How a would write it is that the cats live there happiest lives there. But bristlefrost is realizing everything is to perfect and wants to escape. She thinks bringing one of the medicen cats to her will help. She focuses on them there's a gap focus on the gap. For a moment a color point she cat appears she gasps then she's gone. So the cat she thought was willowshine was bristlefrost and the cat she thought was leoperdstar was frecklewish who knew frostpaw could not here starclan so she came to reassure her. Darkforest cats go to a shadow demention but she broke free.

But the cat that Frostpaw thought was Willowshine couldn’t have been Bristlefrost. Because the only thing she could see of the cat was green eyes, which is why she thought it was willowshine. Bristlefrosts eyes are blue

It's an interesting thought, but personally I think having faded cats come back loses the impact of their sacrifice/cessation of existence. What's the point of even killing their spirit if they can just easily come back? It loses it's sense of being poignant.
