I'm bored and drunk, this is all off the top of my head, saturday night partying boyz.
In all honesty, who the actual [Oops! Keep language forum safe!] hell made the medicine cat code? Well, I haven't read Moth Flight's vision yet but who ever made it is a dumb friggin idiot.
In the code:
1. A medicine cat may not fall in love or take a mate.
2. A medicine cat may not have kits.
^^^ THIS, is directly asking for all sorts of trouble that could possibly happen. (which also gives "interesting" plot which got boring after the first few times)
Whoever made this part of the code, probably a "medicine cat" has next to no idea how nature works. Unless you rid the cat completely of its hormones, kind of impossible to completely rid a cat of desires and other [Oops! Keep language forum safe!].
We all know what happens when these kind of rules are implemented, some random little [Oops! Keep language forum safe!] breaks it because LOOVVVEEE <3. We all know what happened to Anakin Skywalker in star wars and a lot of other stories and media. There's always little [Oops! Keep language forum safe!] that can't control their own [Oops! Keep language forum safe!] or their desires.
There actually is a form of "healer" that we have not seen any problems with yet. Guessed it? The Stonetellers.
The Mountain Tribe got it right. The biggest reason why stonetellers are better is because they have no identity. Their name is stoneteller, nothing else. No name. No feelings. No emotion. No desires. No identity. There is only your duty.
If all medicine cats were bound to these rules and this way of thinking, I think there would be next to no problems with medicine cats and possible forbidden relationships. Who the hell would want to date a cat that doesn't have an identity?
All that aside, people might think that it would be too difficult for the cat. Well, the very very very important role of medicine cat ain't for wusses ya know? We want strong-willed and determined cats to take on the role. Not some [Oops! Keep language forum safe!] who just goes like "hmmm, I wanna be a medicine cat cuz it is kewl!!1!"
If you're sooo determined to have your medicats a personality (terrible idea) then have at least two of them fully trained, this way there would still be one medicat doing the job full time while the other one is off having kids.
If the medicine cat is just so unable to let go of her past, then have StarClan do it for them. I don't see why the medicine cat couldn't do it, some of the stonetellers did it, why not our medicine cats.
Sorry if I sound insane, have a goodnight.
