Fira! We have another idea for the science division! It's branching a little into noncanon, and it sorta goes along with the visored experiments. Here it is: the science division, in response to the arrancar attack, could also look for a way to transfer shinigami powers to a human (who already has spiritual powers) without requiring a shinigami to give up their own. The first test subject would then be Corynn xD]]

"Oh... you're probably right," Aoi said, her voice suddenly very lacking in enthusiasm. Then the realization hit that she'd forgotten to mention the over thousand year long feud between the shinigami and Quincies to her new friend. She did not detest them as strongly as most of the older Quincies she knew like her father, but still, having a pleasant conversation with one was not on her list of favorite things to do.

Silver: Mitsuo watched her for a moment and then smiled when Nikita gave the ok. "Good to hear~" he said in response. "Alright, let's head in," Mizuki said, already starting to walk inside. "Nikita, our side is on the right." She gave Mitsuo a look and a nudge to the side as he started to follow her in. He snickered, but the look on Mizuki's face said she thought otherwise. "Heehee, I'm just kidding~" Mitsuo said before disappearing into the men's side. As Mizuki entered the women's side, the steam from the baths could already be felt after only a few steps. "I am very much looking froward to this," she sighed. Nikita smiled and laughed lightly at Mitsubishi before following in behind Mizuki. A soft sigh slipped past her own lips in return as well. "As am I, this was a wonderful idea Mizuki." She told her new friend happily. Lightly, she reached back and flicked back some dirtied hair before they entered the spa area. |

I just noticed! 40 pages!  ]] Cory: Aoi crossed her arms and let out a sigh. She'd come this far, might as well go through with the rest of it... for Corynn's sake. "Well, did you want to go try and find him?" she asked, though she really had no idea how they were going to do that. She hadn't seen any shinigami around town at all recently, and if she even brought it up to her father she'd probably be grounded for eternity. "I don't really think there's time left today, but I can help you after school tomorrow." ~~~ Silver: "Thank you," Mizuki said with a slight incline of her head. She set her things aside and stepped up to the large pool. Steam rose up from the surface and filled the room, heating the air to a comfortable warmth. She lowered herself into the pool one step at a time until she was submerged to her shoulders, then leaning back against the side and closing her eyes. "Aside from visiting your world, this is one of my favorite things that I don't get to do too often," she said with a light smile. |

Nikita smiled happily as she prepared and then slowly slipped into the warmth of the pool. The steam already starting to leech away some of the dirt and blood on her body. Her body was scarred over lightly from the wounds across her ribcage. The large gash that had been left a smaller, though still rather noticeable scar where it had healed. Nikita's eyes flicked over it and her fingers brushed the skin under the surface of the water. Finally, she leaned her head back and slowly relaxed, her eyes closing as well. "Do you come to our living world often, Mizuki?" she inquired with a light tip of her head towards the captain, opening her eyes a bit. |

"Alright, I'll meet you at the school gates after class then," Aoi said, getting up from her chair.
In the meantime her mother had gotten up and started cooking dinner in the kitchen. "Aoi, why don't you walk your new friend home? Dinner will be ready by the time you get back," she suggested, smiling.
Aoi looked from her mother to Corynn. "Do you know how to get home from here?" she asked.

Mizuki nodded slowly and leaned forward a bit from the side of the pool. "I wouldn't say it's a regular occurrence, but I do go more often than the average captain," she said with a chuckle. She reached up and undid her long black hair out of its bun, letting it fall into the water. "I've always found it fascinating, the world of the living is always changing... much more than I think Rukongai ever will."

"I spent about half of that living in Rukongai and joined the academy here just over a century ago now that I think about it." She lowered herself a bit deeper so more of her hair was in the water. "Ah~ I feel so old now," she laughed.

Aoi walked with her Quincy charm held tightly in her hand, in case of a hollow attack. They always came out more often at night than in broad daylight it seemed. She stayed fairly quiet as she walked, only speaking when she turned down different streets. "We're getting close," she said eventually.

Ichiro had gotten a gigai and now was just walking the streets trying to keep an eye out for anything unusual. Which for him was seeing Corynn and Aoi. Freaking out he quickly hides behind a corner though isn't sure if he was seen or not. |

Aoi glanced back over her shoulder with narrowed eyes, suddenly sensing a strong spiritual pressure behind them. She watched the empty street for a moment before turning back around, not seeing anything. It didn't feel like the presence of a hollow but she still felt uneasy about it, and tried her best to keep that from showing on her face.

"Your street is right around the corner," Aoi said at one point, pointing at the street sign on the corner that was just barely legible under the light of the street lamp. She hadn't notice, but her walking pace had sped up since detecting the presence behind them.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." "OK... And I think I saw someone." She mutters and catches up to Aoi now really nervous. "You did? Where?" Aoi asked, immediately looking up to Corynn. The charm in her hand started to glow blue and soon the bow had formed in her hand. She spun around just in time to see a dark shape swoop between the rooftops. Her heart sank and soon enough the ear-splitting screech of a hollow echoed down the street. Aoi pressed her hands to her ears and gritted her teeth, it was worse than nails on a chalkboard. Her eyes searched the sky until she saw it. The hollow was huge, with black bony batlike wings and gnarled claws. Three long pointed horns protruded from its rounded mask and its large eyes were locked on to the two girls. |

Ichiro sighs and starts running towards the girls, exiting his gigai at will in the process. In a flash he is next to Aoi with his sword drawn. "Well this is great. Not even here an hour and there already is a hollow." He mutters while making eye contact with the hollow. |

Aoi's eyes flicked to Ichiro suddenly beside her and didn't bother to hide her distaste at his arrival. "Maybe there wouldn't be so many if the shinigami assigned to this town would actually do their job," she snapped. She held her bow up and tracked the hollow as it flew through the air. It flew with great speed, making it difficult for the Quincy to get a steady aim on it.
