Thymeclan and Roseclan Gathering and Border Page
Important places
The Moon Mushrooms: Deep in the forest there is a small clearing surrounded by brambles. Inside this clearing there is a rotten tree stump about 4 cats wide ringed in mushrooms. When the moon is in the right spot the mushroom ring glows and whoever stands in the middle of it can speak to starclan.
The Gathering Clearing: This is a clearing set between Thymeclan and Roseclan territories. It is a flat and open space with tall grass and tree stump in the center. Much like the stump in the Moon Mushrooms clearing this stump is 4 cats wide.

Roseclan Silverrose with Ratwhisper Silverrose approached the Gathering place and sniffed the air. "Seems as though we're the first ones here." She said to her medicine cat. She moved to the center of the area and sat down beside the big tree stump. "We should probably discuss when we need to use the Moonstone with Elmstar and Icewhisper. "Probably." Ratwhisper remarked as he looked all around the empty clearing. He could only imagine this place filled with cats chatting about whatever they wanted. "I hope they don't make us wake to long. There is still a lot that has to be done."

Silverrose turned and looked at Ratwhisper. "Don't worry. We have plenty of daylight left. And I believe the Moon Mushrooms probably work at night. That is how Phoenixclan's starclan communications worked I believe. We had an algae covered pool. I accompanied my leader there once as an apprentice." She said her eyes faintly glowing with sorrow as she spoke about her former clan.

"Sounds lovely." Ratwhisper said as he sits down and wraps his tail around his paws. He takes note of her expression and gives her a sympathetic look. Despite knowing his purpose lied in Roseclan, he couldn't help but still miss Mothclan. "In Mothclan there was a pond deep in the forest and that was where we talked with Starclan."

"I hope this visit gives us guidance. I watched my former leader do their job for many moons but I don't know how to bring a clan together from those torn apart." Silverrose sighed. She was lost on how to make sure the cats acted as a clan. "I want to confide in you who I've chosen as Deputy. If that's okay with you." She wrapped her tail around her paws and looked at Ratwhisper with her large blue eyes.

"I have faith in you." Ratwhisper didn't know Silverrose very well, but he could tell she had good intentions. A little more confidence and she would be fine leader. He blinks as she stares at him. "Of course, did you have someone in mind?"

"Thank you Ratwhisper." Silverrose purred. She felt a small boost of confidence in her decisions. "I am going to name Crescentsmoke deputy. He seems like he would be a good bridge between the clan cats and former loners." She said looking at the medicine cat to see what his reaction would be.

"Yes he does. Plus he is mentoring Mistpaw and that's about as close as we can get to the rule of him having mentored an apprentice." Silverrose was a rule follower but she understood when rules were meant to be broken. "I'm sure there are other good candidates but I feel as though he's the best choice. He seems to be very level-headed too. That's why I also have him leading a patrol today." She squirmed around a little as though she wasn't quite sure what to do with herself. "I tried to choose both clan cats and former loners so that it doesn't look as though I favor one over the other. Especially when they will all prove theirselves loyal warriors eventually." She paused as if wondering if she could say it outloud and decided she was in safe company. "I'm worried how Wrenwillow will fit into the clan. She's so aloof and looks down on so many cats. I wouldn't be surprised if she snubs every cat except you and I. Of course her mate and kits are safe too but she was prickly when we lived in Phoenixclan." She sighed and bowed her head. She shivered as a cold breeze passed over them it passed over as she talked about her brother's mate.

"I think she is going to have to get over it." Ratwhisper replied bluntly. He disliked cats who thought they were better than everyone else. "As a clan, we will all need to work together regardless if they like each other or not. Overtime, she may get a wake up call. If not, we could cross that bridge when we get to it."

Silverrose nodded. "Yeah I feel about the same. She is quite a prickly cat. And even so to her mate and kits. Melonburr balances her out some becuase he is so open to everyone though." She shrugged. "I'm glad to see her kits didn't get it from her." She sat quietly for a bit and pondered her brother's mate. "I think their kits are in need of an assessment. They could be warriors by the Gathering."

As they approached the Gathering place Icewhisper glanced around and briefly scented the air. Shortly after scenting the two Roseclan cats she already spotted them. With a short nod to Elmstar Icewhisper walked a bit faster to meet them. "Greetings, you two," she meowed and dipped her head as she came to a halt before Silverrose and Ratwhisper. "Sorry we kept you waiting, there was something I had to discuss with one of our warriors," she said.

Elmstar followed Icewhisper into the Gathering clearing. He dipped his head to both the Roseclan cats but stayed quiet allowing his Medicine Cat to talk for them both. He sat down next to her for a moment while they chatted.

"Yes let's get moving." Elmstsr said. Then as he walked he talked. "That I'd quite wonderful news. Though I didn't know that any of those you had gathered was pregnant. Or have you met other cats since we found your camp?" He asked. He didn't mean to sound nosy only just wanted to make conversation.

Icewhisper purred at Ratwhisper's words. "Well, she wouldn't be the first," she said. "I've already seen my share of she-cats who thought there was something wrong with them, only to find out that they were expecting kits." As they walked she glanced over at Silverrose and nodded. The Gathering was something the leaders should decide but it reminded her of something else. "Speaking of Gatherings, shall we have one for us as well?" she asked Ratwhisper. "I visit the Moon Mushrooms every half-moon to speak with Starclan. Maybe you'll do that too? If so, we could meet to exchange news or discuss things. And if you have an apprentice, they should come along too."

Elmstar paused for a second to look at Silverrose and the others. "I think having a Gathering is a great idea. Maybe we should have it each full moon." He suggested. "And it's very exciting each and every time the clan gets new kits. It means another generation strong. But it must be especially important to Roseclan right now. You are all in the middle of a huge life change." He purred and continued on his way. He sniffed the air. "It smells as though our patrol passed through here not too long ago checking for danger. It smells clear to me"

Ratwhisper thinks about this for a few seconds then nods his head. "Joining you every half moon sounds good to me. Funny enough I do have an apprentice. Never thought, I would have one but she seemed interested in herbs and didn't seem right to tell her no."

Silverrose purred. She smiled and nodded at Elmstar's comments on kits. "The full moon sounds like the perfect time to have a gathering. We could bring a few members of our clan to co-mingle at the place between our territories and share news together." She glanced at the Medicine cats who were in conversation as well. "I would like to make it to where our territory is open to come into if your cats need help. If there were to become a reason to need to fight alongside each other then I want that to be an option."

"Oh, that's a surprise," Icewhisper purred. "Sounds like your clan is lucky to have a medicine cat apprentice already. I'll have to wait for a little less than a moon before I can train mine," she added. "I know most medicine cats wait until they're a bit older before they train one but this cat is so interested in learning all these things and he's pretty smart too. He's also given it a lot of thought and he's sure that this is what he wants to do with his life. I'd be a mousebrain if I turned him down." She caught a few words of the conversation the two leaders were having and smiled. It sounded like a good idea and she hoped Elmstar would extend a similar offer. They were two different clans but that didn't mean they shouldn't be working together in times of trouble.

Elmstar nodded at Silverrose's comments. He felt it was useful for the clans to depend on each other. "I think that's a wonderful idea. I would think it's important for us to support each other." He walked a little further and as he approached a clearing "we have arrived. And Icewhisper, I think it's a wonderful idea that Ratwhisper joins you on the half moon." He stepped into the clearing and made his way to the stump surrounded by mushrooms. "It's still a little early so anything else we want to discuss can take place now."

"Perhaps the next time we meet, we can introduce our apprentices to each other." Ratwhisper suggested to her. He could see Ashpaw making friends with Icewhisper's apprentice. He hears the leaders mention a gathering and flicks his tail back and forth.
