The molly gave a nod upon hearing what the mixture of herbs was as she shifted to get more comfortable once more. "With the cold here the fleas shouldn't get that bad, even if you did find one," she chuckled out after a moment. Turning her attention to Shininglight a more stern expression came across her face. "He is fine to go with to the two-leg place. Lightleaf will stay here to help out with any of the sick. Torntail knows these herbs best and with the confusing smells and other plants in two-leg place you'll need the one who knows them the best."

"I can understand that," the she-cat said to the idea of the name. A small purr rumbled in her throat as she heard how soon the kits were supposed to be coming. "I look forward to them really. The clan needs some hope right now and what brings that more than new life? I'm sure that no sick cats would be allowed near them so exposure would be low, especially since I barely leave the den right now as well and the only ones who really come in are the medicine cats or one of the apprentices to bring us food. They'll be perfectly safe and healthy. I also look forward to helping you out with them, if you ever need any help that is." Honestly the molly wished she herself had a litter of kits to care for again, a hole seeming to exist in her heart without the act of motherhood.

Cloverpaw led the way, stopping among the roots of a few trees along the way and brushing away snow now and then, searching steadily and intently. "I enjoy it. I don't believe I would make a good warrior and I prefer the calmness of the medicine cat den to the loudness of training anyways." He perked up as he uncovered a couple sprouts of borage, a smile coming to his face. "Just enough to give some to Delphi to help stimulate her milk when her kits come. Hopefully we can find some more though in case any extra is needed."

Muddyshrike is a large fluffy dark brown (chocolate) and white spotted tabby tom with leaf green eyes with a long tail, tufted ears, and an extra toe on each front paw. He has a scar that runs across his left shoulder to halfway down his side. He has a right torn ear, and a small nick on his left ear.

Muddyshrike can be a bit gruff at times, but he's a loyal and dedicated cat with a strong sense of right and wrong.

Leopardpaw is a rambunctious and playful cat who likes to tease others and thinks it's always in good fun whether with her friends or not.

Her frail beginnings had her starting her apprenticeship a moon and a half later than the other apprentices. "Either works," she said. "I'm still working to form them, but if you are taking Lakepaw I'd say go with Ashenbravery, it would be safer for her. I don't think you've taken her out to the twolegplace back, so she might get lost if she gets separated from you guys." She turned her gaze away to around the camp, to see who else was around as she spoke with the warrior. "But if you want you two can still go with the twolegplace patrol, I'll head keep her in line."

"Makes sense, you are talented with what ive seen," she said with a nod. "Do you have an idea what your full name will be?" She knew warrior training wasn't for everyone. "I'll go look over there," she said, pointing with her tail towards a tree close to where they were, that had roots shaped curving up, seeing the tom's excitement over the borage. "You said some could be under roots right?"

"Got it," she said, as she moved to the tree to check under the roots of the tree. Finding a few of the leaves that Cloverpaw had, while they still looked like they were trying to grow. "Should I leave these? Or should we take them in case we need them?" She looked to the medicine cat apprentice. "As for vines, I think we could go down to the beach? Even if vines out there we could try use seaweed to make the bundles?"

Delphi smiled at the pair, feeling more at ease by their words. The she cat seemed to be in higher spirits. "Thank you both," she said. "I'll try my best." She was happy the clan was welcoming to her, and was willing to aid her with her kits. "It must have been rough, how did you manage?" Turning her gaze briefly to the apprentice leaving the den, before back to Vanillacloud as she waited.

Lakepaw looked to her mother. "You did the best you could," she said. "We appreciate everything you did." Giving her mother a quick affectionate lick, she excused herself as she headed back out into camp, with the scraps of food to bury, so it was out of their way. She spotted her mentor talking with the deputy and started to head over.

"I never meant to imply you did, I just don't want us to lose anymore young cats then we already have," she said. "We've lost a lot of warriors and apprentices so we need to protect the ones we have living." She looked over as Lakepaw came up to them, flicking her tail in greeting. She looked back to Emberflight. "I'll work on the patrols and let you know who's going with each, if it makes it easier for you to choose which one you would like to join," she offered the warrior.

Lakepaw flicked her tail in slight annoyance. "I was bringing food to the queens like I'm supposed to do, and then I stayed to talk with my mom." She flicked her tail in thought. "Sounds alright, herbs are important right now. Do you think we will be able to find what could help Coldpaw?" She looked to her mentor hopefully.

The molly gave a purr and returned the affection, bidding her daughter farewell before turning back to Delphi. "I kind of just went with my instincts. I figured chewing their food into a pulp would help with feeding, I handled their bouts of agitation by just staying calm and soothing them, and I learned how to manage on sleeping in small intervals. I was always aware of where they were and what they were doing.

Cloverpaw padded over to look at the shoots, gauging their age and how far they were from being mature. "Let's leave them for now, they aren't ready to be picked. I'll keep this spot in mind and come back for them once they are. As for the beach, I don't think that's such a good idea right now. It's further than we need to be going and with there being so many sick cats I don't want to be away from camp for too long. There's a spot near the grove where we should be able to find at least a few good vines still."

Vanillacloud gave a light chuckle, shaking her head softly. "You'll gain the instincts once your kits are born. All mothers do... well, most of them do. The ones who don't are normally the ones who either don't want their kits or are just awful cats in general." She almost wanted to say like Shininglight but stopped herself. The molly was just so rude about Coldpaw and Lakepaw when she had brought them to her.

The tom gave a nod, storing the location in his memory with ease; having a photographic memory was one of the things he loved about himself. Padding on toward the grove he thought about the chances with the amount of snow that was on the ground and the temperature that seemed to be getting even lower. "Honestly, I don't know. The grove is probably gonna be pretty barren with how open to the elements it is. Most everything is probably already dead or frostbitten." The trees ahead finally began to thin and left then standing on the edge of the large clearing that was, in fact, barren. Snow glistened on the ground, undisturbed and glowing brightly in the sunlight.

The she-cat gave a small, sullen chuckle, her mood seeming to drop for a moment. "Well, my mother for one. She was a breeding cat so she didn't choose to have kits, it was just expected of her. We were all taken from her upon reaching eight weeks and then given to other two-legs in exchange for this weird green stuff that they used to exchange for lots of other things too. Some cats just aren't meant to be parents." She perked back up after she had finished. "Anyways, I turned out fine either way and your kits will turn out great as well because they're going to have a fantastic mom."

"It's always worth looking. So, we should check around any rocks or hollow logs in the clearing since those would give at least some protection and then among the roots of the trees that border the clearing as well." After giving her the instructions in headed off to check among the tree roots, thinking that those would be their best bet. It was a slow moving process of moving away he snow carefully to check for any growth beneath and once he was a quarter of the way around his paws felt so frozen he thought of giving up until suddenly he swiped away some snow and in front of was a small cluster of bright white flowers with large yellow centers and his ears perked up in happiness. "I found feverfew. I can't believe it! This'll help the sick cats for sure." His spirits now lifted by the presence of the herb her began to carefully collect the mature flowers and the few that were slightly wilting, hoping they were still good enough for use.

(I also plan on them finding a single poppy flower among a cluster of stones in the field and then a bundle of coltsfoot hidden underneath a hollow log that has merged into the ground as well and so the plants are growing from the ground inside the log. You can have Twilightpaw find either one and call Clover over to see what the herb is since I don't know if she knows what the herbs are)

Twilightpaw gave a nod to him, flicking her tail. "I'll check that side," she said gesturing with her tail. "May Oasisclan guide you," she said, hoping that calling on their ancestors would bring good luck to them in trying to find herbs. She headed off to search on the side she had chosen, checking in places that Cloverpaw mentioned to check, as she moved to look among the roots of trees to start out.

"I'm sorry," she apologized to the other cat. She knew of the green stuff, witnessing it enough times when she won cat shows, and her housefolk seeming more interested in that then her. But she never voiced her complaints, not like they would understand her anyways. "Twolegs are weird, even being a kittypet, I never understood some of the things they did." Shaking out her head, as she adjusted how she was in her nest. "Do you have any other ideas for names though?"

Lakepaw gave a nod, as she settled onto the ground. Hoping that they would leave soon, as she wanted to get out of the camp and help look for herbs. "How will we know what herbs are useful," she asked looking at her mentor. She looked around the camp, as she watched the deputy talking with two other warriors, her tail flicking as she thought. "Do you think we will lose more cats though..." Thinking back to what the deputy had said, not liking the idea that Coldpaw could die from the disease.

sorry for how long these took, was alot more busy this thanksgiving weekend then anticipated, and it sapped my muse for the most part)

"Two-legs are definitely extremely weird. I much prefer living here among the clan." She gave a smile, remembering when she had first come to the clan and what she had gone through to prove herself. those trials were harder than they seemed. Live wasn't on her side though and she made that one mistake while fighting that fox and... well look at her now. A cripple. Pushing that thought away she focused on Delphi's next question, thinking for a few moments. "Hm. I feel like Rarekit would be nice for a she-cat, or maybe something strong and regal for a tom like Harpykit? Harpy eagles are quite a sight to see after all."

The tom held the newly picked feverfew carefully in his jaws as he turned to look around for Twilightpaw, spotting her on the other side of the clearing also looking among the tree roots. Deciding to try somewhere different the tom padded forward into the large clearing that was normally teeming with life, the snow crunching underpaw as he approached a lump in the snow and brushed it away. Underneath he found a pile of stones but sadly nothing among them. Continuing on he searched any lumps he found, finding a couple branches and another pile of rocks before he managed to find a single, pale purple poppy flower among the stones and he brightened up once more. Maybe Oasisclan was looking out for them. Setting down his current collection of herbs he leaned down to neatly snip off the stalk about half way down before adding it into the bundle and picking it back up, setting back to his search.


Ashenbravery and Snowydove-Camp-With Shininglight
The tom looked up from where he had been placing another feather into his sister's tail fur when he heard his name mentioned, turning his gaze to the molly as she approached and giving a smile. "Good morning Shininglight. I wouldn't mind at all. Snowydove can even come along too. The more cats searching the better the chance after all. Unless you have a different patrol you need her for of course." the tom sat up and shook his fur, the feathers firmly staying in place despite the movement though and the tom happy for it. He enjoyed sharing that marker with his sister since the two only really had each other.

Snowydove looked up as well, giving the deputy a small smile as well as she continued to lay down, not feeling like getting up at that moment. "Oh yeah, I wouldn't mind going with. Could also look for some prey while we're out. We went hunting earlier but you can never have enough prey during leaf-bare." She gave a yawn, her maw opening as she did before she turned onto her side and stretched her legs out beside her, shaking with the force of the stretch before moving back to her previous laying down position.
