clay, moon and cricket were all kinda meh to me. they were all very flat characters, with not much interesting going on with them. sure, moon had powers but it was handled so poorly to the point where it made her unlikable. clay’s only remarkable trait is that he came from a blood egg, and cricket is just annoying. but, those are just my opinions on it.

I liked most of the protagonists, but Winter was the most unlikable for me because his POV really tiring to read through at a lot of points in his book.

Peril because I'm pretty sure half the wordcount in her book was just yammering about Clay
Blue because he was boring and his whole empathy thing for other dragons felt too similar to Sunny. I actually adore Sunny, but Blue didn't really feel like his own character.

Moon.
Her book was good but she was not the reason.
Darkstalker was the reason Moon Rising was good.

based purely off of my own interest, starflight bore me quite a bit. there was no reason for me to like him before his book, and his pov didnt really change that. im only halfway thru arc 2 and i havent read arc 3 yet so i cant speak on those :] i think 100% there are books that can be more interesting to read but more poorly structured, but im not going into wof with a desire to analyze the structure of Tui's storytelling-- so i have no real comment there

I've only read the first arc (plus Moon's and Winter's book), but for me, probably Tsunami.

I have to say Starflight. His book is way too boring and I didn't even finish it the first time I read the series. So I skipped his book and came back to it. It was still hard to read but I managed to finish it.
