This poll just got posted on the official Warrior Cats website and as usual I decided to share it on here. warriorcats.com/content/poll/who-is-your-favorite-into-the-wild-thunderclan-warriorMy vote went to Tigerclaw but Lionheart and Whitestorm will also always have a special place in my heart. With Lionheart, because of the fact that this is the book we first meet him and in which he dies. While with Witestorm, for being such a great support for Fireheart/star later on in the original arc as well as his death later on. There is quite a lot of nostalgia for me in his regard. That being said, I still voted for Tigerclaw due to him being one of my favorite villains (and characters) overall and since he made quite the first impression on me personally as the first cat to be pointed out in the prologue of this book (although the first cat to be named there was Oakheart) and having the first half of it be focused on him. And of course, his antagonistic role in the rest of it. |

All this poll does is make me realize how actually memorable the warriors of the first arc were and actually had some form of a distinguished personality compared to the ones in the newer arcs lol

All this poll does is make me realize how actually memorable the warriors of the first arc were and actually had some form of a distinguished personality compared to the ones in the newer arcs lol While that is true to a certain extent, I don't remember that much about Mousefur or her brother Runningwind either in the first arc. Except for her standing up to Leopardfur while she was talking to Fireheart after he had replaced Tigerclaw as deputy and Runningwind being shown to be friends with Graystripe briefly while him and Fireheart had their falling out as well as his death, of course. Mousefur became much more of a character to me after she had become an elder. Also, Willowpelt did not have many scenes or was shown with much personality in the first arc either. She did have more in both of the novellas of her littermates but I'm not a fan of those books so I'm not remembering much about here there either. Her sacrifice in FQ was sad tough but not indicative of her own personality outside of wanting to protect her kit (Sootfur) like most mothers would. But yes, most warriors on this poll did have some memorable personalities compared to the ones in newer arcs. Which might have to do with ThunderClan nowadays being almost overflown with way more background cardboards as compared to back then. |

Lionheart and Runnignwind. I love Whitestorm, but his death and actions toward the end were poorly written. On his deathbed, he announces his approval for Graystripe and then kicks the bucket. |
