-- Okay what I want to review about this manga is mainly our protag, Feathertail. In the past I absolutely disliked her, (I do not know why to this day?) But now she is starting to grow on me.
Let's start with her character shall we? For starters if anyone viewing this has read Midnight, and the other second ark books, we know that Feathertail was considered this most gentle, kind-hearted, caring, she-cat out of the travelling group. We also know that she liked Crowpaw/feather at that time, until she sacrificed herself for everyone. So when we all read, "A Shadow In Riverclan" her personality changed, and we all see why, Tigerstar and Leopardstar.
I could easily understand why she didn't trust any cat, (and why no one bothered to help Stonefur against 2 others? smh), so she parted ways from her clanmates.. It came to the point where she had no one, and was also trying to separate herself from her brother because he didn't feel her feelings! After some time being the "lonely cat" she saw Ferncloud, (her only friend), show up chasing a squirrel over the border. The two have a friendly chat on Riverclan territory, but as expected, Riverclan cats showed up. They were about to claw Ferncloud, when Feathertail tackled her fellow clanmates, showing us that she would protect a ThunderClan cat, and attack Riverclan.
When they reported this, she expected to be exiled, but instead she got apprentice duties for moons! (And a suitable punishment too) After her last days as being an "apprentice" were done she and her clan found Sasha and her kits. Feathertail warmed up to her and the two eventually became best friends, until one day Sasha told her that the father of her kits were Tigerstar, of course Feathertail was angered by this, but kept the secret. It caused them to fall apart and Feathertail was devastated, but it wasn't her fault that Sasha was mates with Tigerstar.
Eventually, Sasha left her kits in Riverclan, and Feathertail promised to take care of her kits. BUT OF COURSE, she can see Tigerstar through Hawkpaw/frost and gets worried.
So as I kept on reading, I saw that Feathertail was still not trusting Leopardstar until one day, Hawkpaw, Mothpaw (I think?), Leopardstar, and Feathertail all went on a patrol together to find the fox. She gets angry that her leader comes along after everything she and her been through.
They come along the fox, and everything shifts into a fight to the point where Leopardstar was going to die, but Feathertail forgave her and saved her leader! And at the end of the book we see her getting the prophecy by Oakheart.
I have no idea why her personality changed in the comic? I was highly confused and (mildly) disappointed that we didn't get that she-cat we saw long ago! But overall, I enjoyed the art and reading it!
