Question because I'm confused: Is Nightheart supposed to be a teenager?
I've often see people calling him a teenager, but I thought he was an adult?
Or am I just interpreting things wrong

he is a little over one year old i think?
if 12 months is like 15 years old in human years, and 18 months (1 year and 6 months) is like around 21 in human years, then if nightheart is 1 year and 3 months old, he is in between there, so he could be 19/20.
but i think mostly people say he's a teen bc he ACTS like one (an edgy angsty teen/young adult who is trying to figure himself out)

He's a young adult cat who still acts like a teenager. I'm actually someone who initially thought he was one as well up until remembering that he was born back in SqH. Fingers crossed that he gets good character development in the upcoming ASC books.

No. Warrior cats seems to think that unless they got their name early, all the cats with warrior names are adults. Hence Nightheart already considering becoming a mate with another adult.

The decision to apprentice at 6 moons was specifically made so that they would be roughly the same size and "stand a fighting chance", although its said that very new apprentices still aren't quite battle ready. Therefore I would say the apprentice ceremony happens at around 14-16 in human years.
Given that warriors are pretty much all considered full adults, I kind of see apprentices being made warriors at 20-24 in human years, as at 25 is when most brains have fully finished developing. In canon we see that apprenticeship times drastically vary, so I think notably early warrior ceremonies like Firestar happened at 18/19, and later ceremonies like Crookedjaw and Nightheart to be at 25 or 26.
