One of those weird things no one talks about is that Jayfeather just straight up time travels in order to insure a stable time loop where the clans are created so he exists so he is able to go back in time and so on and so forth. What did you think of this whole time travel plot? Would you like to see it get brought back in the series?

was executed kinda wonky. its so complicated that i doubt they will do it again or mention it again. it wouldnt end well if they tried it again

Maybe unpopular opinion, but I really liked it. Time traveling is always weird, but I still enjoy it.
I like Jayfeather's relationship with Half Moon and I like seeing how he tried to cope with his eyes open. It was an intriguing conflict where Jayfeather had to ensure the present happened by making sure things went right in the past. I mean, if he failed, he might have ceased to exist, and all the Clans would be gone.
I wouldn't really want it to be brought back to the series, though. That felt like something only a very powerful cat could do, and Jayfeaher, having the power of the stars in his paws, can't get much more powerful than that.

Enjoyed it but it felt very out of place with the book it was it. It would have made more sense if it was done or at least teased earlier in PoT. Mostly because I actually like the Ancients a lot and I would've loved to see more of them throughout the arc

I loved it. Some of my favorite parts of Long Shadows and (definitely) Sign of the Moon were Jaypaw/feather's going back in time to visit the Ancients and the Ancient Tribe. I loved the Ancients who lived by the lake especially for some reason. I don't really know why.
It's really, really cool that Jayfeather is indirectly responsible for the beginning of the Clans.

I liked it initially, but it ended up being completely useless and poorly executed, like a lot of storylines in Omen of the Stars.

Cool concept but badly executed overall. Had some interesting moments although I would not want to see it get brought back due to just how convoluted it all seemed to be.

It was really interesting to read about Clan history. Timetraveling combined with history is one of my favorite plots to read.
