I've always liked him as a concept and him going absolutely nuts made me like him more. I just like characters that are deranged with no redeeming qualities.

As for his character, I don't like him and I disliked him even more now. But I suppose he is a good villain.

I liked him before, and I like him even more now. I think he makes for an interesting antagonist.

Yup. I used to hate him because of how the books downplayed his horribleness, but I like him after TBC because he was finally treated completely like a villain, and I think he's an awesome villain at that.

i've always hated him and TBC made me hate him even more bc him getting spotlight again years later was unwarranted and stupid and it just wasted more time on old cats we dont need to see again

I was neutral until he became an incel in Power of Three. And once they brought him back I absolutely hated him. Love the message the Erins were telling young readers about consent and agency and all that jazz. I fully support that. But I don't find that arc enjoyable and it just made me really hate ashfur.

I used to hate him a lot before TBC, mostly because of his rabid fans who constantly defended his actions and refused to see how bad he actually was, and also because I hated how the authors originally tried excusing what he did as "loving too much" when that was not love, but obsession and attempted(and SUCCEEDED, as he took one of Firestar's lives in the trap) murder of cats who were completely innocent. I highly doubt that, if he HAD succeeded in killing the protags, a lot of his fans would have still defended him. (Okay, maybe there might've been some who'd still defend him, but not nearly as many people would've.) But once the fans finally calmed down and the books/authors FINALLY condemned his actions, I actually started to like him as a character. I probably would've liked his character back then too if not for the excuses from all three of the books, fans, and authors.

I was neutral and now I "like" him. (Just think his character is more interesting.)

He was okay as a villain in PoT, but TBC made me like him considerably more. He's way more interesting and entertaining now and I would honestly argue one of the more complex characters in the series. Definitely among my favourite characters.

I love my little hater so much, just the fact he ruined the lives of countless people cause he got dumped once is hilarious. Also the fact that despite attempting murder multiple times he still ended up in cat heaven… only to get out and go on another murder spree. We truly live in a society.
