the fact that he chose to do this right after the death of mistystar, one of the cats who suffered the most under tigerstar 1’s reign over riverclan, just makes this 20x more insulting ngl. the dudes gotta be the worst leader at the lake rn. hes so obsessed with using violence to solve his problems and cares more about his direct family than his own clan.

He's literally called out because he's acting like Tigerstar I by his mother of all cats too! He was upset at being compared to him and was hurt when Berryheart accused him of trying to invade. Yet in the very next chapter following that incident he's brought most of his Clan to "help" RiverClan and insists it's not a takeover. It's beyond infuriating.
