I like the thought of a disaster world post-plague, we'd just have to be really careful with how we design the plague.
Does it only effect specific people, and that's why some survived? Is it just that there's a small chance you'll live through it, and if you do you just can't catch it again? Does it leave some kind of marker? Did it sweep through the world seeming like a common cold then attack everyone in very quick session. Is it still attacking the population even now?

Hmm.. Maybe it's a certain gene that can exempt people from getting it. I think it should spread from person to person, not as airborne as the common cold. Maybe a bug or something could carry it. Maybe people with a certain eye color are immune so once all the people who have it have been quarantined and passed away it's gone leaving more people alive in developed nations than the undeveloped ones.

I like the gene idea, though I'd prefer one that's not outwardly visible, so you end up with people not having any idea if they're safe or not, they just are. And then after a while. if any science facilities last, they slowly realize what it is and start testing for it. Or it could be that no one ever knows.

That's even better Ok. So should the rp take place in the United States?

Unless there's another place you'd prefer. Though I prefer the U.S.

Sounds like a good idea. How much of the population should it kill? A smaller number allows the characters to all live in a quarantine compound, or a larger number gives us the option for them to wander randomly.

Yeah. So maybe some small communities that aren't as organized and also some nomadic loner groups?
I can help make anything you need. I haven't done a whole lot of formatting recently, but I did quite a bit in the old days.
