die out and they wouldn't have to live in fear anymore.

Jaime gave a nod to her words. "Got it, I'll keep an eye out for any of that stuff, ypu guys stay safe in here," they said, offering a small smile to her, before taking their leave. They planned to try see if anyone else needed anything before they headed out but weren't sure who else was up and about.

Nestor was stretching as he sat down, exhausted


"I try to be, you all are still very young"she said softly


Max nodded"i promise not to break anything again!"

"That should be good mijo, let's get back to my apartment"she said as she walked towards the stairs


Max quickly followed after him"are we gonna go into town?"he asked

"I just need to go slow, I will be fine"she said, appreciating the other's concern


Matt nodded as he hurried down to the docks"are the undead worse in town?"he asked

"I can hold onto your arm if that will make you feel better"she said, shaking her head


"Can we visit the other settlements?"

She gently held onto his arm as she walked"so kind to me"


He nodded as he looked through boxes around the dock, keeping an eye out forany danger

She opened her room's door slowly"do you want to be my taste tester? Lázaro is too busy to do it"


"A few old toys, some fishing line"he said with a shrug

She smiled as she worked on the food, making some caldo and rice.


He smiled as he dug through a box, pulling out an old phone"maybe this?"

Alex's mouth watered as he smelled the scents of Araceli cooking. "Smells really good!" He smiled.

Jackson came over to Max. He studied the phone that was in his hand. "Hm..." he hummed, "Maybe, let's take it to Elizabeth and see what she thinks."

Alex sat on the floor and looked around the room. It seemed like it was very cozy and almost reminded him of home.

"Maybe," Jackson replied while inspecting the old phone, "If this isn't what she needs, then we can go look in town."

"Good," Alex nodded, "Now everybody should get well fed!" He was happy that they always had food. The garden was a great source of resources.

Jackson shrugged. "A little bit. There's more zombies there since the infection started in town. Have to keep your guard up at all times."

Alex laughed. "Wouldn't be a bad idea to open a restaurant. I think it would've done well before the infection." He smiled brightly.

"If we do end up having to go to town, we need to bring a first aid kit and some self defense weapons," Jackson explained. "If we don't have to, I'm sure we can go visit there sometime." He knew that the teen didn't have that many memories before the infection, but still wanted him to experience a little bit of what normal life was like.
