⤷ [ GREETINGS ]
Hello one, hello all. I am fairy rose, as I have decided to change my username on a whim. You may call me whatever you would like, but a nickname I often go by is Mouse (long story short, I am very short and this name stuck like glue). After joining and being spotty with activity, I’m returning to these vast forum lands to once again search for writing friends and allies against the enemy known as boredom. As a role player and a writer, it is easy for me to get overwhelmed by taking on too many things at once, so I’ve set a limit of potential partners for myself this time around.
⤷ [ DA RULES ]
⸻ I like writing with people who are eighteen or over, because I am well into my twenties and prefer to stick to those closer to my own age. I apologize to all the wonderful young writers out there. I am sure your writing is infinitely better than my own.
⸻ Please be LGBTQ+ friendly. This is an important rule to me. I write a lot of characters and love having diversity among them, both with the main protagonists and supporting cast. For romantic pairings, I like writing M/M the most. I accept all pairings. M/F is something I’m rusty with but I will definitely write it.
⸻ Rudeness will not be tolerated. Now, this isn’t a rule I often include, because it’s common sense. The majority of people I meet are wonderful, but I’m putting this here anyway. Let’s be polite and kind to one another. Real life is stressful enough.
⸻ Third person, past or present tense only. I dislike first person perspectives and second person confuses the heck out of me.
⸻ My writing style is not set in stone. I wouldn’t say I’m a consistent writer, because my posts vary depending on my partner’s. I can whip up very long replies full of detail and description. If need be, short and simple ones work, too. There are many factors that influence this, including what’s happening story-wise. I would like to have two paragraphs at minimum; I need some substance to work with.
⸻ Doubling and writing multiple characters is something I enjoy doing, permitted that the plot allows for it. I love to explore a story through the eyes of more than one perspective. With that being said, sometimes it’s nice to really focus on one character and their development.
⸻ I am a busy, trash-dwelling gremlin. My work schedule and personal life is all over the place. I’m striving to post every few days, if I can. I don’t expect lightning fast responses from my partners, either. You will have my complete patience and understanding if you’re busy, can’t post for long periods of time, or simply wish to quit. No hard feelings!

⤷ [ ONE STOP PLOT SHOP ]
C1 — Character One.
C2 — Character Two.
The role I prefer is italicized. If neither are, then I have no preference. Details can be changed or swapped, nothing is set in stone. These are all flexible. I like to expand on ideas and brainstorm with my partners. Right now, I’m only craving a couple ideas.
⸻ Magic, Politics, Rocky Beginnings.
C1 is the apprentice of a wizened, powerful warlock—a position they earned through family connections, on account of C1 being the grandchild of the warlock’s old friend. C1 should feel lucky and honored to learn from the best. Right? No, wrong. The truth is, C1 is miserably untalented when it comes to the realm of magic. Their spells always backfire, their potions turn to black goo, and they can’t even summon a feather without it bursting into flames. As a magic user, they’re an absolute failure. One day, the warlock takes on another apprentice, C2. Unlike C1, C2 is a natural prodigy. Magic comes to them as easily as the air they breathe. Without warning, the two are forced together, and are expected to interact daily. Nothing could go wrong.
⸻ Horror, Post-Apocalyptic, Science-Fantasy.
Hundreds of years have led humans to an unfathomable amount of breakthroughs. Over time, the outside world became too dangerous to inhabit. To save themselves, humans built massive cities deep within the earth—walled off from the outside world, protected by thick layers of concrete and metal. Over a hundred of these cities were made, enough to house roughly half of the population. These walled safe havens were meant to be the way of the future: safe, secure, serene. When the doors closed and cut people off from the outside, it was expected that they would never open again. Time passed, though, and things changed. The outside isn’t quite so dangerous anymore. Those who were unable to move into the walled cities suffered, yes, and many perished. But they survived. No one has heard from those inside the cities in centuries.
C1 is from the outside, on the hunt for supplies, in the most dangerous area—an abandoned settlement close to a Walled City. The places are eerily silent and empty, subjected only to rumor and mystery. No one has stepped foot inside one and those who have managed to slip between the cracks have never returned. While scavenging, C1 encounters an unusual stranger who keeps running away: C2.
This plot is loosely based on the new video game called Stray, about a cat exploring an apocalyptic world where humans have all but vanished. I have been obsessed with this game. Of course, this plot will focus on people instead of cats, but the general idea is mostly the same. Knowledge of the game is not required, because I have changed the majority of it to better suit my tastes.
