Who do you think is the most consistent/best written character in warriors, in all or most of their appearances? By that I mean their character makes sense, they don't suddenly change personality without good reason to or without development to it.

She may be new but Sunbeam so far has been very consistent in her personality and development. ASC spoiler

Honestly bristlefrost has been consistent. Lots of people forget she was what she was with rootspring like how she was with stemleaf

Lionblaze. He is always written as the rude and somewhat bland guy.

Honestly bristlefrost has been consistent. Lots of people forget she was what she was with rootspring like how she was with stemleaf I disagree. The first two and half books she showed no interest in Rootspring and all of a sudden out of nowhere at the end of the third book she confesses she is into him when Rootspring confesses his liking for her.

Skystar (even “redeemed” he remains cowardly and self righteous) and Tigerstar 2 (he is consistently just a terrible person to anyone who isn’t in his immediately family or clan - this includes Dovewing until she moved to ShadowClan for him).

Honestly bristlefrost has been consistent. Lots of people forget she was what she was with rootspring like how she was with stemleaf I personally disagree, her original personality just disappeared for books 4 and 5 of broken code because she randomly fell in love with Rootspring out of nowhere at the end of book 3. The old Bristlefrost does finally resurface in book 6 but that was too little too late for me unfortunately.

I'm not sure if Cloudtail counts, because of him being rude as hell in his kit & apprentice stages but.. that's just him being a dumb little kid right? I think he was written pretty well. I liked Brightheart's character too. She was written really well, her relationship with Cloudtail is really sweet and I can't wait for their graphic novel.
As for consistent, I'd say Tigerclaw. I mean... The writers were so dedicated to making him a bad guy, he just outright started as one, right? I didn't read Redtail's Debt. As well as with Brokenstar, I guess. He wasn't too bad as an apprentice though, and I smiled when he said "Yellowfang's my friend now!". Cinderpelt was also pretty consistent of a character.
The least consistent characters were Nightstar and Feathertail. Love them to death, both sides of them, especially Nightstar, but them in their graphic novels compared to them in the main arcs are very different. I suppose I can understand Nightstar a bit more, but Feathertail's change of character was weird. Also Blackstar. But I actually hate his character. He was so evil for little to no reason. He killed Stonefur, too... Also hello?? Blackstar found out his dad was cheating on Featherstorm with his mom and decided "yeah no I'll keep quiet about this." What??? Bad son smh. Justice for Hollyflower and Featherstorm.

Cloudtail. He got more chill as he got older but other than that, he’s written very consistently.

I’m gonna get smoke for this, but Onestar always felt like a very consistent and uniquely written character that felt very natural in his changes in personality and cowardly demeanor. Far from being a good cat or likeable cat personality wise, his writing was always very consistent to me for the scenes he was needed for.

I suppose I can understand Nightstar a bit more, but Feathertail's change of character was weird. As much as I love Feathertail and her graphic novel, I have to agree. She went through some great development, but it was so different from her usual character that it felt a little off. I know they use that to explain why she's such a understanding cat after the whole mess with Leopardstar, but it felt like a very drastic change to her character...maybe a bit too drastic for Feathertail. - To answer the question, my first thought was Firestar. He's the cat who always fought for what he believed was right, even if everyone else was against that decision. The Erins have always highlighted that character trait of his - from what I remember, at least.

I don't think Dovewing is an inconsistent character because of that reason. She has always wanted to be with Tigerheart and even wanted to move to ShadowClan back in NW. It's not a surprise that she left TC to join SC for him.

Is Jayfeather consistent? I know he's always had a sharp tongue and gets grumpy easily but I can't remember many details from POT and OOTS

Is Jayfeather consistent? I know he's always had a sharp tongue and gets grumpy easily but I can't remember many details from POT and OOTS I've seen people mentioning he's been flanderized in the more recent arcs, but he's seemed pretty consistent to me. He's still an abrasive jerk but I think part of it stems from the fact that he's no longer a pov character, and perhaps his age.

Did Jayfeather really have any other traits other than being really rude and angry, from the beginning, though? I'm assuming he must have but I feel like any redeeming/less negative qualities that I remember he had, are things either from when he went back in time, or just stuff I have seen in fan works.

Jayfeather's compassionate and he cares about his Clan. He's a good medicine cat because of this. But that's all I can think of.
