This poll got posted on the official Warrior Cats website a few hours ago and since the topic is interesting while also directly related to the newest book release Sky, I thought sharing it on here for discussion purposes might be fun.
Had to change the wording of the third and fourth voting options because of the limited writing space.
My vote went to the third option, although I do understand that RiverClan wanted to clear up this matter by themselves and appear strong to the other Clans instead of admitting to a weakness. Feels like it had to do with a mix of pride and their previous isolation approach to situations which might still be a lasting effect from time of Mistystar's leadership. Just a thought.
But either why, it's not their fault Tigerstar decided to copy his grandpa and take over. Not blaming them for that.
