I don't know if this site has templates for people to use but I can't find any so this is gonna be basic looking. I apologize in advance. If my Toyhouse templates worked i'd use them. I need help filling in all these empty spots on their Clan Profiles. I don't know why I decided to do this to myself XD Feel free to borrow stuff from here like traditions and the edited warrior code especially if you want it to be a bit more inclusive.
Origins of the Clans The clans Cedarclan, Brushclan, Rootclan, & Willowclan were formed after Stormgaze, Talonfrost, & Mossybird traveled to find a new home after being falsely accused of attempting to murder a clan leader. They befriended cats in this new territory and decided to create a new clan with a few revised rules. Stormgaze went on to create Brushclan the most traditional of the clans, Talonfrost & Mossybird Cedarclan which was a bit less strict. Rootclan was created by Loners & kittypets after the discussion of the Warrior Code and they didn't like how exclusionary it was, and Willowclan was created a generation later after arguments broke out between the former loners and kittypets about kittypets leaving for days to visit their housefolk.
During the end of the Third Generation and the formation of the Fourth Generation some cats from all clans got fed up with all the fighting and death that was happening and left their clans to create a neutral clan Mallowclan which has a council called The Sages. Cats are welcome to stay for a while but they will be required to participate while they are there. Cedarclan "May the great cats of The Pit bless us with freedom and inspiration" Cedarclan are the theater kids of the clans, they regularly put on plays and tell stories and get along well with most of the other clans because of their current leader Gingerstar. They are great swimmers as they have three rivers running through their territory.
Cedarclan's main point of interest is The Pit which is an abandoned Zoo (The Pit) or Big Cat Sanctuary (The Cages). In the center is a circular rotating globe that shows a statue of a lion, tiger, and leopard in the day and at night it shows stars. Cedarclan honors their ancestors who've been trapped in the horrible cages and pits twolegs put them in by sitting on the steps of the globe and speaking with their ancestors. "Brushclan lives along a mountainside with a river running through it. Good luck trying to raid their camp because Brushclan can scale ledges to safety easily which gives them an advantage when fighting back." Brushclan is the most religious out of the clans, everything they do revolves around Starclan. Cats that are skeptical of Starclan are looked down on and cats who seem to be questioning their loyalty to the clan are challenged. Brushclanclan cats are smaller than average but since they live so high up they have strong forepaws and hindlegs that let them scale ledges better.
Brushclan's main point of interest is their Skyledge which is where they can look up at The Silk River (Silverpelt) and talk to their ancestors and interpret the stars. Their medicine cats are called Skyreaders and they have the same role as a traditional medicine cat. |

Rootclan "Relying on your ears in the tunnels is dangerous, trust your instincts and Starclan to guide you." Formed by a group of rogues and loners who were interested in the idea of the clans but didn't like the original warrior code. Rootclan lives at the base of the mountain and has two camps, one in the forest and another in a cave. There are hollows in the walls for makeshift dens.
Rootclan's main point of interest is The Moss Cave which has glittering rocks all around. The cats chant/sing towards the opening in the ceiling and when it is over they lie around the gems and speak to their ancestors which show themselves in the gems around them. Willowclan Willowclan is made up of mostly former kittypets who wanted to try out clan life and have taught this clan how to craft and build items that they trade with the other clans. They live around the marshes. Willowclan believes that when cats die they are transported to the moon which is definitely the biggest star in the sky at night!
Willowclan's main point of interest is The Star Tree that sits in the middle of the marsh south of their camp.
Mallowclan
Mallowclan is my Medicine clan. This clan is becoming known as a safe spot if you're ever sick, injured, or just need protection or a place to stay for a few nights. Loners are given food and shelter in return for protection, Kittypets are allowed to visit or stay for a while as long as they bring herbs or interesting trinkets from the two-paw place, Rogues are to be questioned and if they are deemed safe they may be allowed but must agree to the clan's deal of providing payment. If they do not then they are not permitted to enter and will be escorted off the territory.

Warrior Codes The clans have a modified version of the old code that looks a lot like the new code from the recent books. I'll throw it here just as a base for the others. My friend and I created this for another project we were doing so it definitely came in handy. 1. Defend all the Clans, even with your life. Your first loyalty is to your Clan, but all cats who follow the warrior code are your allies. Each Clan must ensure that no other Clan falls.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Do everything you can to feed and care for the sick, elderly, nursing, and kits before yourselves. Respecting those vulnerable and those who came before and who come after as they are the heart of the clan.
4. Warriors will not hunt for fun, we kill only to survive.
5. Kits cannot leave camp to train to become warriors until they are 6 moons old. What they do in camp is at the discretion of the clan they're in.
6. New warriors are to be given a challenge they must endure by the discretion of the clan they're in.
7. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled.
8. After the death, retirement, promotion (to a leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
9. A Gathering of all Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
10. A daylight gathering shall be held near the end of Leaf-bare and the middle of New-leaf as a way to unite the clans.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Inspect outsiders before entry.
12. No cat is to neglect a kit or queen that is in need of help, no matter if they are not from the clans.
13. If a Clan member believes that their leader is no longer leading with honor and integrity, they can challenge them. Three-quarters of the Clan members, including their medicine cats, must agree. Their objections will then be presented to the leaders of the other Clans. If the other leaders agree, all medicine cats will request that StarClan remove the leader's remaining lives and give them to the deputy. These objections cannot be raised by the deputy.
14. A deputy's duty is to aide their leader but also to challenge and suggest other options if necessary.
15. Kits are not allowed outside camp unless supervised by at least three cats
16. Queens do not have to disclose who the father of their kits is.
17. Apprentices must go through a trial to become a warrior.
18. Fighting will not be permitted in the clan, we are kin not enemies.
19. Important decisions maybe be cast by stones, all cats past apprenticeship may participate.
20. Cats are allowed to share tongues with Starclan if needed. No one should be barred from their ancestors.
21. Cats no matter what their role are to learn basic warrior training for at least three months so they can properly defend themselves in an emergency. Brushclan's Additional Code 1. Cats who are found to have mates from a different clan are to be exiled from Brushclan. If a queen is having kits, the queen will be held in camp until the kits are weaned and then the queen will be exiled. Kits will not be told of their half-clan origins. Cedarclan's Additional Code 1. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
2. If a cat who has never apprenticed is chosen or there are multiple objections, a debate must be held and the winner will be chosen by casting stones.
3. A warrior or medicine cat may switch their allegiance from one Clan to another but must meet a set of conditions. The cat wishing to change Clans must perform a task of their intended Clan’s choosing. If they succeed, it will be deemed StarClan’s will that they change Clans, and their request will be granted.
4. Cats of all ages are allowed to learn how to perform in a play (needs cat name for theater/play).
5. Outsiders who wish to learn may also join but stealing someone's story without credit or permission will not be permitted.
Rootclan's Additional Code 1. A cat must not be discriminated against because of the color of their fur or origin of their birth.
2. Killing isn't an offense unless it is in cold blood. Elders, Queens & Kits are not to be harmed.
3. Kits can be taught basic skills and help around camp at 4 moons old but cannot leave camp to train to become warriors until they are 6 moons old.
4. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice or have challenged and one against a cat who objects.

Clan traditions & SuperstitionsThis one is fun cause a bunch of this lore was said on call but I didn't type it down XD Some other things are in character's bios...if I wrote it down. AllShooting stars are their Starclan ancestors communicating with the old clans. A select few newly made warriors of all clans are sent out by Starclan to go on a journey. Queens do not have to disclose who the father is unless they want to. The clans live peacefully with possums. Cats provide a bit of prey for them and the possums groom their fur to help get rid of fleas and ticks. Just like in the original clans Cedar & Brushclan tend to pick cats that were related to the previous leaders in some way for their more important roles.
CedarclanFeathers falling on stage is bad omen. Foxfire mushrooms which are grown on rotten logs are lined around the stage so that it will be illuminated enough for their ancestors to use.

When the kits are old enough and the Queen is ready, they will be brought to the Skyledge and introduced to their ancestors as a way of welcoming them into the clan.

Mallowclan's territory includes clan's gathering place. Camp is located in a secluded area away from the gathering place for the privacy and security of the cats that live there.

Sages are chosen by the oldest and most skilled cat in the previous Sage's field. Warriors
Warriors are assigned to a specific field depending on their skills. Healers
Healers are the medicine cats of the clan though they do not have any special connection to Starclan. If any cat is in need of more help they're on call and ready to help. Harvesters
Harvesters tend to the herb gardens in their territory and make sure there's plenty of herbs for all the clans to share. Messengers
Messengers are swift-footed cats who help deliver news and messages to the clans & nofur place and scout for any danger in the forest. Hunters
Hunters are in charge of providing food for the clan. Protectors
Protectors guard camp and also accompany cats who need the protection while away from camp. Apprentices
Apprentices are trained in basic warrior skills and also in healing along with whatever field they are assigned to. Queens
Occasionally queens will travel from the clans to have their kits delivered in Mallowclan. They are to be cared for and respected no matter where they are from. |

Territory My clans are based in California so I try to find images taken from actual places in the state. Our Vernal pools are diminishing so I thought I'd add them to Willowclan. Rootclan Fire Lake
Fire lake is a volcanic lake located to the west of Rootclan's camp. This is one of the first stops new apprentices take, a warrior will bring an old bit of prey or a leaf and throw it in the water so they can understand just how dangerous the lake is to be around. You can occasionally see nofurs at the lake doing things with the fire water.

Whispering Caverns
The caverns are where kits who are ready to become apprentices undertake a journey into the caverns where they will have to rely on their instincts and not their ears so that they can reach their end destination which will take them to the outside where they can begin their new lives as apprentices and finally experience the world outside. Though this current generation seems to have a lower mortality rate than the last, the future generations will implement safer measures such as a cat escorting the kit to a set point where it has safer routes to the exit.

Home to a grizzly bear named Fierceclaw. They rarely come across her while patrolling but it's safer to stay away than to accidentally meet her.

Nofur Trail
A nature trail that lies right along the border of Willowclan. You can occasionally see nofurs riding horses or running along it. and there's a bridge going over a river.
Vernal Pools (needs name)
Pools of water that will up in leaf-fall and leaf-bare but dry up in newleaf. Beautiful native flowers pop up around it and is a great place for.
Mallowclan
Orchard
Fruit tree orchard. Harvesters will collect fallen fruit to use in their festive drinks. Also a good place to find rodents.
