"After the sharp-eyed Jay and the roaring Lion, peace will come on Dove's gentle wing." The Fourh Apprentice got released today 13 years ago on November 24th 2009 as the first book of the fourth arc titled Omen of the Stars. The second cover for this book came out a few years later and this new cover even depicted the drought which played such a big part during the actual novel unlike the original one. "...But you have their friendship. And that is a loyalty that never dies." In the same year on the same day, Shattered Peace also got published. It's the first entry for the Ravenpaw's Path trilogy of Graphic Novels and later got reprinted fully colorized.

Happy anniversary! Time flies. I love the second cover for TFA so much- the hazy yellow-green makes such a good color, and especially good for conveying the drought.

Happy 13th anniversary! I remember TFA being one of the very first Warriors books I had ever read.

This was the newest Warriors book when I first started the series. The old cover will always be my favorite because it's more nostalgic to me, but the new one isn't bad either. I own Shattered Peace. I still haven't read Ravenpaw's Path in color yet...I wonder how different it'd be to read it in color. I still think it's really cool that James went back and colored in his older works. Kinda wish the Sasha and Scourge comics got that treatment too.I still have high hopes that they will indeed either release a fully colored version of Tigerstar and Sasha or even let James L. Barry redraw the whole thing in his style someday. Not sure about The Rise of Scourge needing a color update though since the black and white drawings give it that actual manga vibe imo. The recent Warrior Cats Team Q&A in which they mentioned wanting to focus on Graphic Novels instead of more novellas also makes me think there might be something planned in relation to at least the TaS GN. Perhaps even having to do with the upcoming 20th Anniversary of the Warriors series for next year. Especially because I think they are not just referring to the A Thief in ThunderClan Graphic Novel coming out in 2023 since we not only already know about this but also had the pattern of colored GNs once a year for three years now (starting with ASiR in 2020, WoC in 2021 and EfSH in 2022).

my Facebook (lol) reminded me of this - I was so excited back then!! Time flies so fast and I feel so old. I remember the cover reveal and all the theories on who would be the fourth - Ivypaw or Dovepaw. It's incredible how vivid it feels to me. Geez!

I would LOVE for the Tigerstar and Sasha novels to be colored as a 20th anniversary surprise! I'm oddly fond of how they look now, it's charming in an unusual way. But it would be neat to see them redrawn too.
