No one to be honest. But especially not Finleap after how he treated her when she did not want kits and him being jealous because she dared to get along with Tree in TRS. Big yikes to him acting like that. Twigbranch just deserves way better than him imo.

Don't know Twigbranch and her relations enough but uhhh, from what I know about Finleap I'd definitely prefer her being single, that one moment where he threatened her that he'll leave if she doesn't wanna have kits is a big red flag, girl you can do better then that

Between him being a gem in literally every book before TRS and him being a gem in literally every book after TRS, I just chalk his TRS incel phase up to the Erins looking at every other protag in the final book and realizing Twigbranch didn't have as much going on, so they randomly made her boyfriend a ****ing Redditor for exactly one book to create some conflict in her POV.

As much as I dislike Twigbranch, they had a rather mature talk for this series and have remained a nice couple ever since. They are a couple I do prefer to be childless as both of their siblings already have kits of their own in SkyClan and that is enough for both of their lineages. It would also be an instance of a former main series pov character never having kits with a living mate.
