Lakepaw-Camp-Emberflight
Lakepaw shook her head, to her mentor's question. She hadn't learned much about Emberflight's family, and often never tried to ask about it, feeling it wasn't her place to. Settling beside her mentor, watching her, as the she cat continued on. Waiting for more to be said, not wanting to interrupt the older she cat's story.

Quietrun-Camp-Leopardpaw
Giving a soft chuckle to her excitement, he nodded his head. "Sure, let's do some hunting training," he said to her. Flicking his tail, as he gave his fur a few quick licks to it. "Want to head out now?" He knew a few good places where squirrels would be in the morning, and if she wanted to try catch one, he wanted to make that possible for her. The tom watched her with amusement, he remembered being just as eager as her when he had been an apprentice.

Giving a purr at the other's agreement she shifted to get into a more comfortable laying position before continuing on with the conversation. "I always imagined myself using something like Rarekit if I ever had my own litter of kits so. And Dappledkit would be the perfect name for a girl really. I could think of so many great names they could end up with later on in life." One of the things Vanillacloud enjoyed to do was a game in which she tried to guess what name a certain kit or apprentice would end up with as a warrior.

The tom gave a nod, his sister finally moving to sit up as well. "I can take Coldpaw along and then I'll probably ask Quietrun and Leopardpaw to come along as well." He shook put his fur and gave a stretch before he turned to pad over to the apprentices den to find his aforementioned one. Before padding off though he stopped and looked over his shoulder at the deputy. "Also, I would recommend taking Omenfrost with you if you're going out somewhere more dangerous to look for more herbs as well. They're size comes in handy after all."

"Very true," Snowydove piped up from next to him, a smile on her face. "They're also the best to be near during this cold, they have so much fur that you can nestle into it and keep warm." She gave a light chuckle at her own comment and then the two siblings turned to walk over to the apprentices den.

Stopping in front of the den Ashenbravery poked his head inside, glancing around for his apprentice. "Coldpaw? Are you in here? I need you to join me for a patrol."

The tom looked up when the other apprentice approached him, giving a nod and following their tracks in the snow back over to the log and plants in question. Leaning down to look inside he gave a happy puff and set his bundle of herbs down. "Fantastic. you found a good bit of coltsfoot. You can always tell it apart from the weed that looks similar by the thicker, more brown hued stalks." Reaching into the log with one paw he began to use his claws to neatly cut off the flowers, dragging them closer when he had a few of them and soon enough he had collected all of the mature blooms. "Great find. I think we have enough for both of us to carry right now. We can head back out again later if needed. Omenfrost may need you for training or something after all." As he spoke he split the herbs into two equal size bundles now and picked up one of them.

The tom had been sleeping when his mentor called out for him, the sound of his name waking him with a start as his head shot up and he looked around wildly. Spotting the source of the sound he calmed down a bit, though his anxiety stayed of course, and he moved to get up. Shaking the moss off his calico hued fur he gave a big stretch before turning to exit the den. "Hello Muddyshrike." His voice was a little shaky, as was customary of the tom with how nervous he was on a daily and how low his confidence in himself was, the tom not even managing to make eye contact with the other.

The tom frowned slightly, his tail giving a flick behind him as well. "I'm not so sure you're well enough just yet actually. That cough sounds pretty harsh and we don't want you getting more sick." He approached them and placed his tail tip on the other's shoulder once near enough. "But don't worry. We'll find something else that you can do, just maybe a little closer to camp." Thinking long and hard he gained a single idea. "Perhaps you could go look in the hollow logs around the outside edge of camp for any cobwebs or mouse bile? I'm sure the medicine cats wouldn't mind as long as you don't stray too far znd don't over exert yourself." He wanted to give them at least something to do, knowing how hard it could be to just sit around and wait to get better, he'd had his own bout of greencough as an apprentice after all.

"Go right ahead, it was an idea for you to use after all." She gave a small smile before a yawn broke the expression, the cold weather and the pain in her leg making her tired more than usual lately. "I'm kind of feeling up for a nap right about now. I'd hate to cut our conversation short though and leave you with no one to speak with."


Omenfrost-Warriors Den->Camp- With Shininglight
The large bodied maine coon she-cat looked over as she heard the deputy call her name. She had been awake for a while now but had yet to get up, providing her large body as warmth to any who had still been sleeping. Seeing she was needed though she stood up, carefully traversing her way through the nests and out of the den before shaking a few strands of moss from her black fur. "Morning Shininglight, what do you need?" With her large size she was looking down at the other and stood a few steps back so as to not seem quite as imposing.


Cloverpaw-Herb Grove-With Twilightpaw
His ears perked and he set down the bundle of herbs. "I didn't see any vines but there's few enough here that we should be good carrying them back as they are. Just be careful not to talk too much or else you might accidentally swallow a couple." With that he picked his bundle back up and began to lead the way back to the camp, being careful of the snow as it could hide drifts or holes and he didn't wanna step into either of those.

The young tom flicked his tail, as his ears pulled back in disappointment. He was dying to do something, but he quickly perked up when his mentor said he could still leave, as long as he looked close to camp. "I will," he said. "If I start feeling worse while I'm out I'll return to camp and rest." He wanted something to do, and if his mentor was willing to let him do something, even if it was small, cheered him up. "You stay safe though where you are going though."

Delphi-Nursery-Vanillacloud
The queen smiled t the other cat. "Thank you," she said. She wanted to express her gratitude a bit more, but seeing the other's exhaustion she shook her head. "Not at all, you need rest, I might try get some myself." She gave a smile to Vanillacloud. "And if I can't I can always head out into the camp, it might be good for to stretch my legs from time to time after all." She hadn't gone out much, with her shorter legs making it difficult to navigate through the snow.

Shininglight-Camp-Omenfrost
"I'm organizing patrolsto look for herbs. Ashenbravery is leading one to the Herb Grove and I'm leading the other to the twolegplace," she explained to her. "I was wondering if you would like to attend the one to the twolegplace, as you will be a great help." She wouldn't force the other to join, should she desire to join the other patrol however, they had plenty of other cats on the larger side that could aid in posing a threat with their size. "So far for the one heading with me is Emberflight and her apprentice. Ashenbravery has his sister, and looks like he is going to be taking Quietrun and his apprentice with."

Twilightpaw gave a nod to his words, carefully taking the herb bundle into her mouth. Following him back to the camp, watching where he stepped and followed in his tracks, as they seemed like the safest options to take, then trying to guess where to place her paws in the snow. When they returned to the camp, she spotted heer mentor with the deputy, her ear flicking in thought.

Lakepaw settled into the snow, looking to her paws, her ears pulled back. Part of her wanted to go back to the nursery and snuggle up to her mother till she felt better, but she couldn't do that much anymore, she needed to grow up from that little kit views. Hearing her brother's voice she glanced off to the side where Coldpaw was talking with Ashenbravery.

Omenfrost gave a shake of her head at the question. "Not that I could tell. This weather has everyone tired." Spotting Twilightpaw out o the corner of her eye she flicked her tail as a gesture for the apprentice to come closer. "Hey Twilightpaw, we're gonna be joining Shininglight, Emberflight, and Lakepaw for a patrol. We're headed over to the two-leg place to look for some herbs."

The tom gave a smile and nodded, his sister doing the same beside him. "We'll all gather up in just a few so be ready to get up and go." He glanced around before turning back to Quietrun. "Actually, we could just head out now. I wanted to figure out one more warrior to go with but I figure us three and Leopardpaw should be plenty and I don't think nay others are up and moving around just yet."

The tom nodded to the molly as she left, flicking his tail in farewell before busying himself with the herbs. He laid out the ones that needed to dry first before turning to add the rest to their respective store places, his ears falling back in worry at the sight of just how low they were on most of their store.

Goldenstorm had been wanting to go out hunting all day so far but didn't wish to go alone. Sitting in camp they began to get antsy and so scented the air, picking out different scents until she caught one scent of a clanmate alone, going around the camp. Recognizing the scent as Redfur she stood and easily walked over, her sightlessness not effecting her as she knew every inch of the camp well. "Hello Redfur. How are you doing today? Would you care to join me for a hunt?"

The molly gave a nod. "I get that. It's awful that all of this is going around. I'm just glad I haven't caught it yet." She turned awaye from the other as she spoke, leading the way over to the entrance to camp and pushing her way through and into the forest beyond. Taking a moment she let the scents and sensations of the woods fall over her. "Alright, where should we try hunting?" She asked after a few moments.

"Oh, good idea. Maybe we can find some sea birds while were at it. I really like them, they're meat has the slightest sweetness to it in my opinion." She gave a smile. "Plus they're easier for me to hunt since I can hear and scent them better than a fish."

Goldenstorm followed on the way through the woods, knowing where to step and where not to by sound, instinct, amd a heavy reliance on her tail and whiskers. She knew how to navigate well and in a little whiles time they had finally recahed the edge of the territory and exited onto the west end of the beach. The soft, slightly warm sand underpaw was soothing as the warrior stepped onto it, her jaws opening to take in the scents around her and her ears lerking to listen for anything.

They caught the sound of a couple seabirds on the beach several foxlengths away from her and the wind was luckily filled with the overpowering scent of the salt water. Moving closer with the sand muffling her footfalls and her senses on high alert she moved till she was as close as possible and blessed the ancestors tbat she had gained a large leaping radius as she pounced and sailed through the air. She caught one wing of one of the birds and the other took off as she wrestled the one to the sand, pinned it down, and then killed it with a quick bite to the neck. It was actually quite plump for the season.
