world.shopwarriorcats.com/collections/new-arrivals-1Some new arrivals have been added to the official store, once more two of them displaying mini designs in various options. This time it's clothing, specifically hoodies. That one (available in shades pumpkin pie and heather grey) kind of reminds me of a college hoodie and features Firestar as his mini design surrounded by the Warrior Cats logo and the year 2003 getting displayed as well (which is likely in regards to the upcoming 20th Anniversary of Warriors seeing as the first book got released in that year): There's four new hoodie designs in total (not counting the different color options) though. Yet another one with mini designs (*sigh*) and two with more simple designs. As far as I could tell on the instagram post announcing the first hoodie, most people on there are also fed up with seeing those designs pop up and be used all over again instead of them coming up with something else. Really hoping they actually see that most fans are not excited about the overusage of mini designs and that the team who is in charge of creating these will change their overall approach of reusing them so frequently.

I'm baffled by the mini one, why pair up cats that have nothing to do with one another, or very minimally, Leafpool (I think?), Jayfeather....I have no idea who the yellow eye'd cat could be, Cinderpelt???, Yellowfang or Shadowsight, and for whatever reason Brightheart..What do these characters have to do with one another, is it that hard or difficult to pair up proper cats with one another? Why not Spottedleaf, Yellowfang, Cinderpelt, Leafpool, Jayfeather then Alderheart at least you can look at it and go "Pairs make sense" but come on, not to mention yet another edition of the minis
Scratch TC is eh, not a fan of $50 minimal design shirts/hoodies, whatnot, though the Korean text one is actually really really cool and I wouldn't mind getting that

I'm baffled by the mini one, why pair up cats that have nothing to do with one another, or very minimally, Leafpool (I think?), Jayfeather....I have no idea who the yellow eye'd cat could be, Cinderpelt???, Yellowfang or Shadowsight, and for whatever reason Brightheart.. What do these characters have to do with one another, is it that hard or difficult to pair up proper cats with one another? Why not Spottedleaf, Yellowfang, Cinderpelt, Leafpool, Jayfeather then Alderheart at least you can look at it and go "Pairs make sense" but come on, not to mention yet another edition of the minis Scratch TC is eh, not a fan of $50 minimal design shirts/hoodies, whatnot, though the Korean text one is actually really really cool and I wouldn't mind getting that That first cat on the Mini Eyes hoodie is actually Mudclaw. Considering that Leafpool has not been made into an actual mini yet unlike him. The next one is Jayfeather, then beside him is Tigerstar, followed by Cinderpelt, Yellowfang and finally Brightheart. I highly doubt they would create and showcase mini designs for characters which haven't even been made into proper mini figures yet. But yeah, throwing random cats together on a hoodie just seems weird tbh. They could have instead put Tigerstar and three of his kits on a hoodie considering Tawnypelt, Mothwing and Hawkfrost have minis of themselves already as well. Or just Cinderpelt and Brightheart since they're sisters and were also in a set together. Another better idea would be putting Tigerstar and Firestar on a hoodie with each other considering they're each others nemesis. Yeah, the Korean one is pretty nice and the Scratch TC one has a big logo version of the small patch on the front on the back of it so it's not that minimal imo. |

Just checked and yup, he sure does. So I'm not sure what exactly made me think it was Mudclaw instead of Firestar except that I'd most likely just forgotten he had those torn ears, whoops. |

This is just sad. I'd rather go on Etsy or Redbubble and use that money to support an artist that actually put time and effort into the design.

All the dang molds look the exact same LOL I don't get why they didn't give them any color, "Yeah lets darken all the characters so no one can actually recognize them" I mean, thankfully the actual molds for the minis are starting to show more variety in terms of expressions and poses as of Cinderpelt in Series 2 with her strange "hug/ push away" pose (still not sure which one it's really supposed to be), then Ashfur from the Series 3 wave with his "narrowed eyes and lifted paw" combo and finally Darkstripe from the newest Series 4 Minis with the same pose as Ashfur but at least the six cats from that new launch all had different approaches in terms of fur shaping designs instead of the same old combination of featuring at least two cats in each launch with that generic expressionless look on their face/in their eyes combined with the short fur and body facing forward combo (examples of this are the minis for Firestar, Jayfeather, Sandstorm, Scourge and Mudclaw). I personally did recognize all the cats on the new hoodie design eventually after some initial short amount of time spent with squinting at them in confusion (except for Firestar at first whom I thought was Mudclaw because the only differences between their minis who are from the same mold is the coloring of their pelt/eyes and Mudclaw having torn ears and scars unlike the Firestar mini design). |

I'm glad the minis are starting to have variation, I know there's been some issues with them in terms of quality, I think Mapleshade stands out the most since she's different compared to the base??? I could be wrong though, trying to remember off the top of my head |
