(im super bored and just want to do a random rp, you can use any character you want, from humans to dragons anything goes . BUT keep everything PG 13. I have no plot but if anyone wants to give suggestions feel free to message me.)
Her fur is short yet wavy with a healthy ruddy color with a creamy tam underbelly, neck, muzzle and large spots above her dark brown eyes. Thick tufts of fur hang from the tips of her ears, her tail thick and short is permanently curled at the end. Her beautiful ruddy coat is spoiled by a couple scars, one across her chest, another sits horizontal under her right eye. And last the most noticeable scar is a thick gash across her neck. Her dark brown eyes narrow as you approach, her long thin whiskers twitching as she eyes you closely. You two stand at the edge of sprawling forest, about 300 feet away in a magical looking town. Music and chatter can barley be heard in the whispers of the wind.

Thorn growls --a low, mistrustful sound from deep within his broad chest-- and the direwolf steps out of the wood. Shadows cling to his dark pelt longer than they should, wisping off his fur in tendrils back towards the gloom like the wolf had stepped through a mist. His ears are pinned back, his lip curled in distaste of the sun, civilization, and the necessary task before him. He pauses at the edge of the hill, Thorn's golden eyes meeting the gaze of the small cat beside him: the thick scar over her neck distracts him as it always does, reminds him of his own scars hidden in his thick, shadowy pelt. "Thank you for accompanying me," he says, rumbling through vocal cords that are better suited towards other sounds and simply suffice for common speech.
The direwolf feels a pull down towards the village, a tug as from a hook in his chest, the same as he'd had the rest of the journey. Even if the music and civilization repels him, fuels his instinct to allow the shadows to consume him and disappear, he knows he must set that aside. With a shake of his fur, the misting shadows dissipate entirely, leaving his black fur mundane once more.

Tawnys dark brown eyes followed Thorn as he approached, no discernible emotion could be read on her ruddy colored face. Most creatures would had fled seeing the massive wolf but Tawny stood stone faced. With a voice as soft as a new born kits fur the small she-cat spoke. "Its a pleasure to accompany you. It's been a long time." Her gaze turned to the busy city before them. In the time it took Thorn to approach the she-cat the wind had changed directions bathing them in the smells and sounds of the city. Cooking meat, burning herbs, and the music of violins hung around them as they stood near the forests edge. "What business do you have here? It's not very often you visit citys." She added ever so quietly.

Thorn's posture softened, the cat's confidence rubbing off on him. His eyes blinked slowly at her before he turned back towards the city and the wash of scents wafting up the hillside towards them. "A long time," he agreed. Before Pan, before he went west, when the only shadows in his fur were cast from the trees. Thorn's dark ears focused on the city sounds; he couldn't quite hear voices, not from this distance, but he heard conversation under the bustle of city sounds. He wondered if any of them belonged to Pan. "A friend called for me," he said after a moment. He wasn't a direwolf of many words, but his companion was owed some explanation for her company. "He saved my life. I promised to return the favor if ever he needed it of me."

As thorn spoke Tawny watched the city. Her long silvery whiskers twitched as she mulled over Thorns words for a long second. Her gaze never leaving the city. Tawny didn't much like eye contact, she didn't like the pity she saw in peoples eyes when they noticed her scar, or the way they tried their hardest to not stare at it as they talked. "Ah, what trouble did they get themselves into?" Tawny asked quietly. "I hope its nothing to bad." She added quietly. Tawny brought her paw up to her face and back it a couple licks before drawing it over her face and whiskers.

Thorn huffed, a sharp exhale of breath that rattled through his chest. "They are always getting into trouble," he said lightly. He didn't mention that while Pan often dove face-first into the deepest pit of trouble he could fine, the young wizard's quick wits kept him safe from the worst of the danger. Mostly. They wouldn't have called on Thorn if it were something they could solve themself.
With a conscious effort, Thorn set his shoulders, shaking his thick ruff of dark fur and scattering shadows into the brush like reflections from a prism. "Let's get on with it." No more hesitating, Thorn decided he would see this through the moment he stepped foot from the Trembling Peaks. He let the call of Pan's sending stone guide his paws as he started down the hill towards the city.

Tawny gave her chest a quick licks before pulling herself to her paws and following her companion. This matter seemed urgent, a lot more urgent than the she-cat had thought. The smells and noise of the city grew stronger and stronger as they approached. The sun hung high in the sky. its beams only being disrupted by the few clouds that floating by lazily on the breeze. As they finely stepped onto the city's weather worn side walk a couple heads turned to look at the strange duo. Tawny kept her head held high as she could feel many eyes fall onto them. "Now, where did the sending stone say we should meet?" Tawny looked up at Thorn. She had to crane her head back just to see his face. Thorn made Tawny feel like a ant.

Eager to find Pan now that he was fully committed to the journey, Thorn followed Tawny's pawsteps. The effect was quite hilarious, as the direwolf was easily ten times the she-cat's size, but she did know the city better than he did and Thorn graciously accepted her lead. "It's more like a beacon," Thorn explained as they moved, his gravelly voice silencing some of the conversation around them as they ventured through the streets. "That way." Thorn paused for a moment, using a paw to show Tawny the direction --deeper into the city, slightly left. He couldn't judge the distance; ever since he'd descended the mountain, the link had grown stronger, and now the connection buzzed like a swarm of bees deep in his chest in that place the direwolf felt magic stir. A clanging of something falling echoed through the streets, and only through courage did Thorn steel himself against flinching, though his lip curled in a snarl. Cities were too loud, too busy, too crowded. He crept closer onto Tawny's heels, careful not to squish the smaller cat, but enough that she would be encased in his shadow.

Tawny's tufted ears flicked about picking up bits and pieces of conversation. A group of men chatted about the weather. A young satyr complained to his mother about his dropped ice cream. Tawny's ears flicked back as whispers grew and fell as they approached and padded by. These city folk where rather rude here. The sudden clanging made the she-cat flinch and turn to see what had made that sound. With a small sight she padded om, turning down the street Thorn had gestured to. The high buildings here blotted out some of the suns rays causing this area to be rather cooler and darker, some rather distasteful graffiti was sprawled here ad there on the dusty buildings. Tawny could feel Thorns breath on her back as he inched closer to her, she understood his nervousness. He was a creature of the forest not this loud noisy city. "This place is a lot more distasteful than i remember." The she-cat murmured under her breath.

Thorn's only reply to that was a low growl. The streets grew even more cramped as they ventured deeper, only heightening the direwolf's anxiety. It didn't help that the beacon's call was vibrating in his chest, the magic singing, roaring, pulling him closer. He didn't think he could resist it even if he tried. It was only with profound control that Thorn kept behind Tawny.
They broke free of the street into a square, a low fountain dominating the center with merchants in carts lining the sides. Thorn ignored it all, feeling the beacon's tug straight to the center; he stepped over Tawny, rushing forward; the crowds parted way for the wolf --he didn't notice that either-- his eyes set on the middle of the fountain where a bright colored stone pulsed at the center. Thorn stepped into the water, pushing through until he could rest a paw on the stone. The magic stopped all at once, leaving him dizzy as he looked around the square.
Pan was no where to be seen.

Tawny watched with wide eyes as her friend darted off suddenly leaving her alone in the sea of people that only parted for the direwolf but once again merged back around her. "Thorn!" She called out as she tired to follow him. But she was no direwolf she couldn't part the sea of people. In a panic the she-cat bursted into a amber light, once where a ruddy color cat stood a small ruddy colored parrot took its place. She quickly leaped into the air and scoped the area until she spotted her friend in the middle of the fountain. With a couple flaps of her wings she landed on the fountains rim. The mist from the fountain speckled her feathers as she watched her crestfallen friend. She wasn't going to scold him for leaving her as he was clearly having a rough time. "Is pan here?" She squawked over the thundering of the water.

Thorn blinked as a parrot alighted on the fountain's edge, speaking with Tawny's voice and with plumage the same color as her fur. He hadn't seen her take this form before, and it took a moment for the gears in Thorn's head to turn, processing the wash of magic, Pan's absence, and Tawny's new form. He realized the people in the town were staring, so he reached into the water, grabbing the now inert stone in his jaws along with a mouthful of water. The sending stone was small enough, and his maw large enough, that it fit between his lip and teeth, it clattered irritatingly, but it would do for now. "They aren't here," he said. "Not even their scent." Tawny's feline form would be better at distinguishing that, especially in the crowd, but Thorn was certain they wouldn't find anything. Pan wouldn't have just thrown the sending stone in a fountain for the laughs, that wasn't like them.
Thorn pulled himself out of the fountain. The water hadn't been deep enough to even reach his stomach fur, but his paws dripped water, darkening the stone cobble. "I've asked too much of you already, friend," Thorn said, "I do not know what trouble Pan is in, but I must help if I am able. I would be honored if you choose to accompany me." Searching the town by himself may prove difficult, especially if Pan was being hidden. He could only hope there would be some lead here.

In another wash of amber light the Tawny shifted back to her cat form. Her dark brown eyes glimmering with worry. The show that Thorn and her had put on had gathered a bit of attention and now people were staring and whispering about them. She leaped from the fountains edge and followed Thorn avoiding the puddles of water he left behind. "Of course old friend. It will be like old times." Tawny paused. "Kind of." Tawny's voice was a bit more tired sounding, like her shifting had taken a lot of energy. The crowd had dispersed a bit and only a couple stranglers watch them them from afar. Tawny eyed them until they got the hint and wonder off deeper into the city. "Drop the stone maybe it can tell us something more, maybe they wrote something on it." Tawny said quietly. Tawny craned her head up to look at Thorn.

Old times, yeah. Hopefully he wouldn't get his tail stuck in a door this time around. The direwolf flicked his ears when his companion suggested the rock itself might hold a clue and quickly spat it out, sending the small stone clattering against the cobble. It wasn't glowing anymore, and Thorn couldn't feel it radiating magic, but then again he wasn't very good at that sort of thing. His own "magic", if he could even call it that, was much more primal than the spells of wizards: Thorn didn't know how to explain his shadows, just that he felt what they wanted to do and could nudge them around a bit.
"Anything?" he asked. Tawny spent more time around cities than he did, she was certainly more likely to pick up on any writing or clues that might be hidden there.
(yo ik we haven't discussed any plot, feel free to take it wherever~)

Tawny lowered her head to the stone and gave it a look over. Her long whiskers twitching as she observed the rock, a simple opal shaped stone. Its surface glimmered with both Thorns drool and the water from the fountain. "Hm." She took it in her small paws and flipped it. On its under side a strange symbol was carved into its surface. It looked like a simple unicorn head but its mouth was stretched open showing a set of snarling dog teeth. Tawny frowned, her tufted ears flicking back as she studied this odd bit of art. It had been carved onto the rock quickly, its edges wobbly and rushed. "I have never seen this symbol before, its rather strange." Tawny said quietly. Her eyes shifting from the stone to Thorn. "Did Pan ever say anything about something like this?"
(ah ok!! i like how this rp is coming.)

(Same! It has those Good Vibes. Also ART???)
Thorn peeked over Tawny's shoulder at the stone, watching the feline flip it with nimble paws. The direwolf studied it for several moments, his tail swishing slow and low as he focused. "Angry unicorn," he muttered, thinking aloud. "Or Kelpie?" Thorn wasn't familiar with many of the creatures in the lowlands, having spent most his life in the mountains and hills. More dragons, but that meant there was plenty of open land that wasn't easily habitable and plenty of space for the wolves. At least it was a clue, even if neither of them recognized the symbol. "It certainly wasn't there before. Whoever took Pan must have drawn that." He didn't have any proof that Pan was taken, but there must have been some reason the wizard used the stone to call Thorn. They wouldn't have done that if it weren't an emergency. "Why would they draw a symbol that might be a clue? Arrogance?"

Tawny padded at the rock as she listened to Thorn. The roar of the people and fountain around them faded away as they bother pondered. "A kelpie maybe but they don't have horns, well the ones i have seen." Tawny paused as she thought deeply about this whole fiasco. "Maybe." She paused for a long time as she tried to sort the words in her head. "Maybe arrogance. Maybe they want to be found." Tawny sighed loudly. This whole thing was incredibly vague, they where grasping at straws here. "But why would they want to be found? You must have something they want." Tawny looked back down at the stone. "I have a friend who lives in this area maybe she knows something." Tawny stood and shook out her fur.
(They best vibes, A R T i got inspired lol)

Thorn hoped Pan was alright, since he was starting to dread that it might be quite a long time until they'd be able to locate them. The stone had been activated the night before, and this was as quickly as Thorn could have arrived, so he hoped Pan hadn't lost the stone until recently, it would be difficult enough to find leads, but if the trail was cold...
"If they left clues, they must have Pan alive," Thorn growled, his tail lashing. As Tawny stood, he shook the water from his paw. He was glad Tawny was helping, he feared he wouldn't have even looked at the stone without her guidance, and now she may have a contact that could give some insight into the clue. He would have bumped her over the head in thanks if she was a wolf, but he feared the feline was too small. He opted to touch his nose against her ear gently instead. "Let us find your friend, and she can help us find mine."

Tawny nodded softly and gave Thorn a could quick purrs before turning and trotting off. "Could you carry the stone? We may find something later on to put it in." Tawny said over her shoulder. The pair trotted quickly and quietly through the vast alley ways and roads of the city. The sun had begun it slow decent back below the mountains casting the two in a even dimmer light. Tawny paused and sniffed the air. The two had reached what looked like a dead end alley. Its walls made of thick cobble stone and what vegetation could grow in the dimmer light here. Tawny stopped and looked up at Thorn. "Her name is Pandora, she is rather...vain but she has spy's all over the city. Treat her like a queen and she will give all the help she can." With that the she-cat slipped into the alley way her short tail held high.
The sent of cat hung heavy here, almost like a fog in the air. Drowning out the stench of the city. As they approached the back of the alley it seemed to open up into a courtyard of some sort. A tiny city of cats. Old boxes, cupboards, barrels, and anything that looked like a cat would sleep in it lined the odd looking courtyard. Its high walls was also peppered in cat houses. Old planters, missing stones where a cat could squeeze itself into, even old bird house became homes to smaller cats. The original use of this odd dead end alley/courtyard was unknown but now it was the cats. The area was lit by one light near the way back of the small courtyard atop a massive pile of pillows, blankets, shirts, and anything made of fabric sat a globe of light that acted like a false sun in this dim area. "This way." Tawny called as she trotted towards the pile. Cats of many colors and sizes watched the odd duo. None seemed afraid or nervous just curious some even passed Thorn without a second glance.
