She's such a frustrating character to read about. She complains about the new territory, complains about the Clan having mixed blood in Po3, and is literally the reason why Longtail died. She's useless and annoying, and I'm glad she dies in TLH.
I'm not looking for a debate, I don't care if she's an elder, she is annoying.

I love Mousefur, although I was admittedly quite mad at her when she caused Longtail's death. I feel like she punished herself enough for that mistake, though.

I like Mousefur overall, but I am always surprised when people frame the whole “calling a Clan meeting” thing as some sort of badass girlboss move when the whole reason she did it was to complain about ThunderClan becoming too “mixed”, specifically about Stormfur and Brook, and Daisy and her kits, being allowed to join.

I find it funny that she complains about it in front of Firestar of all cats. Especially when I think the result of that meeting was one of the few times Firestar ever lost his cool about a subject. Mousefur just reminds me of an old boomer who thinks all change is inherently bad. |

Anyways, I actually like Mousefur because I think she served a purpose like Dustpelt did in that she openly questioned Firestar's authority (though never to the point of outright insubordination), but still respects him even if she doesn't always agree with his leadership decisions. I also really liked her as an elder because she had a personality and was rather snarky and rude, but deep down still a good-hearted character. She felt like one of the more fleshed-out background cats.
As for Longtail's death, she does have some blame in that indirectly, but shouldering the grief and dealing with survivor's guilt for a few years over it feels like she atoned for it, imo. Longtail isn't even mad at her for it and doesn't blame her either.

That was just Mousefur's job as ThunderClan's resident more conservative character (together with Dustpelt). I'm overall neutral on her but do like that she at least had a personality unlike so many of the modern ThunderClan background cardboards these days.

I honestly agree. She is interesting to read about in Arc 2, but from Arc 3 she becomes much more annoying and boring.
Erin did a bad job with her character. Unlike Longtail who turned into a wise cat, Mousefur became worse

I love her! I always thought Mousefur's grumpiness and snarkyness is quite funny. She is a good warrior and died bravely. I was so sad when she died in TLH though.

I thought she was funny at times. When I think of her, I think of that scene in Long Shadows when Jayfeather's trying to give her medicine. What a grumpy cat. lol
