Once again, like with the initial ear sneak peek, the new Series 4 minis already got showcased on the official Warrior Cats instagram page of which the reveal post got shared on here too in another thread. But still, an article featuring the news on the official website got posted as well just now. warriorcats.com/content/article/first-look-at-new-warriors-minis Alongside this newest shop release tomorrow is also a restock of a few previous mini releases (the so called "fab favorites" of the first three mini series figurine sets) including the sets of Firestar and Leafstar, Squirrelflight and Scourge, and Ravenpaw and Sandstorm. Are Hawkfrost's eyes blue? I can't tell from this pic.

Are Hawkfrost's eyes blue? I can't tell from this pic. Bluestar's design is lovely, I really like the attention to detail in hers. <3 Hawkfrost's eyes do appear to look more pale-teal looking in this pic than his actual ice-blue canon ones. Especially directly compared to Bluestar's blue eyes in the same photo who has been described to also have ice-blue eyes in past books. But perhaps that's just due to the lighting situation going on. I'm sure there will be yet another set of pics once the Series 4 minis launch on the store today. And who knows how the different lighting will make them look like there. Totally agree with you that Bluestar looks awesome, she's my personal favorite in this new lineup! |

I am so confused why they included Darkstripe but still no Hollyleaf. Who wanted a Darkstripe? I know it was probably because they were capitalizing off of TPB nostalgia but really? Darkstripe of all cats? Why not someone like Whitestorm or something
Design wise, I like all of them. I think Crookedstar might be my favorite though. I love how fuzzy he looks!

I am so confused why they included Darkstripe but still no Hollyleaf. Who wanted a Darkstripe? I know it was probably because they were capitalizing off of TPB nostalgia but really? Darkstripe of all cats? Why not someone like Whitestorm or something Design wise, I like all of them. I think Crookedstar might be my favorite though. I love how fuzzy he looks! I saw someone on tumblr theorize that Darkstripe was either included due to both the nostalgic factor of him being a first arc cat and because he appeared in a more recent arc and book (TBC: TPoNS as well as ALitM where he got double killed by Firestar) or it might have to do with him possibly getting some material written about him soon. I personally think it's the first option of him being a nostalgia character/his final appearance in ALitM rather than Darkstripe getting a whole book to himself anytime soon. There's no way he's getting an SE in 2024 (the 2023 one already got Riverstar as the confirmed lead) and the GN for next year has Brightheart confirmed as the protagonist. A Darkstripe novella could have been a possibility if it weren't for the fact that there was just a Warriors Hub Story Team Q&A where they said to not have any plans to write a novella set for 2023 so that cannot be the reason either. Maybe him getting a mini now might indicate he will show up in ATiTC. Although that depends on where this GN takes place timeline-wise since it would then have to be the old forest territories when Darkstripe was still alive. At least that's my own (most likely wrong) theory on him having gotten a mini this year. Considering that Brightheart looked lowkey pregnant in that one panel revealed on James L. Barry's instagram post, this theory of mine could already be considered debunked anyways. But oh well. |
