I'm fairly certain everyone has different ideas of how long the time gap was. I think the most common viewpoint is that the gap was about 50 years.

I always assumed DotC took place around 1910s, since Kate Cary imagined the car that ran Turtle Tail over to be a Model T (sold 1908-1927). Guess that might not be the case lol.
Edit: I also though that the Original Series took place in the 1990s or early 2000s.

for some reason i picture DotC in the 1940s-50s ? and TPB is either 90s or 2000s+

Don't take the Chinese art too seriously. One of their releases also featured Sharptooth just being a very fat Maine Coon

My take is that DOTC is around the 1800s, first series is around 90s/early 2000s.

Personally, I think DOTC takes place in the 1920s, and TPB is in the 2000s or 1990s. I wouldnโt rely on the Chinese art though.

I feel like they really messed up the timeline for warriors with DOTC in general. My general theories are:
1. DoTC takes place roughly 1908-1915 when cars were becoming common place
2. Warriors takes place in our future - it would make sense with so many time skips and how the novels definitely don't follow real life time. If this is the case, I imagine the clans formed around 1960s-1970s, with TPB taking place sometime between 2000-2020. I personally favor this one recently.
3. Warriors exists in an AU, where the human world is parallel to ours only advances in things like cars happened way earlier.

Since TPB was published in 2003 I assumed that was the time it took place. Before TPB we had Bluestar, then Goosefeather, then Pinestar, then Mapleshade, then Cloudstar, then DotC and MFV, TE, and, SL. So it had to be at least 30 years ago. Which is 1973.
