Was just wondering, who do people think is the best lake clan leader right now? All of them have their flaws, but some are probably better than others…
I like Mistystar and Leafstar as leaders, but I also have a general bias towards Bramblestar. The old ones are the best 👁👅👁
Despite the events of River and Sky in the new Starless Clan arc, I’m just going to include Mistystar as the “current leader” since there’s not really another one yet.

Harestar, only because I don’t care much for Skyclan in general and Leafstar’s been leader for so long that it’s starting to bore me a bit. I like Harestar as a fresh slate.

Is there a more specific reason why you believe Leafstar is the best leader? You're not asking me but I'd like to answer anyway: she's usually quite calm (and only gets angry for quite reasonable things). She's very logical and is good at persuading others using the voice of reason. I'll be honest, I didn't care much for her at first, especially not when she first appeared in Firestar's Quest. I found her kind of boring in SkyClan and the Stranger as well. However come Hawkwing's Journey, A Vision of Shadows, and The Broken Code, she's since really grown on me as a character. I like her a lot now, but I'd still like to see Hawkstar before Warriors finishes, and I would not mind if A Starless Clan was her final arc as a leader. She deserves to rest. |

Leafstar, all the other leaders are either boring or annoying to me lolz edit SKY SPOILERS I don't like bramblestar but I have to agree he's gotten much more interesting since ASC started. |

Leafstar easily.
Funny, I used to absolutely hate her and find her incompetent as a leader. But after HJ and AVOS I grew to absolutely love and respect her. She's been through hell and back, but managed to keep her Clan together on their journey to the lake.

Leafstar. I started loving her in SkyClan's Destiny, and I still love her now. Bramblestar has become interesting to me after the beginning of ASC, so I'm enjoying him. I still don't understand Harestar's character, so I can't really comment on him. Tigerstar is definitely interesting, but I don't really feel strongly about him. And to be honest, I was getting tired of Mistystar so I'm glad she kicked the bucket lol. I definitely agree with this! Leafstar really has developed as a character and leader. I didn’t think very much of her in Firestar’s SD, but lately I’ve had a newfound respect for what she does and how she thinks. Idk why, but my brain always thinks that Mistystar and Leafstar are really similar, so I always group em together XD And kinda like what you said, I think Bramblestar has become very interesting.Thing is, I’m also a major fan of his, so I may be biased 😭 but I feel like we always see Bramblestar as a leader at his lowest points. Like even AVoS he didn’t seem that fantastic. I don’t want to compare him to Firestar, but it felt like the authors were always giving him great, leaderish moments. We saw those from Bramble when he led the cats on the sun-drown journey and as deputy, which I will forever cherish him for, but as leader, sometimes it feels like he lost what made him such a great leader when he was a young cat. Maybe it’s because the most we saw Bramblestar in the spotlight was when he was possessed and it’s aftermath… |

Leafstar without any contest. Tigerstar is the worst one right now but especially as of the Sky ending. Bramblestar just seems done for in terms of his current state of mind and I really hope he can retire peacefully from his leadership position to the elders den either during or by the end of ASC. Harestar has nothing to do or even done much in general overall ever since becoming leader except for getting killed once by Lionblaze in the previous arc. Mistystar was just not it for me ever since her novella came out.
