So it seems that everyone is making one of these threads nowadays, so it's about time I jumped on the bandwagon! This place will be the collection for my random ramblings and inane babble, vents and rants, editorial notes, nonsensical chit chatter, so forth. If you wish to join in on any particular topic that I cover here, do not hesitate! Also, I DM so many people nowadays that if anyone would prefer to talk here, I have no objections!
Last minute change: I am forbidding any further discussion from the books post-PoT, as I have not yet caught up beyond that point. Thank you.

Since color is from our perspective, what color is the universe? Does it have color at all? Is it really just black and white, or should we just call it "light" and "dark"? When you look at a leaf, is it just the mind's interpretation of what that leaf should look like? Does it actually accurately resemble what your eyes are trying to tell you? Cats can't see red. They cannot taste sweetness. Most are crepuscular. They sleep 16+ hours a day. They are near sighted. Apprentice are not "small", unless you want to consider a middle schooler "small"... in which case, fair point. Eh, I'm going to stop nitpicking. That's not the point of the series. This is a dangerous rabbit whole to go down. Moving on!  |

I really need to organize my OC's better. Develop family trees, invest in crafting their character sheets, so forth. I have 61 of them and only a tiny handful even have basic summaries attached to them! I want to create and get attached to an entire universe, darn it! This is... quite the chore. Like climbing a mountain, but with every step I take, I feel rewarded for doing so. |

Really though I think it's just cause going to the moonstone/moonpool is sacred thing that everyone has to do. They need to tresspass. Plus if they did attack or even capture and kill, they might have a fear of invoking the wrath of StarClan by not allowing them safe passage.

I was just imagining a "Firestar-like" scenario where a leader and their medicine cat, maybe a warrior or two, wait at the border of another Clan's territory until a patrol passes by, and demand to talk to their leader, and they're escorted into the camp. Or a medicine cat travels through said territory to deliver news to the other Clans' medicine cat, expecting safe passage... and they don't make it out alive. Said leader might not be too concerned with the potential wrath of StarClan. |

StarClan is ticked off and demand that the Clans stop acting likes rogues towards each other. My OC, a warrior, approaches them and says,
"It is a commonly held belief within the Clans that our spiritual ancestors are perfect... flawless beings with infinite wisdom and knowledge. While this may hold true under most respects, you are in fact not all-knowing. There is one field, one way that once formed the foundation of your core as warriors, back when you were alive, but that you have since forgotten. StarClan has one weakness, one way that blinds you to how living warriors live. In StarClan, there is no hunger, no cold, no struggles or outside threats, no borders, no disputes, no bloodshed, nothing left to fight for... and no-one to hate. The beautiful hatred, the one thing the five Clans around the lake have in common. Hatred for the enemy, hatred for the other, and as a _____Clan warrior, I can tell you, I hate them. I hate them all. The other Clans are dust and ants to me and all of my Clanmates - their lives are irrelevant. So let me ask you this, "all knowing spirits". Oh I know, but from previous conversations you were defending their need of division, so I assumed you would prefer them divided, now I'm surely wrong, I'm sorry. I was defending their need for individuality (i.e. some level of division, like houses instead of countries), hence why I'm very iffy on the "interClan romances are no longer considered as being forbidden" change as of late. (That's the only recent change I have heard, and I'd rather keep it that way.) Although I do think the Clans' hatred for each other is totally unnecessary. It's the worst kind of pride. |

I'm just curious about possible ramifications this might have. That's one more thing. The rules of the warrior code are fairly often broken or abused, but rulebreakers are seldom punished beyond just a stern scolding. It's a miracle rules aren't broken more often haha. |

oh thats perfect cause i havent read past it either lol.
I liked the occasional forbidden love thing, but with just how long the series has gone on and how they don't accept very many outsiders they keep running into problems where Oops! All Incest Babies! it's kind of a necessary change.

They're bashed those rules in the face since kittenhood, no wonder they see it as the word of god. But it's true code-breaking is not often punished, but I get it, some recent examples of punishments really went off the limit and I wouldn't like it to be the basic punishment. Though it would be fun a society of cats just pointlessly following rules to the core, so much that it would end up destroying them or something.
