[ things haven't even begun and everyone is already dead rip ]
Cassie's brow furrowed. Fiona? Oh no, was she supposed to meet with someone, like an orientation type thing? Whoops. Well how was she supposed to know! No one told her! "Fiona...? Uhm- where exactly would I find them?"
Lilah seemed to have been momentarily distracted by the mention of Fiona. Ah, her years+ crush who hardly even glanced in her direction. What great, grand things. Shaking her head and snapping back to reality, she shrugged, stuffing more chips in her face. "No clue. Probably training. She trains a lot, even on off days. What do Class A's do? Probably that." She waved her hand, ignoring that she just gave about four different answers. "I don't know, just go searching for her. She's super tall and got red hair- can't miss her!"

Fiona had hung around near the main entrance for a while, though apparently the newcomer had already come and gone. She wasn't patient enough for this. Shoving her hands into her pockets, she strolled towards the gym. Might as well get some training in. The halls were fairly quiet today, which she didn't exactly mind. Though class b would be getting antsy with Risher gone which meant more problems, more fights between students. She needed to sit and have a chat with Piper before things got out of hand. But that could wait, she wanted to go punch something for a little bit.

Earl Lowry ; 19 ; Male ; Class A Standing at 6’2 with a thin yet muscular build, Earl isn’t that imposing and his smooth British accent doesn’t help. Having a rectangular face, his brown hair adds some height with the soft curls rising instead of falling. Considering it something a gentleman must do, he tries to keep a freshly shaven face only to have a bit of stubble midway through the day. His ears stick out a bit from his head but he doesn’t notice it much. His eyebrows are somewhat thin for someone his size and appearance and his lashes are long. His brown eyes are hooded and contain small flecks of orange and green mostly around the pupils. Earl has a tattoo of a white tea cup with tea inside of it on his left forearm and a matching white teapot on his right forearm with smoke coming out of the spout. Earl considers himself a gentleman and a tea man. He is usually dressed as nicely as he can to suit his view of himself. As a person, Earl is kind to most but he does have a nasty temper. He is a collector of tea and gossip, often going to places that he can gather information while relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea. If you mess with whatever tea he is drinking in the thermos he carries with him everywhere, then prepare yourself for one upset gentleman with a thirst for tea. Faceclaim is Garrett Neff. He has no mutations. other thepineappleincident
Jenny Parish ; 17 ; Female ; class A Jenny looks rather dainty and feminine and she is just exactly that. At first glance, you would believe her to be younger than what she is since she is just 5’2 but she will insist that she isn’t. Her face is shaped rather average looking but it is her full pink lips and expressive eyes that make her stand out. Her cheeks carry a natural blush that gets deeper when she is embarrassed or flustered. Her eyebrows are a darker blonde than her hair and arch elegantly over her excited pale green eyes. She usually wears mascara to make her eyelashes stand out more and always has chap stick with her. Her blonde hair is either wavy with a hat of some sort or stick straight in a ponytail or just down. Her face claim is Chloe Grace Moretz. Jenny is bubbly and energetic with a mix of sass here and there. She loves to bake and share her confections with others. She loves fashion and helping others find their “style”. Jenny is friendly and loyal, ready to stand by her friends. other thepineappleincident
Jason Banker ; 21 ; Male ; class B A twenty-one year old man who stands at 6’2 with short brown hair and grey eyes. He has a 5 o’clock shadow and messy hair that looks as if he just rolled out of bed. There are soft curls in Jason’s hair and often some will fall over his forehead. Jason’s eyes are a light grey similar to a stone’s color and can either be jovial or a deadly glare. His thick brows are more of a line than an arch and he has medium length lashes. A sly smile often rests on his face especially around friends and people he cares about. However, for most he reserves a scowl for. He has fair skin that will burn rather than tan. Jason can appear tough and guarded at first glance but deep down he is just a giant softy. He is loyal, protective, and true to his friends. He will never lie to those he cares about and will always put himself at the front lines to protect others. He gets frustrated with Emma often but will always love her. Face claim is James Marsden. Jason has the ability to control glass in two ways. He can move it with his mind and he can make it something it wasn't before such as an object, weapon, or shield. If he focuses he can form glass out of sand. other thepineappleincident
Emma Banker; 21 ; Female; class B A twenty-one year old woman who stands at 5’3 with brown hair and grey eyes. Her hair has a natural ombre style to it, the ends a honey blond compared to the rest of the brown waves. Her hair reaches the top of her chest and is parted one the left, the right majority slightly falling in front of her right eye. Her dark grey eyes are often narrowed but are big and expressive. She has thin, dark eyebrows and long, dark lashes. Emma has a few piercings much to her brother’s distain. She has a stud on the left side of her nose when you look at her and sometimes it is a ring. In her right ear are three cartilage/helix piercings, the lower one attached to a silver, ball chain that is connected to a piercing on her upper lobe. She has 2g plugs in both earlobes which will either be a galaxy design or owl heads. On her left ear she has a ring in her tragus and just two piercing in her cartilage/helix. She has a fair complexion and tends to tan easily. Emma is the solitary type who tears herself apart out of self-hate and pity. She gets depressed often and has a morbid outlook on life. She is hot tempered and stubborn, never giving in even if her way is the harder option. Emma will often lash out for no reason and clings to her emotions, keeping them bottled up. She suffers slight depression. She believes she killed her parents because she was the reason they were out. Face claim is Sydney Sierota. Like her brother she can control glass only the only difference in their abilities is that while Jason can make it into something new, Emma can shatter it into shards and even into tiny specks. If she focuses she can change glass back to sand. other thepineappleincident

[ they're gonna be fineee ]
[ also yo!! ]
After essentially just flinging the keycard down onto his dressed, Piper walked back out towards the rec room where Wisteria was sitting and minding her own business. The minute he stepped into the doorway she lowered the book from her face and gave him a smug smile, and made a grandeur flip of her wrist. "So what's the news?"
"The news is I'm screwed!"
Stile flicked his eyes over at Lilah and gave her a knowing look, shaking his head slightly. He'd warned her about getting so smitten with a Class A girl, but when did Lilah ever actually listen to him? Never, she never did. Though that was abit of a hypocritical thing for him to think, but he'd never let her know that. Nope. Stay away from Class A. "Try the first gym room, the bigger one. She's usually there," he offered with a slight nod, before reaching for Lilah's bag of chips. "Don't look so forlorn, my friend."

Cassie nodded, muttering a quick thank you before scrambling out of the room. Oh sheesh, she really hoped that she hadn't screwed up this girl's schedule. She did as instructed, finding her way to the gym with some help from the very unhelpful signs placed around the school. Once there, she slowly pushed open the door glancing around. "Uh, hello?"
Lilah sighed. "Just... Wish she didn't hate B so much? I mean, we're not all terrible!" She pouted, "Woes of having feelings! What are these human emotions?" Ever the drama queen, she was.

[ ayy nice, welcome to the rp! and wow Earl seems like he might have a bit of a problem there- ]
Stile snorted and rolled his eyes at Lilah, poking her cheek with his free hand. Even though he warned her about it, he couldn't help but feel for her, and silently hope for the success of her crush. Every day he was closer to making a point of helping her out with it, but he was almost certain she'd kill him for it. "Oh come on, I'm sure she has a good opinion of your charm. Let's be real, you're too shy to talk to her half the time," he pointed out, glancing around at the other students in the cafeteria. "And I know that you only know what Fiona's up to in her free time cuz you go and stare at her abs-"

Lilah snorted, spinning on the metal of the chair to face him, leaning forward slightly with her hands on her knees. "A good opinion of my charm? Aaand what charm is that? The part where I beat people up? Or the part where I throw flowers I cough up in their face?" She rolled her eyes, her sigh significantly more genuine this time. "Fiona isn't exactly the type to like that, gurantee you. I mean, she's Class A after all. The good kids." She shrugged, facing forward again. "And I do not! I just happen to see her in there a lot, okay? It's not a stalker thing."

Fiona relaxed as she entered the training room, feeling so incredibly at home. She practically lived in Building 03 and spent the majority of her free time training. She had to stay on top of it, otherwise she'd end up like one of the monsters in the yard. There were a few targets set up in the middle of the room and, moving over to a rack on the side of the room, she picked out a spear. While light weapons and things that were actually dangerous were kept in the armory, practice weapons were everywhere. She preferred her spear over guns or the other close combat weapons. With her long arms, the reach it allowed her was insane. Spinning the shaft in her hands, she set to work, driving the butt of the spear directly into the target's chest before flipping the spear in her hands and thwapping the fake blade right into the fake monster's head. Every hit sent a satisfying tremor up her arms, and she had just begun to sweat a little when she heard the door open behind her. She paused for a moment, pushing a stray strand of hair from her face as she turned to see who had interrupted her and was surprised to see a face she didn't recognize. Oh right, the new kid. Spinning the spear in one hand, she walked towards her as she smiled, "Hey, you're the new kid! Good to meet you, I would have met you when you first came but I got held up." Stopping in front of the tiny new kid, she offered her free hand, "I'm Fiona, Leader of Class A. Welcome to Bermuda Bay."

[ when Fiona and Cassie get acquainted i can skip to the patrol if y'all want 👌 ]
Stile just shook his head, holding up a finger at Lilah in protest. "Don't sass me, we both know that you could make friends out of the devil. You're funny and likable and adorable, I'm sure she's not blind to that," he insisted, sounding more genuine than usual, at least trying not to be a sarcastic jerk for once. But at her last protest he fought a smirk, mouth twisting up mischievously. "Oh really? You happen to be in the gym a lot cuz you wanna train huh? Totally not to ogle a girl? Alright, whatever you say!"

Cassie gulped as she had to crane her neck to look Fiona in the eye. And she had a spear. A real- well, fake-ish -spear. To hit and stab and kill things with. Oh god. She swore she felt a little bit sick with the reminder of what she was learning to do here. Sure, she understood it was the morally correct thing to do, and Cassidy Steele was always ready to be the hero. It was still scary, though. "Ah! Thank you!" She shook the girl's hand enthusiastically. "Sorry, I would have come to see you sooner, but I genuinely had no clue I was supposed to. Actually, hah, the only reason I'm here was because these two kids in the cafeteria said I should probably go talk to "the leader of Class A." Which I guess is you." Her nerves had to be showing through her rambling. "My name's Cassie, by the way. Cassidy Steele."
Lilah held her hands up in defense. "Hey! I know I'm great and all, but only to people who are of lesser greatness than I." She pay Stile's cheek with a sympathetic look. "Sorry sweetie. But Fiona? She's like... Like a whole other level. So my poor, lower level wiles wouldn't do anything to her! I doubt she'd be impressed with a card trick. It's alright though, I'm sure we'll all die before we even worry too much about things like that, right?" At his next comment, she almost looked offended. Patting her arms, the girl scoffed. "Excuse you! Do you see these? You don't get arms like these in a day, Stile! Okay, I train a lot and I do it very hard and very well, and sure, the view might be an added bonus, but it's all for a good reason!"

Fiona shook the hand eagerly before shaking her head, "Nah, don't worry about it. If anyone should be apologizing, it should be me. I meant to meet you when you arrived, but it's been a rather interesting day. A little bit of a situation with the Class B leader, but it'll all work itself out, one way or another." She gestured towards the training room around her with the weapon in her hand, "I guess we can cut the tour a little short then, if you've already seen the cafeteria and Building 03. This is where a lot of the training happens, so it's a good place to find a sparring buddy. And as long as you keep an eye out for most of Class B, you're going to survive most sparring matches." Suddenly realizing how callous that sounded, she tried to backtrack, "Not to say you're inevitably going to die in a sparring match, that rarely ever happens."

Stile didn't look too happy about Lilah's depressing comment and swatted her hand away. "Personally, I think you just need to try harder. I mean I know I said to stay away from them, but I don't want you to be unhappy. Besides, I also know you're 100% capable of wooing her," he said a bit sternly before getting to his feet and stretching, shooting her another smug look. This was not a hole she could dig herself out of. He reached out and gave her bicep an affirmative squeeze and made an impressed face. "These muscles? Hm, perhaps you DO train, but boy I have never seen you train in the same room as her. Remember last time when you were just holding that knife for like 20 minutes and trying not to stare at her when she was standing next to you? Iron will, baby."

[ THE DAB STICKERS ARE BACK why are we giving Cassie a gun?? ]
Cassie's expression immediately morphed into one of confusion and concern. "Rarely?" She squeaked. "Rarely as in, it does happen? More than once?" Oh god, that girl was right, she was going to die so quick. "Well uhm- maybe you could tell me how training works here? I've never had any kind of combat training before, and I would really rather not... be "rarely."" Then, perking up a little, she suggested, "And maybe after that you could introduce me to a few people? If you have the time, of course. It's just that I don't really know anyone and quite honestly I've been a little scared to talk to people."
Lilah glared at her friend, puffing out her cheeks with indignation. She raised a finger, wagging it in his face. "Hey! Heyyyy! That is not true! That did not happen! Okay, remember? I just felt sick that day, I told you that! I had eaten too much for breakfast. It was perfectly normal! I'm not some lovesick puppy. My life does not revolve around this girl!" Yeah, Lilah really didn't like to accept the fact that she had been hopelessly pining after Fiona for about two years. "Here! Do you want me to go to the gym right now? So I can show you that I can train with her in the same room? I mean, assuming she's there? Because I will do that if that's what it takes!"
|

Post by amberice on Sept 4, 2016 23:08:12 GMT -5
Fiona gave her a dumbfounded look, mouth dropping open slightly. No combat training. How had she even ended up her at all? Fiona wasn't aware that was even possible! Managing to collect herself, she spoke slowly and carefully, "Well, we'll start you with the basics, give you a basic rundown of the standard weapons. Then you can choose what you'd like to specialize in. For example, I can shoot a gun, but I specialize with a spear." She flipped the weapon in her hand to illustrate the point. Fiona said, "You'll start out in sparring with someone to get a feel for combat. Then you'll move up and start working monsters. It's really not so bad, it's actually fairly simple once you get used to it. I'm almost positive you won't die."

[ IT'S A SIGN, DUDE. and cuz i want to see what would happen ]
Stile doubled over with laughter, gripping his knees and looking up at her with tear-filled eyes. "You? Your life doesn't revolve around this girl? That's the biggest lie I've ever hear in my entire life," he wheezed, straightening himself out and brushing a tear from his eye. The denial was so strong, he almost felt bad. Crossing his arms over his chest, he turned towards the door. "If you're so desperate to prove yourself, then sure. I haven't seen some solid entertainment in quite some time."

[ what about a sawed off shotgun. The most un-cassie weapon I can imagine. Or an axe. ]
Lilah's expression hardened. As soon as Stile had straightened up again, she slammed a fist into his gut. "I hate you, you know that, right?" The next second, she back to a wide grin, hopping up out of the chair. Grabbing Stile's arm, she pulled him to his feet and dragged him along with her out of the cafeteria. "This is not for me, remember. This is because you are too stupid to understand the circumstances, capeesh?"
Evidently, this must not have been something that happened often. Or at all. Oh fun! She was a special circumstance! And she was in the good class! How was she supposed to match up to them? "...so who would I be sparring with? Anyway I can make sure, you know, someone doesn't go too hard on me?" She laughed awkwardly, rubbing her arm. "Oh, and how soon will I be made to hunt monsters? I mean, do they make sure I'm ready? Or do they not care if I die?"

[ Cassie with either of those strikes legit fear into my heart ]
Stile let out a pitiful squeak of a noise being punched in the gut, totally caught off guard and nearly stumbling flat on his face in his surprise. "You...A-hole!" he gasped, barely able to collect himself before Lilah dragged him out into the hall. With a hit like that he knew that those muscles had to be legit, and never expected to meet them personally. "Sure, this totally isn't for you. Maybe there will be eye candy for me?" he scoffed sarcastically, letting her tug him around like a loose marionette. Currently, there were not better ways to spend his afternoon.

Fiona rubbed the back of her neck, shaking her head, "In class, you get paired with who you get paired with, there's not a whole lot of choosing. But I can give you some extra help outside class and I promise not to kill you." She smiled widely, patting Cassie's shoulder. She wasn't about to let one of her classmates get destroyed just after arriving. "And don't worry about the monsters, Class A protects its own and none of us want to see you get destroyed on your first patrol. Which is tomorrow morning, so we better find you a weapon." She gestured towards the ranks of practice weapons on the wall, "So you a gun kinda kid or are you more into swords, spears, that sort of thing?"

With a roll of her eyes, Lilah released Stile, crossing her arms over her chest as she walked. "Maybe someone's else is in there? Look, you'll be fine, it'll only take a little bit, just to prove I'm right, okay? I'll buy you some pretzels in return." Her gaze focused on the forest visible outside the sky bridge, wondering if Risher was still alive, he was trapped somewhere out there. Eugh, that was an unsettling thought. She turned back ahead, ignoring these thoughts. Once at the doors, she flung them open, which resulted in a rather obnoxious bang. She noticed that the newbie had, in fact, found Fiona, which was probably good for her. And good for Lilah too, hopefully Fiona would be too distracted with the new kid, and she could prove to Stile that she was not flustered and could easily train in the same room as the Class A girl. "Wanna spar with me? Or am I going I have to punch some poor, innocent dummy?"
Cassie wanted to say neither. She wasn't a weapons sort of person, though that was going to have to change, wasn't it? She bit her lip, looking over all the available weapons. "Uhm... I mean, I don't really know what I'm good with... I've never used anything like all this before. But uh, I've gone hunting before? Like, once or twice, so maybe a gun? Hah, I mean, at least I know how to not kill myself with a gun. Pretty sure I would fall on a sword."

Fiona nodded, looking a touch less worried now. If she had handled a gun before, then she wasn't entirely incompetent. She'd need someone to stick with her in the search tomorrow to make sure nothing went awry, but it gave her a little more hope that the newest recruit wouldn't be killed off immediately. Tapping her chin, she nodded, "Maybe a sniper rifle then, it's probably closest to what you've used. Unfortunately, we don't have any sim weapons for the guns, we'd have to check them out of story of you wanted-" The sound of the door crashing open caused Fiona to spin on a dime. One arm flung out to the side as she took step to put herself between Cassie and the source of the noise while her other arm readied the spear. It was a purely instinctual response, far too used to crashing noises being directly followed by something trying to eat her. However, the source of the noise was far more innocent this time and she relaxed her stance. While Stile got no more than a quick glance, she smiled as she sat Lilah, who was the least awful of the mutants. Fiona saw her in here often, training, and couldn't help but admire her work ethic. Turning back to Cassie, she ran a hand through her hair, smiling sheepishly, "Sorry, force of habit."
