I'm so tired of all these relationship dramas and love triangles, especially in the recent books. We've had like three love triangles this past year, still a lot of Bramble and Squilf relationship problems, heck TBC was all based on a love triangle. All this "will they, won't they" romances, all that stuff that are either rushed or dragged. I want to see more friendship dramas like Sunbeam and Lightleap but of course, they turned it into a love triangle drama.

I enjoyed the family drama of the LeafCrow litter with Breezepelt and the TawnyRowan litter a lot! I wanna see more of this, family drama not just romance drama

I find it so obscure and odd that despite the series not being at all good with romance it continues to have romance as one of its main priorities, how do you people live /j
In all seriousness though, I'd honestly much prefer actual friendship dramas because all of the protagonists after Firestar more or less just stopped having friends, people are so hungry for actual friendships that people remember Cody of all characters because she became friends with Leafpaw(pool), and the protagonists always seemed so outcast from their clan in a literal way like, outside of a barebones romantic relationship you don't really see protags become friends or allies with those around them (Take this with a grain of salt, all of this is from wiki-ing and other people's opinions) From what I've seen protags if even LUCKY get a single friend that isn't a romantic interest
Remember guys/gals/those in-between or everything, you can't be friends nono the moment you make eye-contact with someone you're essentially married at that point
Edit: Rivalries are also great, please I beg for more pettiness, Lionpaw and Berrypaw were rivals I think? Not to mention Firepaw was rivals with Tigerclaw and his crew, please I'm sinking girl I want my kitties to be more than cardboard cutouts

I’d love to just see some genuine connection and companionship between the protagonists and their fellow peers again!. The recent ones are so poorly written/lackluster and forgettable that Dovewing’s ability to form connections and communications skills during her arc are Grammy award-winning in comparison…… which isn’t a compliment by any means.
Dovewing is known for her horrendous communication skills. So for hers to shine in comparison to these later ones, means they seriously need to step up their game imo.

Yeah, this newest arc seems to focus a whole lot on exploring relationship drama both romantically and platonically (family feuds/friendships). Especially the now again ongoing tensions between BrambleSquirrel make me roll my eyes and see more fandom discourse to come out of it on the horizon as if we did not have enough of that already in the past few years regarding this pairing. Just break up already for all our sakes!
