I knew he wasn't so bad, and going against Onestar's orders to give herbs to another Clan proves that he's at least better than his leader, who has now apparently going mad... or madder. Point is, there's still hope for WindClan!

Thank goodness for that, really. They're almost as bad as ShadowClan right now, I hope Harespring brings them up good if he gets to leader.

maybe Harespring took the DF's argument of "the code is bad and we should be tied together by choice and not rules" at face value, just without the part that was "oh yeah and only the strong are worthwhile" or something like that
so he goes behind his leader's back and helps another Clan, breaking the code in multiple ways but for a good reason
which could be related to him trespassing in BrS: "the code says we're not allowed to do this, but the good of the cats (in this case his Clanmates) comes before following the rules" and also with why he was one of the cats convinced to attack by Sol
he's always seemed kind of a jerk, but that's beside the point

I was really happy he decided to do this. I used to not like him that much and didn't want him as the next leader, but now I don't think he'll be that bad a leader. Which made me think...what if Onestar actually is on his last life? That could explain why he trusts no one at the moment.

It's kind of ridiculous, but I'm wondering if whoever came back after Onestar lost that life isn't actually Onestar.

I like Harespring. He's one of the good WindClan cats.

Honestly, maybe Onestar is just losing his mind like Bluestar did in the first series. It would explain a lot tbh. But maybe there is hope for WindClan yet, seeing how Harespring has proven to not be 100% awful.

Honestly, maybe Onestar is just losing his mind like Bluestar did in the first series. It would explain a lot tbh. But maybe there is hope for WindClan yet, seeing how Harespring has proven to not be 100% awful. Yeah- he's acting how he used to- just 4, maybe 10 times worse. Not only that- but now he's not only acting rude, aggressive, and extremely disrespectful- but he's also become reckless... and kinda dumb. Look, I never really thought Onestar was ever a smart leader- but giving each clan a "kit for a day?". What?? The regular Onestar wouldn't be that low. Also- though I get some might think he attacked the rogues on ThunderClan land on purpose... what sane leader would do that? They were outnumbered. I also think it's pretty similar how both Onestar and Bluestar made a mistake- Onestar attacking the rogues and Bluestar not making Brightheart a warrior- and because of their state of mind, they both blamed someone who had nothing to do with it. WindClan were said to be troubled- and even scared of Onestar, and probably didn't believe ShadowClan had anything to do with it, and the same was with Bluestar- who instantly blamed StarClan, when they had nothing to do with the dog attack. I know Onestar blamed ThunderClan for stealing kits at one point- but even that had more logic that blaming ShadowClan. While they followed the kits' scent toward ThunderClan territory, Onestar was in the battle himself, and should have known the rogues attacked them, not ShadowClan. "Maybe the rogues had ShadowClan scent on them, since they were living close to their land?" I would normally think that, but when Violetpaw sees the rogues coming into the ShC camp, she specifically recalls "strong rogue scent" filling camp. If a new apprentice could recognize a rogue's stench, surely Onestar could too. It just makes sense to me. He's probably on his second-to-last, or probably last life, he's old, and it's fairly common for leaders to change the last seasons of their life. Bluestar shut down when Tigerstar betrayed her, Leopardstar turned into a cranky old lady x10 when the lake dried up, and I think I recall Crookedstar not "going insane", but he was definitely sort of "out of it", and I think I recall that Leopardstar had already taken over most of the leadership duties by the time he died.
