Greenpaw, Goosepaw, and Gorsepaw all fall ill with whitecough. After receiving some cat mint the three show signs that they're getting better. However all three are found dead the next morning, they all seemed to have died in their sleep.

Greencough is in the camp. Lightkit, Chaoswing, Fallenlight, Freckleheart, and Milkpetal all die. Rosestar holds a vigil all day for these cats. Leaf-bare will be much harder this year because there are fewer warriors to help with hunting. Rosestar is deciding on a new deputy.
