He knew her for a few seconds while she was alive and carried an infatuation that lasted a lifetime. When I heard that she was killed off so Firestar didn’t have to choose in StarClan, I almost screamed.

Should not have been reciprocated by Spottedleaf, I think it’s awful and I feel kind of bad for Sandstorm (especially in Firestar’s Quest)

It's not even built up well, I didn't know she loved him till I got onto the internet(Because I skipped TNP). It's probably in the top 10 for worst warrior cat ships.

Similar to my feelings on Bramblestar x Squirrelflight:
While it sounds sad and romantic, the way it was executed (Spottedleaf and Firepaw hardly interacting in life, the way Spottedleaf continues to stalk Fireheart's dreams even extending to his grandchildren, the age gap, etc.) was creepy and annoying.
I think it would have been interesting if Spottedleaf had started visiting Fireheart in his dreams, actually talked with him instead of giving him vague messages, but by the end of the first arc, realized she should let Firestar go and be with Sandstorm. It kind of happened in FQ but she continued to lurk around his kits and his kits' kits...
So yeah dislike.

It'd be one thing if it was just a simple childish crush from Firepaw but seeing how Spottedleaf for whatever reason decided to reciprocate?? Is ew, not to mention how she casually gave some of the worse advice to his own daughter because "romance" is just awful, I also hate how they killed her off entirely because then "Firestar would have to pick between his childhood crush and the woman he had been with for 80% of his life and raised a family with" like damn, one hard decision to make

Dislike. I wrote one AU as a tween where FireSpotted happens after Spottedleaf survived Clawface and Fireheart got his warrior name but their canon relationship after she died pisses me off quite a lot due to how utterly disrespectful it was towards Sandstorm. And I don't even like FireSand as a canon ship either.
I will say this though, Spottedleaf did not have feelings for Firestar when he was still only an apprentice. She was even stated to not notice him much up until he helped Yellowfang. Her weird stalker tendency and his actual infatuation only started after she became a StarClan spirit and visited him in his dreams after he was named a warrior.
