-- I'm shocked to see that Riverclan finally has a protag, and excited! I have already read the River book of course, and many emotions were mixed into the pot.. But I have a question that might create and spread theories.. Where is our Star in Riverclan? What I am meaning is that will we have a leader in Riverclan? Will the cats fight to take over? yeah! It's super cool we finally get a POV in a new clan. RiverClan's been missing out on the action for a long time now. I've been hearing some people say that they think there might be a civil war in RC, which would be very interesting. I myself am hoping for Icewing to become leader. I think Splashtail is killing cats to try and become leader though, idk he seems very suspicious to me. It makes me wonder if it's due to the code changes. Have you read Sky yet? Which is the book after River (and the second book in the ASC arc). Because a few more things are revealed there such as the Gathering scene you mentioned as well as a very interesting ending scene situation for RiverClan and our other two protagonists besides Frostpaw. I personally think there was a group of cats in RiverClan who conspired to kill Reedwhisker (even saw a theory somewhere else though which suggested that they even might have either poisoned Mistystar or made her have what appeared to be a heart attack on purpose although I'm not sure that's possible or is what happened to her). Among them, I currently suspect Duskfur as the ringleader and Splashtail as a follower who might want to gain more power (both in that group but also RiverClan). Curlfeather also definitely knew something about what happened to Reedwhisker. Although I doubt that her own mother (Duskfur) had something to do with her death even if it seemed as though the dogs who killed Curlfeather possibly got lured to her and her daughter Frostpaw (our awesome first ever main series RiverClan protagonist) on purpose by someone.
As for possible leadership suggestions, I'm hoping for Splashtail to seize power and become a temporary villainous (or at least morally gray) leader before being overthrown and then for Frostpaw to be revealed as the true leader for RiverClan. Or Mothwing. But something tells me Mothwing won't make it that far and that her death scene has possibly already been written. Perhaps I'll be wrong about that though, we'll see. |

I’m also very excited for a RC protagonist! I’m not really sure who would be leader, but if anyone has leader ideas quote me. I had wanted Icewing for a while but I think Frostpaw ending up as leader would be really cool. I also like Dreamcloud’s idea of Splashtail being leader temporarily. |

Having frostpaw as leader isn’t most likely gonna happen, but I wish it could. It would be interesting to see a medicine cat leader or former medicine cat leader. |
