I'll admit, on paper the ship doesn't sound that impressive. When I saw spoilers of it, I was like, "Great, another forbidden romance?"
But when I read Sky, their relationship is actually pretty wholesome, adorable, and comforting amid so much negativity from surrounding characters. I like how they trust each other to confide in their doubts and worries and how they always feel so cheered and relieved after talking with one another. They do a great job of listening to the other's anxieties and quite frankly, that's heartwarming for me.
Also, Sunbeam's tail was curled around Nightheart's leg was just too cute. <3
What are your thoughts on Night x Sun?

Not a fan of NightSun, sorry. But especially at the end of Sky, it felt more like rebound on Sunbeam's part because of Blazefire and like an escape option for Nightheart from ThunderClan. We'll see how things go in Shadow and the rest of ASC though. I just personally don't want them to be endgame.

I don't think I'm a hardcore shipper or anything, but the moments they shared were sweeter than I expected. I kind of wish Nightheart hadn't brought up the idea of mates so early on, though, but just the way they confided in each other and confessed their woes touched my heart because I feel really lonely and I want that...You're right, we'll see how it goes. I may end up liking them more or disliking them.

I like them to finally someone else who does. I'm a sucker for romance plots

I don't like them at all as a real, made to succeed, relationship. However, if they are being set up to not work out and written as being rushed into, then from a story perspective I will enjoy it.
If they are written in a way that's not meant to last, then I hope at the least they remain friends, as I still enjoy their friendship.

Nightheart using her to spy on her clan and lying to her face is a pretty dirty move on his part. And Sunbeam really feels like she's just using him as a rebound guy.
But you know, Tigerheartstar was also like that, so who knows.

I genuinely don't think it's that bad. But it's only been two books, so the best we can do is wait for the third and fourth books and see how it works out? Since those will be the mid arc finales.
