To be honest, I like a lot of Jayfeather ships.
Jayfeather x Half Moon is my favorite, followed by Jayfeather x Briarlight, then Jayfeather x Poppyfrost, then Jayfeather x Cinderheart.

No one, but if I had to pick, I'm fine with him and Half Moon. I was never a fan of JayBriar, because doctor/patient relationships are strange to me, especially with how close Jayfeather's was with Briarlight since she needed more tending to than most. I never understood where Jayfeather x Poppyfrost came from? It always confused me, because I could have sworn Poppy was with Berry at the time they even had any meaningful interactions, and pregnant with kits?? Unless I've missed something. And JayFlame is weird considering they thought they were kin and were directly referenced several times in canon.

He's happy being single, and I don't think he would ever want that to change. |

jay x briar. i've said this many times, but whether it is romantic or platonic, i believe jay x briar always had the strongest connection and most genuine chemistry out of any of jayfeather's other ships.
if we're talking headcanons, i want to hc jayfeather as demisxual/demiromantic.

If I have to ship him with anyone it'd be Briarlight or Kestrelflight.
JayBriar is actually canon in one of my AUʼs I just love their dynamic a lot.
They work both as friends and as romantic partners for me.

Voted Poppyfrost, because I hate Half Moon and Jayfeather and I prefer him and Briarlight as platonic friends, but really I strongly prefer single (and aroace) Jayfeather

I definitely want to see more aromantic or at least never being shown to care about romance characters in the series, but I feel uncomfortable with headcanoning Jayfeather in particular as this due to the whole forced medicine cat thing, it's like "the cat we forced into a job that requires celibacy conveniently isn't interested in anyone anyway, so there are no consequences for this", especially when you add the aspect of his disability being part of the forcing and the trope of people with disabilities being desexualized. Though I'd be fine with it in an AU where he chose to be a medicine cat. |

None. I think JayHalf is weird since there in different times. JayPoppy and JayBriar is seen as more platonic to me and Flametail almost let Jayfeather drown.
I would rather keep him single lol. Or if i had to choose maybe Kestrelflight but that's it.

It sucks that the only ace representation we get is a medicine cat who was basically forced to be single. And I never even thought about his disability playing into that stereotype, oof that makes things a bit worse. I'd love for more cats besides Jayfeather to have no desire for a mate from the beginning. |

Don't worry, I know lol (Also I still like LionIce imo), I just never really "saw" PoppyJay, its a pairing that I didn't see in the books, nor online actually. And the only time I see mention of it now is on here, so it always baffled me. However, I do remember other old "ghost" ships from the POT era, including the...more popular but didn't age well one, like HollyBreeze, lmao. |
